Ah, I had forgotten how much fun it was plotting out a raid a very peaceful run for Captain Nordau Just wanted to mention as a reminder though that this BoBS card should be applied now to the Buccaneer's Dread (didn't see anywhere to mention it on the forms). Thankee!

Ooh, that's very pretty! Great layout of the building, and those colorful trees really set the scene here - such an effective use of those tooth pieces as well! One of my favorite micros I've seen in a while for sure!

Great build, Maxim, love that roof and the light yellow on the building! Smooth job with the corners both on the roof and balcony too, and those vines are really pretty!

Oh wow, that is big! Like Kai said, those gargoyles are great, and the architecture is phenomenal, very worthy of the great city of Pontelli I particularly like those windows above the flying butresses too, so good! And of course I spotted the monkey right away, He's doing the important stuff. Great stuff, Captain! You're inspiring me to get back to building!

Captain Nordau, most feared blackflag captain of the Brick Seas, returns to terrorize the oceans! Took him long enough. He's got a slight upgrade from the rowboat though! Whew - I definitely did not expect this to be such a lengthy project when I first started out, haha! This was supposed to be a three week build (ikr, ) back when I started it at the beginning of 2020, hahaha - and then I had the crazy idea of trying to get it to BrickWorld 2020... and then covid happened and well, three years later, here we finally are! And yes, I did make that ridiculous trip from South America to Chicago with this thing, hahaha! Oh, and in the meantime, I got an amazing offer from the generous guys at Lightailing to review their lights and sound effect boards, so yeah, that's been awesome too! Be sure to check out my full review/lighting guide on Innovalug's website! But (spoiler alert! ) I do highly recommend their stuff if you're looking for high quality custom lights that are sturdy and reusable to boot! Alright, to the pics! I know this is what y'all are here for, Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention - of course it has an interior! (Yes I'm mad - did I already say that? ) Starting from the front and working our way around back - up in first deck's fore we've got the galley, with a hearty stew going and a shark (not in this picture) dangling from the upper gun-deck for up coming messes But it was to be pork chops today! Get back here! A swarthy pirate stows away the barrels of rum in the hold below, While a petty officer keeps an eye on his private stash... At the stern we have the powder room, with kegs upon kegs of ammunition stowed away for piratical very peaceful expeditions. Not sure the midshipman ought to have a lantern in there... or about those stern cannons, but anyways! Moving to the upper deck, a swashbuckling pirate watches over the map, Not much to fear from these Imperialists though... Don't forget to make your bed (hammocks are too expensive )! Oh yes, this poor fellow stays busy - at least he's got good company! What's this? Looks like someone may have escaped - well, it wasn't that Carno governor or his daughter anyways... Cabin boy by the apple barrel. Mutineer's tip - either make the barrel too small or the apples too big, Torch 'em! Fire away, me hearties (this is actually the first deck, but oh well)! Here's the real stash - Only the parrot and the quartermaster know these secrets... The cook taking a break after a long day of work, A couple of interior pics before moving above decks - In these you can get a better look at the shark, haha. There are also a fiddler, another pig, and a sheep if you want to try to find them! What lies ahead? One never knows when you're roving on the endless seas. Where there are monkeys, there are... The governor's daughter, (Public relations with Carno isn't Captain Nordau's first priority...) Midships is... rather large, considering that this is the deck of a vessel! Meanwhile, high above... And reeeeaaally up high... And working our way toward the stern, where Captain Nordau scrutinizes everything himself, his trusty parrot by his side, A couple of mates chat together as they stare over the castle at the rolling waters far below, A closer look at that stern, what can I say (I love it! ) And, cannons firing! This looks... fun. And that, mates, is the Buccaneer's Dread! If I'm not mistaken, it be the largest physical ship in the Brick Seas yet - but I'd love for someone else to break that record before long! Hope you all have enjoyed this brief tour, and don't mind Captain Nordau plundering and raiding all your goods from now on... Yo, ho, ho, a blackflagging life for me! Phew! That is another lovely pair of vessels from you, mate! The hulls' curves are quite nice and smooth, especially the bow on the Endymion, and the sand and dark blue seeping from the stern towards the bow of the other ship is excellent I love the detailing that went into the decks on each vessel and even the way you expanded on the prefab anchor design, and the obvious time you put into the rigging here pays off as well. And of course, it goes without saying that the sailing picture is gorgeous! Amazing work, mate - definitely coming back to look at these next time I take up building a frigate!

Ach, this is gorgeous! I absolutely love the split levels and the effort you went through to give the entire thing some amazing interiors, and the sheer size and scale of it all are simply epic! The burnt orange and dark red are superb as well, and - yeah, I love it, I just love it all, Stunning work, mate - this'll surely be the tavern to go to in BoBS for a whole long time to come!

That is a lovely frigate you've got there, mate! The lines and stern are beautiful, and the deck details take it up to the next level. Really gorgeous work I want one!

If the council was going to go the way of history I can't imagine a better way to send it off - you're making me sad already Seriously though, as a good American there's no way I can't love this Great rendition of the council room too, and the darkened picture looks sweet and so in keeping with your story here!

So this is where everything was going? I have to say I was not expecting that! Lessiarty picked the wrong duo to go up against Really fun build and I especially love that final party version! . I see even the gorilla master made it to the celebration. And of course, never give drums to monkeys or children!

Long live King Fernando!

Dexus Rolander (after witnessing the epic showdown between the King and Count Lewisham) made up his mind pretty quickly. And he decided to show his support for King Fernando and his own leadership capabilities for the party in rather unusual fashion. But there's no denying the efficacy of it on the masses - who wouldn't want to support whatever faction this guy does? This was fun, A 12x12 "prominently featuring the color green," so, after a few failures it occurred to me, of course, crocodiles! And also, 12x12 is awfully small, hahaha! I had forgot how tiny that is! Not eligible for prizes, of course, but built for the Return of the King mini-challenge! C&C welcome as always!

This is really nice - those outrigger (maybe? ) canoes work great, and the sail is really awesome! And it looked even better in real life Of course - everyone knows a catamaran sails on its stomach. They seem to have enough chilis for quite a long voyage too

Ah, I love this idea and you've done a great job doing it justice - and then you've packed so much into such a small space! Great storytelling and idea, I'd love to see this expanded on even more!

Ah, I love that quote! Very nice work here, I'm intrigued by what will come next, and that definitely does look like some painful terrain to be dragging heavy guns across!

I know that joke and it still got me! This is good - the Marquis really gets around; I'm sure he didn't make much money on the flower fiasco, of course... And I've been wondering what to read recently, maybe I'll have to pick up another of the books by Donan Coyle.
