[COR-FB-ML] Flying Fish Fountain
Garmadon replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nicely done - the water effects are just about perfect Great use of those new curved tiles and the fish statues too! -
Episode 1 Episode 2 Episode 3 Episode 4 Episode 5 (you are here) As soon as he had heard about the Red Fandago (also known as Flynn Stewart) being found, Colonel Greybeard had gathered a band of his troop with all haste and dashed of to the docks where Sergeant Salt had spotted the highwayman. Well wait a second, allow me to correct that - the first thing he did was find a cab, and then he dashed off with the troop to the docks. But unfortunately, it took so long to find a carriage that in the end not much time was saved anyhow... Be that as it may, they were just tearing up the wharf when Sergeant Salt caught sight of the Red Fandago. "We've got him, Colonel!" he exclaimed - a bit prematurely, as Colonel Greybeard thought. Flynn Stewart was darting down the dock with all haste, carrying the last of his ill-gotten gains with him. Colonel Greybeard spotted a ship's gangplank resting up against the wood, Captain Blofeld waiting for his last crewman at the top of it and ready to depart. "Oh snap! - that chap!" exclaimed the Colonel under his breath. "We must catch this rascal - coach master, faster!" The troop leapt of the carriage and raced to the dock, reaching it just after the gangplank was pulled back and the Surprise began to move. Were they too late? To be continued... A couple last pictures without the carriage: The whole build: Next installment of the storyline - keep your weather eye(s) opened for more soon! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome as always!

Night Outing in NINJAGO City
Garmadon replied to Garmadon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks Agent, great to hear that! Yes I know it's not exactly the way it happened, but Flintlocke is such a nice fig I couldn't leave him out! Thank you! Thanks guys! I don't think I've seen a background forced perspective city-scape like this in LEGO before, but it really seemed to belong here, so I went ahead and took the plunge! -
[TSotEP] 4 - Hiring the Crew
Garmadon replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nicely done Captain B, great job showing the hiring of the crew, which is something very important but which we don't see in BoBS very often! I'm liking that green dandy too And fantastic job rebuilding my inn - very impressively well done! I'll have to try that for one of your builds sometime! -

Eslandola Colonial Council, Second Cycle, 618, IN SESSION
Garmadon replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Willoughby picked up his coin, turned it back and forth, shrugged, tossed it up and swallowed it. Then he promptly swiped the other two on the desk in front of him and bolted them too. Agent Guelds jumped towards his as Willoughby grabbed it, but was too slow, and he leaned back in his seat chagrined. He'd figured they might someday become collectables. The Lieutenant, as usual when there was nothing going on to let him talk about war, was sound asleep.- 207 replies

[TSotEP] 3 - An Inn in Quinnsville
Garmadon replied to Garmadon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks all! Thanks for getting me into this, Captain! Really glad you liked it! (And actually, I'm ending up using that floor technique again in my next build too ) Thanks Kai! I was kinda going off on a limb with the goblets in the wall, but I think it turned out well! Mom thought it was some kind of silver cordwood thing, though All credit for making Colonel Graybeard awesome goes to Captain B - I'm just trying to keep up with his dude! Thanks mate! Interiors like this are one of the staples of my MOC life- 9 replies

Hey y'all! Here's a recent build of mine, inspired (pretty obviously!) by New Ninjago City and the recent biker gang season. I kind of went out of my comfort zone with this - at any rate, it was a completely new theme for me! And unedited pic for those interested: And a closeup, And figless shot: This was my first build for the ongoing ABS Season 2 Finale using the Silver Goblet of Destiny - for those interested, you can find my second one on EB here. Credit to these two bikes especially for inspiration and some techniques, and all credit goes to Kai NRG/Geneva for the awesome edits! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!

Poor Alberto! We will have to remind Captain Whiffo that he'd better not bring his parrot into Pontelli... Very nice build - awesome work with the layout and architecture of the house, it looks very neat! And just out of curiosity - is it just me, or is the Asma April scene actually inside the house there?

Borg's face (albeit without glasses, strangely) actually comes in the Ninjago set with him in it - it is a double-sided face.

Lovely! - excellent ship all around, and the addition of those waves adds so much! Great color-scheme, and I'm liking the tiled deck!

