  1. Really nice work with this, Dk, those plants are very neat! I'm liking the clean and straightforward-ness of the build too
  2. Love that squid!! Brilliant parts usage! And excellent job with the underwater vegetation and those wrecks too!
  3. Nicely done! - great ships, and excellent portrayal of an exciting event in the world of BoBS! My favorite detail on the schooner is definitely the raked masts, that just adds so much
  4. So much going on here, and all of it really well done! I'm digging those rockets, and the interior is fabulous as well - your portrayal of some things like the chain and cartridge making are particularly neat and original!
  5. A new build from me! Finders Keepers...
  6. Previously: The Buccaneer's Dread Sinking of the Shuriken Burglars! Captain Nordau Our mysterious Garveyan smuggler whistled along as his little sloop sliced through the calm sea. It was a fine, cloudless day somewhere near Terraversa, and it so happened that just one day before, the notorious pirate Unrigged Nordau had had the good fortune to sink an Eslandolan ship somewhere in the vicinity... a ship with a chest on board... "Aha! Shiver me timbers, now what's this?" exclaimed our smuggler with a wink to no one in particular (he was the only one there), as he caught sight of a little sand bar sticking up out of the ocean, with a half-sunken object up against it, doubtless driven there by the waves and tide. "I thought so." And shifting course, he made way for the island, leaping out and drawing a pistol from his coat the instant the sloop's keel grated on the sand. He looked around in curiosity and caution. This chap was enough of a pirate, anyways, to know that you should always look twice if there happens to be a skeleton leaning up against the tree beside you. (In this case, however, it was only the remains of a poor marooned Mardierian who had been there long before the chest ever arrived). But, as the saying goes, better safe than sorry. Having concluded that the skeleton was merely a coincidence (not to mention its obvious aesthetic necessity - our smuggler was a adept at all the classic pirate stuff and probably knew exactly what was going on; a treasure chest is nothing if there's not a skeleton nearby) and that the confused frog posed no real threat, he carefully hauled the chest up onto the sand, and popped it open. "Capital, capital," he ejaculated, "the very ticket! Now, if that ain't just the thing." He slipped his hand through the treasure, quickly, before snapping the lid shut again and heaving it into the sloop. "1,000 Doubloons," he muttered under his breath... And a couple of fig-less shots: One last overview: A continuation of this story (I've got way too many going at the moment ), explaining how Captain Nordau got a hold of 1000 of my doubloons besides the 6000 from Kai. I'll be licencing this little sloop too and sending it out as a Black Flag (under Unrigged Nordau, of course), and will certainly be continuing this story when I get the time! ... whenever that might be I've also got that duel story with Titus, and the other mysterious Captain guy, and one or two other things up my sleeve that have got to get done, but...! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome as always!
  7. Captain B has returned! Great! Can't wait to watch as you keep unraveling this story! The inn is good as ever, and the dock is a really nice scene - great use of those big sloping printed pieces there! The houses are neat as well (do I have a sense of deja vu here? ), and I seem to spot a sig-fig or two in there as well That Captain certainly doesn't look overly friendly...
  8. Gorgeous! Lovely ship, Blackbird, and some awesome sails there! The ship's curves and overall color-scheme are excellent too - you've really finished this WIP off nicely!
  9. Nicely done, mate! The ruins are quite neat, and I'm liking that little bit of a build with the natives hid away in it! Great to see you're keeping up this story too!
  10. Exciting! Glad to see these islands finally getting a bit of love, and I see you've gone all out with this expedition too! Very nice little room - loving that doorway The colors are bold but they work well... and they instantly give away the fact that it was built by you! Looking forward to following this storyline!
  11. Another very nice little ship, Capt Wolf, keep 'em coming! This colorscheme really works remarkably well, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you mean to do with her!
  12. Excellent curtains there, mate, and with the tiled floor and micro-fig statues, this makes for a really nice and official-looking scene Great work with this!
