  1. Wow. I'm really fascinated by this tree. Very creative way to use the arms of the Rancor and several other animal-parts to archive such a original organic effect.
  2. I saw on flickr how this thing grows. At the beginning i was not sure how this would turn out, because of the strange structure. But it turned out very well. With the round base and the mushroom-like roof it has something very exotic and interesting. I would take away the dark red and dark orange leaves on the ground, but that's just my opinion. Brick on!
  3. This castle is awesome. Would be a very long list to describe everything i like ;) Techniques, colors, textures and details are very well build. Truly a masterpiece. Keep bricking!
  4. I like how you achieved this decayed look. Furthermore the details with the heads are cool and the colors work in general pretty good :) Brick on!
  5. Marco, that's really cool creation. I'm looking forward how this continues :) Thank you Vladivus. No, there isn't a thread yet, but i will make one, if i have build some more LvL1 MOCs and wrote the story.
  6. Hello to the new guys :) And very cool creation you show here, Infernum and soccerkid! You motivated me to take a closer look at the Avalonian Civil War - Challenge and i finnaly decided to join the fun. I hope i get it to conribute minimum one build :) Also i have build one more Freebuild for the AoM: Keep bricking :)
  7. If there is still the oppurunity to enter the fun, i would like to go on DeGothias side. Thank you for your effort. And btw. i'm from Mitgardia.
  8. Very cool, Matthew, what you show here. You have used some really cool techniques. The way you used the 1x2 Tiles for the water is inspiring and i also like the border made of wedges. The trees made of cheeseslopes is not new, but i works here once again pretty well. Looking forward to more Huckleberry Finn MOCs ;) Brick on! Jonas
  9. Very cool creation BoB! I really like the different techniques and textures you used. Also the colors work pretty nice together. :) Hope to see all of the Dunholm buildings someday together in "live". Keep bricking!
  10. Mitgardia for the win! Hersir of Archers : Wat Tambor Hersir of the Infantry: Gunman Hersir of the Cavalry: Garmadon
  11. Hello there Is a long time ago i was "active" here. After presenting you my character Jaro i didn't had the time and the motivation to build castle. But now that changed. Without further planning i started building some days ago and the result is my very first creation for GoH and also entry for the AoM-challenge. I hope it's okay, if i make the thread, when i have build some more entrys for the challenge. But if every entry needs his own thread i will of course make one. Like you probably see, the build is the little homestead of my character Jaro, just the son of an other farmer in Mitgardia. I hope you like my take on the Mitagardian Landscape (Yes, i will build something with more snow in the future, but while the weather here in germany is so sunny i had to build a bit more springlike). I will try my best to keep bricking in this theme and integrate more in this community. :)
  12. Hello there I had some dark weeks without that much building, but the Home Sweet Home-Contest gave me motivation to build again. There are several cool Lego-Space themes, but i took the chance to build once again in one of my favorite Sci-Fi-worlds: Steampunk! "Every style-conscious Gentleman needs his home. Some have mansions at the sea. But why living at the sea when you can live in the sea?" -Sir Octavius- This is the home of the steamy gentleman Sir Octavius and the scene stands on a round base. The base is not nearly 48 studs in diameter, but i wanted to have space to play with the tentacles overlapping the border of this circle. All photos on MOCpages. Stay creative and steamy! *toof* *toof* Jonas
  13. Hello Once again an entry for the MELOs on MOCpages. My category was to interpret the following quote: “Let this be the hour when we draw swords together. Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn!" I didn't want to build the hundredth Helm's Deep so i build the battle of Erebor from the Hobbit. There isn't an interpretation of Peter Jackson so far. That allowed me to build my own one. Highlight of building was definitely the dwarf monument. Explore more details on MOCpages! I hope you like it! Jonas
  14. Hey guys, thank you very much everyone for the kind words! I'm glad you like it :) Yes, the tree is a bit blocky. But it was important for me to build a sturdy tree, that could hold the treehouse. I had the opportunity to try it a bit naturally with slopes, but i decided for this artistic blocky and legolike (!) design. In addition most of the people imply darkbley slopes with rock, so i had to difference my tree from the mainstream-rock. Jonas
  15. Hello The MELO goes in the second Round. And here is my entry to the given quote: "Your quest runs on the edge of a knife, stray but a little, and it will fail." I took the opportunity to try my hands on a iconic Lothlorien treehouse with the typical elvish architecture. More pictures of the scene on MOCpages Jonas.
  16. Hello guys Thank you everyone for the kind words and the ton of feedback. I thought of using on, but these normal bows are smaller and in my opinion a bit to small for Bard the Bowman. At the upper end of each 1x4 Tile is a black 1x1 Plate with vertical Clip. Yes, he is not the biggest dragon. But first i had not the bricks to build him as huge as in the movie, second a bigger Smaug wouldn't have sit down on that tower. And especially this pose was important for me. Furthermore it's very hard to build a huge creation and keep the level of details the same. Jonas
  17. Hello My recent build is once again from Middleearth and shows Smaug's attack at Lake Town. The whole build basically finished before i got the chance to watch the second Hobbit movie the first time, so the houses of Lake Town and Smaug are result of the description in the book and my own imagination. Next to fitting proportions and the general organic look it was important for me to realize the iconic gold belly of Smaug. More pictures on MOCpages. I hope you like it! Jonas
  18. Hello everyone Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm glad you like it. Yes, it stays together. One clip always connect two tiles. (Just take one of these clips in real life and two tiles and you will figure out how it works. ) Yes, the bird was in two different Belville Sets. I don't use third party items. For the green Bamboo in the background i used this pieces. The roof is made of tan hoses. The green string is of course by Lego too. Jonas
  19. [pid][/pid] 243B Hello Pirate Forum Building organic water with the bricks is always a challenge. I tried to solve this challenge with a new technique: Based on 1x1 Tiles with Clip + 1x2 trans Tiles. But the water alone was a bit boring so i added some plants, a bamboo hut and details. ;) More pictures you can find like always on flickr and MOCpages. I hope you enjoy it! 20. Hello One more ornament for our Star Wars Geeks. Enjoy it ;) Jonas
  21. Hello Radagast the brown? That guy with the bird poop in his face? -Exactly! ;) About one year ago Peter Jackson brought us the first Hobbit movie and i love it like the three Lord of the Ring movies. I'm especially a fan of the nice landscapes and great settings. Not at least they are phenomenal inspiration for MOCs i build and MOCs i will build. One of my favorite characters of the movie is of course Radagast. His outfit, doing and in particular his house are so strange and unique but that makes him so cool. My realization of this hut was build for the Bricking Bavaria 2013 in Munich and a i really liked the challenges this build gave me. And especially to solve them and find a solution. Like in the movie Rhosgobel is surrounded by trees, plants, a stream and several animals. The pictures couldn't catch every detail, but i hope you get a good view. ] For more and bigger pictures follow the links to flickr and MOCpages. Hope you enjoyed this little trip to middle Earth. Jonas
  22. Hello to the newbies! Yes, the Set looks nice. And apart from the low price they have to pay, they have exclusive ploybags. :(
  23. Thank you everyone for you very kind words! I'm glad you like it :)
  24. That's what i call a good castle! I saw your teaser bur didn't expect something that good. The dark rockwork, the brighter walls and the wooden structures are very well build and chime together perfect! The landscape with snow, ice and only a few plants fits very well to Mitgardia. How you integrated the path and some other details is excellent! Hope to see more of such a cool stuff from you!
  25. How could i miss this? If there is still the possibility to join, count me in. Would be great to keep the option of building something for this open.
