Ahaha, I love it!

Fantastic work, there's something just so clean and real about your MOCs, and it just makes them far more engaging. I really like the last three frames, the figures expressions are perfect, and as always, the builds are stellar too!

Bhahahahahahahahahaahahahahhaaha! Now I look like an extreme idiot. I'll just insert this to salvage some dignity, I suspected AmeriBricks was a fake, all along...

I can misspell mum as mom. Just as dr_spock decreed, I'm being assimilated into the realms of unbearable 'MURICAN-ness! Noooo! -

I'm still not sure if this is a April fools extended into one of the Eurobricks month themes, or reality. I guess I just have a dislike of overly patriotic smear-in-your-face patriotism of any country. -
The temple is a gem, as are the insides of the wall. Great work as usual!

Devorah, yeah, basically. I am really grateful for all the stuff the staff do, but the community of Eurobricks is the site's lifeblood, and I feel it was stuffed around by not giving us options. Although I don't think poor Hinckley would appreciate being called a would-be-terrorist! Nice signature, if I do say so myself... -
That gatehouse is sheer brilliance! I love the arch, and how you were able to portray the stonemasonry, which is really good. The angles give the moc a very realistic, imposing nature. Your other buildings are great too, as well as the storyline.

Great review, although I think I'll just Bricklink the figures!

Welcome to Ameribricks.com - Major Changes Coming!
Carousel replied to Shadows's topic in Forum Information and Help
The best option on the part of Eurobricks staff would have been to create a poll about the name change, so the community could truly put their input/opinion in, because, quote, this is a "Major Change" to the site's identity. Other than the one-nation-targeting that Devorath and others have pointed out, I really find the lack of any pre-decision utilisation of the actual Eurobricks community's opinion offensive. -

Hinkley, I think you're being a bit mean. Yes, you may disagree, but please don't mock. -

Eurobricks never screamed out their European origin, never smeared the sites nationality in your face with garish, ugly colours, with stupid mottos and stereotypical characters. That's exactly what AmeriBricks does, and to you, Eurobricks staff, while you meekly tried to make the site more appealing to your largest audience, you've weakly turned your back on your origins, and on every other country that isn't the USA. Pathetic, and shame on you. I'll be continuing to use the site all the same, but I'll still call the it Eurobricks, not some misguided April Fools joke that never ceased to stop. I'd suggest that you tone down the American patriotic colours and get a more neutral motto, and if you do that, I, and quite a few others, will be quite a bit happier. I'd also suggest, in the future, against launching major site changes on April Fools day, no matter how foolish they are. Rant over. -

So it's real. Yay. Happy. I never personally thought of Eurobricks as being specifically aimed at one audience in particular (Europe), the colour scheme didn't blatantly yell one single country's patriotism, the European branding was minimal, and I found the site to be very universal. Eurobricks staff, look what you've done now. AmeriBricks is an atrocious name, catering to only one nation alone, it sounds terrible, the new forum colours are garish and bloody ugly, and it's far from universal. You guys stuffed up. -

The amount of American patriotism on this thread is enough to last me the rest of my lifetime. That aside, I'd take a look at my signature. If this isn't some over-the-top April Fools joke (I'm actually not sure about it), it'll be my signature for quite a while. -
REVIEW: 71001 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10
Carousel replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Really great review, as always, WhiteFang! I'm extremely glad to see that the Revolutionary Soldier and Centurion aren't some of the rare minifigures, which will accommodate my hoarding brilliantly.- 114 replies

Not sure if misguided April Fools prank or reality. If it is reality, Ameribricks is a completely unnecessary change, it sounds tacky and is a really sad way of disconnecting from the sites roots. -

(MOC) "Towers Rising" and "A Test of Strength"
Carousel replied to Mark of Falworth's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Another fantastic work! Mark, thanks for fuelling my unhealthy appetite for your wonderful Mocs. On a side note, the Bridge Tower in the middle of the river oddly reminds me of House Frey, the lords of the crossing, from Game of Thrones. Anyway, keep on making such great scenes! -
Here's a question which I have pondered for ages - why aren't there any (not even one) Official Lego Stores in Australia? Lego operates 34 official retail outlets in the US, why can they not even manage to have at least one in Australia (preferably near/in Sydney, as it is the biggest city and... I live close to it )? The population of the US is roughly around 300 000 000, meaning that 300 million รท 34 Lego retail shops = each store caters for at least 8 823 529 people. In Australia, the populace is vastly smaller, with an estimated (2011) 22 620 600 people. So using the results of the US equation, 8 823 529 people/shop + 8 823 529 people/shop = 17 647058, which is close to the total population of AU. So theoretically, shouldn't there be at least 2 official Lego Stores across Australia to cater for the population? It's not like Lego can't afford to build a few new stores, they're doing it all the time in the USA and other counties similar to Australia, plus the whole company is on the up as they are a highly successful brand.

Sorry, my mistake, I didn't realise - won't do it again.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8504/8307482867_16b3b393e1.jpg I stitched all the photos together to replicate the actual Lego Catalog layout, and to give everyone a better view of the sets together! I'll be buying some of the sets for pieces (as I do with most licensed themes); such as the white and black variants of the new horse, the silver bars, the canoe, Native Americans, new hats/faces/torsos/legs and a few other accessories.

Your guide to Tournament of Retribution III

Lego have really outdone themselves with these figures - they've ignited an extreme excitement on my part! I positively love the Revolution Soldier, finally a bluecoat to take on my 2009 redcoats. I'll be hoarding them them for sure There are so many other fantastic figures too (Tomahawk Warrior, Tin Soldier, Sea Captain, Roman Commander). I have my doubts though that Lego will include both the Revolutionary Soldier and the Tin Soldier in one series... I just hope the RS is in series 9, so I can get him sooner. Really great, thanks Aanchir for sharing this!
