Yes, that floor is great, and some very elegant minifigure fashion here as well! Just the proper way to start a story about tulips The chairs are great too and the story is excellent - I love how everything he is proposing to sell is actually in the room around them right now Awesome job!

[COR - Faction Flavours] Forger's Quarters, Hilto
Garmadon replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice - great use of the barrels sideways in the back wall; not quite sure I'm buying the ones standing straight up though (they kind of look like columns which doesn't match with the log-cabin look of the others if you think of it that way ). But the quilt and table are sweet! -
[COR - ChIVC Mirco Prize] ETTC Sugar Mill, Jameston
Garmadon replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This is so adorable! The yellow and the wheel are great, and I'm loving how it really does look a lot larger until you look in close! -
Did I never comment on this? Beautiful work, the angles are very nicely handled and the yellow curving up the bow is great! But the presentation in the water is really superb - the waves and foam add so much to an even otherwise great vessel. Excellent job!

[COR - ChIVE] ETTC Villa, Terraversan Interior
Garmadon replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This is so nice, Ayrlego. Elegance is definitely the right word for it, but it's not ostentatious at all - more of a subdued sort of elegance that embraces all the shades of green around it and the light bouncing off the polished white villa walls. Really nicely done! -
Great use of that algae, Kai! Was wondering if you'd ever do something with it The colors here (and the turtle...) are gorgeous, even though it's so small, and that raft technique with the tread pieces is just brilliant Looks like some crazy balancing going on though (especially with that shark!), I don't envy you the photography Now tell us what happens next!

[COR-FB] Captain Scarver at Port Woodhouse
Garmadon replied to Justsomebrix's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I really like this build - such a classically colonial Caribbean look and feel too it Great backstory too, we need way more privateers in BoBS! Looking forward to seeing your finished cutter!- 15 replies

[SR - FB] Palacio de Ratas Marinas, 128 x 112, Bastion
Garmadon replied to NOD's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This is such a clever combination of a castle and a loghouse and works great as a sea rat hotel! The balconies all around and the columns in front are some of my favorite details, and the layered, almost studless grass and sand is an awesome approach to landscaping at such a fine resort. Really nice job! -
Love that wave! Trans-light blue is soo gorgeous. Great job with the boat and the posing too, and the rope and papers on the pier are perfect (though it seems like that wave might do the whole pier in ) One of my favorites of your vigs for this storyline so far, looking forward to what happens next!

[OL- CH IV - CAT D] Checkpoint North
Garmadon replied to Thomas Waagenaar's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Love how massive and well-built this looks, tower, bridge, covering cannon and all! The lanterns and palm trees are a great touch as well and along with the birds and sand green give this such a decided and well-defined vibe - can't quite place it (somewhat Caribbean, I think though? Or maybe French North African, now that I read the comments ) but it's awesome! Great work! The protcullis is sweet too! -
[OL - FB] Essian Reiterhaus, Fort Arltrees
Garmadon replied to Khorne's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
So much dark red! I really like this, Khorne, and it's always awesome to see more of the Essians! The spires and emblem above the door and roof color are excellent, and your extra-gloomy photoshopped pic is just gorgeous! -
[ESL- Ch IV, Cat F] The Dragon’s Lair
Garmadon replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Love the old abandoned, almost haunted feeling that you've really nailed with the spider's web and that gorgeously colored roof! Great job with the rickety boards and the bit of dark tan landscaping, and that croc is brilliant as well! On another note, where did this month go??? Can't believe that the deadline is upon us already (and I missed it!) Oh well, will just have to build Captain Nordau a full black flag fleet now- 12 replies

Deep in the forests of Torrach Bonn, on the Grand Teraxladl river lies a magnificent waterfall often haunted by deer to bask in the moonlight and enjoy the refreshing water. Those few explorers from Puerto Alijo who have ventured this far into the interior and have had the good fortune to stumble across this hidden cascade have often been heard to dream of building a cabin on its edge... Hey y'all! It's been a while since I've last built something for BoBS but I hope to have more coming your way soon! And to tide us over for now here's a nature scene I built for the Summer Joust and LEGO Ideas puzzle contest which I thought I'd share with you all as well! And I've made it to the voting phase on Ideas now as well and there are a couple of days of voting left, so I'd love all the votes y'all would like to throw my way! (Shameless self-plugging here ) Hope you all enjoy it, and C&C are welcome as always! ~Garm

