There're some fantastic things here. I particularly like other peoples MOCs for the small details and here, my main "technique" takeaway is that hammer design. I'll echo the comments above about the skeleton picture composition. It's dang near perfect with "normal" lighting and editing. I wonder what a serious Photoshopper could do with it

Lovely little vig SK! I've really got to acquire some of those teeth pieces, they are certainly awesome for snow.

I commented on Flickr already, but the texture here certainly deserves significant praise. Well done sir! -
Thanks Kai! I grabbed the "exhaust-blown" brush idea from a couple of our other Octan builders that have done similar things. Thanks Kodan! I agree with the bad angle here, the aero engineer in me kicked in saying "dihedral in low wings is good!" And I listened... Star Wars but prettier was exactly what I was going for! Thanks!

Remarkably clean build LittleJohn. While the angled building is easy to achieve on that mirror smooth surface, the tiny angle adds a lot. Love that short dune too. I can't help but wonder what another color would have done for this instead of using black for those stalks. What is it with M.A.N.T.I.S. though? You people are always either packing serious heat or are parked right next to a armory!

Been a while since the AG scorpion infestation has been documented--this is a fine addition! Its legs are a bit weak in my opinion though. Do you have any of those round "click-hinge" parts like in the LotR spider sets?

Cool shaping, it looks a bit like a face--intentional?

Agreed! The new threads are sweet. I also really like the ship's wheel coming from the ceiling.

Location: H06 - Farmolis Tags: vehicle, land vehicle, exploration --Weekly Explorer's Transmission-- --Log of Eagle-Eye Silver-- --28 Septembrinali 3815-- Mr. LaRose called me back home to Farmolis to test a new toy speeder. The new model of the high speed Super Swiftsure! Zipping through the forests and plains of the Farmolis wilderness, I put the Mk. 2 through its paces. It’s not all that maneuverable really, but in a straight line on a chilly, low humidity day this speeder will approach 500 kph with a tail wind. While none of the Swiftsures—much less the “Super” models—have much in the way of cargo space for actual exploration gear and sensors, due to their range and speed, I told Jacques that the Super Swiftsure Mk. 2 ought to be standard issue for scouting missions on suitable planets to map potential points of interest for follow-up with more scientifically equipped explorers. --End-- C&C is always welcome!

This turned out really well mediumsnowman.

I'm getting some Batmobile from the engine, and I like it!

Love that little ship I do think you ought to get some better lighting for the pictures though. You've clearly got the LEGO skills, now we need some bright, crisp pics to enjoy them through!

Woah, I'm filing that flail design away for future use!

Man, you've definitely mastered landscaping this section of Nocturnus!

Solid landscaping effort here Kai! The colors certainly pop.

Ah, those Aquazone pipes bring back memories! The original Aquazone theme was one of my favorites. As to the MOC, I think a valve or two using one of the big steering wheels would have elevated this with some additional detail.