That's totally Eslandola (and a couple of mad Corries)! Nicely done, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next! Oh, and that judge is just awesome

Episode 1 Episode 2 Episode 3 (you are here) In a new ETWC inn recently opened in Quinnsville... (Just one note about this inn - the reason it was such a success, I may as well say at once, was because of two things: one, it served a recently developed fizzling orange-flavored drink which was quite a hit, and two - a very strange thing for Quinnsville - it was a nice place to spend a quiet and peaceful time. With all their customers coming and going all the time nobody knows how they manage to do it, but they do.) Anyways, to return to the point, it was this inn that Colonel Greybeard went to whenever he was stressed or just wanted some of that orange juice. Today he was there with his aide, Lieutenant Stick. Some Corry lawyers (especially Frank, Frank, Frank, Frank and Wrzygrislovsky) had been getting on him again to pick up his chase of the notorious highwayman who had been attacking Corrington's travellers some time ago. Colonel Greybeard had managed to just recently find out that his real name was Flynn Stewart, but he hadn't figured out anything more than that. The Colonel began, Colonel Greybeard: This chap has an uncommon good knack at disappearing, old pal. We will need to recruit another regiment to chase him down, through thick and thin, cloud and fog. Lieutenant Stick: What, Colonel, has old Wrzygrislovsky been getting on you again? Colonel Greybeard: Just so, good chum. But jolly me, he isn't much help at actually helping us find the old chap. Just then Sergeant Salt burst in, confident as usual. Sergeant Salt: Well there, Major - pardon me, Colonel, I mean - I have found him! Colonel Greybeard jumped up. Lieutenant Stick: The Red Fandago? Sergeant Salt: Yes, yes, who else! I saw him on the docks just half an hour agone. Colonel Greybeard: But stop, my chap. You did catch him, right, at any rate, mate? Sergeant Salt: Oh no - that is, not yet. I was sure you would wish to do so yourself, good Colonel, so I dashed off here as fast as I could. Colonel Greybeard: Oh snap, old chap. Burst my buttons. Then let us go, on the double! He grabbed a cookie (oh yes, that was another reason the inn was so popular - they had George's excellent cookies there), and they all dashed out. Colonel Greybeard (muttering): Shiver me timbers, but a bird in the hand's worth two in the bush, or so they say. ... To be continued ... A couple more shots of the inn: A final overview: So yes, I am helping out with Captain B's awesome storyline again - hang in there for more to come soon! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!

Excellent!! A Garvey smuggler (who declines to give his name) wishes to take out a loan of the greatest quantity possible.* He says he's got quite a nice bit stashed away and a fairly constant income which derives from [what follows has been carefully erased and scratched out]. He doesn't care in the slightest what the interest rate is or how soon he has to pay up either. Signed by himself, Timothy Trugmutton (which is an alias, of course ) P. S. - Time is of the essence, or so he says. He's under the impression that people are more likely to do stupid things if in a hurry. *Which he has no intentions of ever paying back

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Garmadon replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Here are the ETWC and MCTC's pages, both of which seem to have member lists and the rest of the info you're looking for (Not positive on how up-to-date the MCTC's one is, but ours should be good ) -
Alrighty, looks good! Sign me up for helping out with the ADMRCA this time around (yeah, I know it says "PM Bregir or Legostone" - I'll do that too ). Oh, and could somebody pin this thing, please?

[COR - FB] Cocoa Plantation, Quinnsville
Garmadon replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nicely done, mate, an a very good plantation, and I'm glad to see the famous cocoa trees on Cocovia getting some more love! Also, I don't know what you did to the green in those renders there, but it sure looks fabulous with that reflection bouncing off - gives it a sort of swampy/junglish vibe that works really well!- 14 replies

[OL - February MRCA Build] The End of Gregory Decker
Garmadon replied to Captain Genaro's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Fabulous - loving the details and especially that stone wall here, and exciting to see that there's now one pirate threat less in the Brick Seas (well, maybe not - I'm sure there are plenty of others to take his place! )- 16 replies

Thanks all! Thanks Professor! Who can pass up the chance to get a monkey in a build? Thankee! Yes, it is pretty shallow - but as it happens, I don't have all that many tan slopes (and besides, I think it might just look a little odd from underneath if it was 3 bricks tall) But never fear, Captain Nordau is a fabulous navigator! No, unfortunately I don't. Kai's run off with her beautiful camera for a few months, so I'm stuck with a thing that thinks the shutter button is the signal to become blurry and out of focus I just had to keep snapping in hopes of getting a few good pics, but closeups are very hard and low angles (like under the water) are just about impossible. Thanks mate! Thanks Kai! I was obviously heavily inspired by W. Navarre's build from a while ago (remember this thing?), so, although I tried out some other heights, I ended up just going the same as him. I was really happy with the little sloop, though! Thanks Roadmonkey, glad you like it! I actually started with the island higher out of the water, but somehow it really just looked... wrong, strangely. So I went ahead and did what looked right over what might be more realistic Glad you enjoyed the story too! Thanks Elos! Really glad that you liked the underwater addition (it was built to be all viewable) even though I wasn't able to take better pictures of it down there! Ha, ha, well, that was why I put the skeleton there myself, to tell the truth Thanks mate! Thanks a lot, Capt Wolf! It was a wee bit of a challenge to get the water to hold up (a couple of bigger sea creatures down there helped hold it up ), but overall it worked pretty well!