[SR - Ch IV - Cat. F] Baywatch
Garmadon replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
So Professor Thaum! What a clever idea, and this is like a brilliantly different approach at a lighthouse and yet still recognizeably one - very nicely done! As the others have mentioned excellent job with the spiralling stairs and giant lantern on top, and I'm quite surprised by how well you got the wooden area around the building to match with the railings! -
Commodore T Spoon is sailing
Garmadon replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
You know I love ships on rowboat hulls (speaking of which, you should be seeing more of those soon(tm), I hope! ), but now I've got to get one of these ones too! I like this so much - I'm very impressed by how fun (as always!) but also realistic you also somehow managed to somehow make it look! Those brickbuilt sails work very well too, so very nice work all around! Soo Captain... where are the monkeys? -
Introducing Commodore Spoon
Garmadon replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This is such a nice little build, Captain! Love those steps up to the doorway - and by the way, you make those look so easy!! I know from experience that they are not Especially on such a small rock - and the tassels and lantern and crane look fantastic as well, and make for such a fun and quirky little house - and that cannon as well; always good to be prepared! Especially if your enemy is Captain Cookie... Looking forward to what happens with the good old Commodore! -
On the edge of the eastern side of Varlyrio, brushing up against the mountains where the dwarves and gnomes have their dwellings, there is a great waterfall formed by the great, rocky wall of stone that leapt up in the midst of the river when the two islands collided together in the legendary past. The mists hung low over this waterfall when Dialto de Fiori rode up to it, wounded and heartsore after the great tragedy of his would-be-wedding, with a broken lance-end from his challenge to Sir Baiamonte embeded in his side... Hey y'all! It's been too long since I've posted here, but I hope this makes up for the delay! Built for the SJ Ambiance category (though I don't expect to win anything - there are way too many fantastic entries!), but it's was an awesomely inspirational category and I'm really happy with how it turned out! Inspired by an illustration of Sir Pellias from an old book on King Arthur and his knights, and this part in particular of the awesome history of Varlyrio (which I wrote ) is something I've always wanted to flesh out in the brick! Also (in a slightly different version - but gotta admit I prefer the medieval one, haha! ) I made it to finalist in the Ideas contest! Would love any votes y'all want to send my way! Thanks for viewing, y'all's C&C is always more than welcome!

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Garmadon replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Hugely intrigued by your bow technique, @lmcpicture, I'd love to see what could be done with it at a larger scale sometime! Your overall shape is gorgeous though, and for such a small-ish ship you've got quite a nice armament on board! -
Lovely hall and beautiful colors and lighting, Aurore, and those vines creeping around the window on the outside are just gorgeous! I love that you've even made the exterior ornate as well, and your minifig combos are always soo good Great job with the furniture and floor tiling (those nexo knight shields work really well), and I enjoyed the story too! Excellent work!
-
This is a super nice vig, @mrcp6d, fantastic job packing so much into such a small footprint! The statue itself is very nice - love that helmet, for one thing! - and the action in both segments of the economy looks great and bustling as well! Digging the dark-trans color choice for the water below too - works so much better than a blue would here
-
Aha, nice turning of the story indeed! Looking forward to seeing more of the Baiamontes and to what will come of this arrangement Good work with the somewhat chaotic landscape in the builds too - those dark brown leaves work especially well as braken in the last one!
-
That is so insanely massive! - even for you, and you usually build big! Beautiful work getting all the sloped and angled walls to match perfectly, and great use of color throughout! The aqua and the gold/dark green section at the top are my favorite parts, probably - along with that chequered border - but you really did an amazing job over all!
-
Did I never comment on this here?? Nicely done, my fellow Varlyrian! - great touch with those double arches, and sideways approach works remarkably well for that tower! Quite the tulmutuous start to your storyline as well, looking forward to seeing where it takes you!
-
Very nice shrine and great use of that extra large torso, but what I'm most loving about this is the way you're tying in storylines across members and factions - and I was always an Axel fan, soo... The short story/explanation is great so Olean too