  13. Well, here I was thinking of maybe going on a treasure hunting expedition myself sometime... might have to reconsider that Very nice build Kai, love the use of those rounded tiles, and as Legostone mentioned, that roof is really great as well! The chandeliers and other furnishings are excellent too, but I must say that I almost think the build looks better in the figless shots - don't know why (especially since it looked fine with figs IRL ), but it could quite possibly be because of the scale of the rest of the room compared to a minifig! At any rate, excellent work overall, and looking forward to more of Guy's treasure hunting whenever you get the time for it!
  14. Excellent ship, Phred, tremendous in size and with some great lines and curves there too! I'm liking those blue gunport covers and the stern detailing and lanterns in particular, and great job with the details you've gotten into the rigging! A worthy Oleander flagship!
  15. That's a beautiful coat of arms... and a great idea and neat looking ball room so far! Figs of mine who would be happy to show up if you can build them - in the spoiler: Of course I don't expect you to be able to fit all of those guys in there, but I figured I'd throw them out there in case you had the parts for one or two! If you want you could let me know if you settle on one or another, and I may be able to do a build or two of story for them getting there... I shan't promise anything, though, as my building schedule's really rather packed already!
  16. Really nice ship, Capt Wolf, and very clearly from your shipyards! I'll echo SJ on the colors - and on the question Is that a stripe of dark red there? I can't quite make it out - it looks great either way, though! And your sails look fabulous as always, too!
  17. That roof!!! Very cool - great concept and capital execution! The colors are really nicely chosen and your depiction of the cannon-molding process is excellent Love all those cranes and the cannon hanging out front! And that is some phenomenal photography too - I was debating with myself whether it was an LDD rendering or not, and only was swayed over by the tiniest particle of dust in one of the pics Captain Dee's precarious pose balanced on those flagstones almost had me convinced that there wasn't any real gravity effect here though Very nicely done all around!
  18. Nice work with this! - the classic colors work really well, and I'm liking the interiors and modularity of it too! The palm tree and masonry bricks serve to spice things up a bit as well
  19. Thanks blackdeath! I enjoy packing these smaller builds with as many details as I can - feel free to use away! Thanks Bart! Glad you liked the story too!
  20. "An excellent idea!" exclaimed the Lieutenant quickly, jumping up. "We ought to send a huge joint Corrington and Eslandolan force to Fuerte Unido, I maintain, to catch all those scoundrels as they come out!" and he sat down abruptly. Agent Guelds rolled his eyes at him - he clearly hadn't been paying any attention to what the Gov. was saying. "That affair's taken care of already," he whispered to his neighbor - "though it was rather... phh, lamely and tamely taken care of, if you ask me" ("or me," added the Lieutenant) - and then, raising his voice to an audible tone, added, "I'll second the motion, then, Gov.!" "Thirded!" exclaimed the Lieutenant, before Willoughby smacked him over the head with his slate. Three votes in favor of the measure from the ETWC bench (though they all wish it could have been something more... drastic...)
  21. Thanks Elostirion, glad you like it! Sleeping Uncle's pose was definitely inspired by @Faladrin's awesome pose for his recent pirate cabin scene!
  22. Typical Captain Dee goodness here - very recognizably in your style, and all the gold and the well-ordered vegetation look great as usual too! Nice job with all the carts and the Express, and I must confess that I'm loving that medium dark flesh!
  23. Oh-ho - developments! Great to see something moving over in Charlatan Bay again, and can't wait to see where things keep going from here! As to the build: the bars seem quite appropriate for a town like CB and add some nice flair to the build, and I like the use of the printed tiles on the table there!
  24. Very nice work, Bregir, as others have said, the sails and rigging look great, and, although I do agree with the Captain that it sits a little high out of the water, the rest is quite well built too Also, the bit of a base for a ship like this is often overlooked, but it really does add a lot!
