  1. I finished the mechanism for the rear so I put the body work in place with just 2 pins and took a video. [media] [media]
  2. Thank you everyone. The car is a long way from finished as I want it to do everything that the one in the movie does. I had a design for driven and swinging rear wheels but they would have been useless as soon as they folded away. Same for steering and folding front wheels so I didn't even try making them. I hoped it would look like magic; the wheels fold up and it levitates then hovers away. You have to pick your camera angle carefully so as not to give the game away.
  3. Here's what I have so far. lego 061 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr lego 062 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr lego 066B by jamesjtillson, on Flickr lego 068 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr lego 069 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr The body was scaled off the wheels, 5571 wheels on the back and 8421 wheels on the front but I had to raise the hood by 1 stud to allow the front wheels to swing. The headlights pop up and the chin spoiler goes up as missile launcher opens (between the headlights). I still have to do a periscope and the entire back end (where the props and rudders fold out). The hardest part will be getting the 4 stabilizers to pop out just above the wheels arch covers.
  4. Also congratulations to 4th placed Hyster & 16th placed Liebherr that also made Alasdair's list. I am surprised that Lipko's Hotrod(6th), Appie's Wall-E(9th), falconluan's DT-54(12th) and rm8's landcruiser(11th) didn't also make the HoF as they are all as functional and aesthetically pleasing as Milan's Liebherr.
  5. My advice is: buy a tested and working 8366 for all the RC parts and fit the hard plastic wheels (that should come with it) on the back for drifting. http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/44777
  6. Great job. Well proportioned and instantly recognizable. Did you just chop a little out of the standard chassis or is it all MOC? Thought I'd seen this somewhere before - somebody was asking for instructions... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105113&hl=42029
  7. Staggering! I had seen the pictures of this before but I didn't appreciate the size size of it until just now when I saw what you used for a steering wheel. Did you start with unimog wheels and scale up from there?
  8. NIck, I am very glad to see you here on eurobricks for the first time. Lipko, Milan and I'm sure many others, including me, think your Liebherr is excellent just the way it is. I know you have a huge back catalogue of equally impressive system and technic MOCs to share with us. Welcome! I can't wait to see what you come up with for our next competition.
  9. With more time and more parts I think you could have made this work.
  10. Fantastic model. Jeroens in right about those rear fenders. Buy four or eight 7L red soft axel (part 32580, about $0.25 each from Bricklink) from set 8048 and 8068, that would make it just about perfect. Well done!
  11. Here is a slighty smaller 9v Battery box but it has the old style connections. http://rebrickable.com/parts/4760c01 I got mine from 8456 but is appears in many sets form 1985 to 1998.
  12. You guys don't need to keep guessing, I already told you what it means. Have a look at an 8265 box, there is no 9th day of the week but it was produced in 2009. Or a 8053, there is no 0 day of the week but it was produced in 2010. It would be very strange if all my 2014 sets were produced on a Wednesday and my 2012 sets on a Monday. Somebody PM Blakbird I'm sure he will comfirm if you don't believe me.
  13. It could be like sticker seals on lego boxes and refer to week and year of production, so 19th week 2014.
  14. Mahjqa, Do you pay royalties on any of the Batman vehicles that you sell?
  15. Does anybody "police" the votes by sending a gentle PM members that award points to the same model twice or only vote for 5 models instead of 6?
  16. This looks great in blue and white. Four RC buggy motors should make it very fast! Take out the braking system to reduce the weight, it will accelerate even faster! Never again apologies for "bad English", you make fewer mistakes than most English speaking people, including me. I spell check everything I write and I still get things wrong.
  17. My Mum bought me 8256 for Chrismas in 2010. I built an elephant with it - I never did like following instructions. One new AFOL bought 16 technic sets of me in the last 2 weeks and he says he will be back for more soon.
  18. Top/middle picture on the box lid. https://www.google.co...424370759135076 Somebody did manage it http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/242267
  19. Is anybody doing a running total? I lost track after the first 7 voters.
  20. I tried to build that soooo many times when I was little but I never had enough parts using just my 853. I would like to know if anybody ever managed to build it.
  21. 21: 10 33: 6 5: 4 26: 3 31: 2 3: 1
  22. 4 of the TC6 entries have made it on to thelegocarblog in the last few days!
  23. Terrafugia want to talk to me about my model! That maded me a giddy as a teenager - I just hope they realize I'm a 43 year old who still plays with lego and not actually a teenager. This how close I got... overlay 5 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr
  24. Have a look at the front of 42021. It has an upper and lower arm that work together to maintain neutral camber. For other examples look at 8070, 8048, 42000 or 42037. All have an upper an lower arm.
