  1. Hello, Almost 30 years ago the first Predator movie came in the cinemas. Since then he appeared in three own films and even in two crossovers. A character contest on Imperium der Steine was the perfect chance to try my hands on this guy: Tell me what you think! Best Jonas
  2. Thanks a lot for your kind words, I'm glad you like it. To be serious, I have no clue of ships. I just looked up some pictures. So the sailor is no rebuild of an existing ship, but more a ship of my imagination. Due to that, there are several points you found that doesn't fit perfect. I used 2x4 curved slopes. Thanks for you comment. You are right, I used dark bluish grey to fill the wave. In the upper part I also used white bricks to make the wave a bit brighter. I didn't took the ship apart, so you have to wait for your WIP pictures, but I will show them here for sure! Unfortunately I didn't found a better flag in my collection.
  3. Ahoi! Inspired by some old paintings, I have built a sailing ship that is attacked by a sea creature. Here are more shots of the ship: I hope you like it! Best Jonas
  4. Hello folks, I present you my latest build, a flying steampunk kiosk. It's a collaboration because I got visited by the talented Brick Vader on the last weekend. Unfortunately he is not that much in lego anymore, but my collection and some brainstorming about steampunk inspired us to build something together. We had limited time, but I'm happy how it turned out. I hope you like it as well. Best Jonas and Jonas
  5. Wow. Your commendation overflows me. I'm glad you like it that much. :) Thanks a lot! Yes, it's minifig scale. (Only the ladder is probably a bit too big.) Thanks for the time you spent in looking at the pictures to catch all the details. That makes the work of building and shooting worth it!
  6. Hello, With so many great winter creations in the last weeks, it's feels a bit frosty on EuroBricks. So I will try to bring you a bit spring feeling with my newest creation: My Tree House Tree houses always had something magical for me. The symbiosis of the home and the nature has something very idyllic and charming. I wanted to reflect this peaceful atmosphere and the feeling of security in tree houses in my build. Also I had the chance to try my hands on a bigger tree and the challenge to build it sturdy enough so it holds the home. I'm glad Oscar posted his amazing roof technique before I build my tree house. It's so great, I had to copy that. Thanks for your inspiration, Oscar! To give the tree a sturdy base I build its roots and a bit of the surrounding landscape. I hope you like it! Jonas
  7. Hello, It's that time of the year again when the snowflakes fall and everyone is looking forward to christmas. Maybe somewhere else, but in Germany we had 16,5°C / 61,7°F today. Feels like summer. To compensate for the Christmas stress and the inappropriate weather I built this "dream winter scene". If you like it, you can find more pictures here. Jonas
  8. Big Hero 6 is probably the most underrated SuperHero-Movie. I really liked it, so I wanted to build something inspired by all the detailed scenes. With a SuperHero-Hideout Contest on Imperium der Steine I got the perfect opportunity to build Hiro Hamada's workshop. This is the screenshot my version is based on: More pictures from different angles can be found here or click on the picture: Best Jonas *fist bump*
  9. Hey guys, thanks a lot for all the comments and the positive feedback. I'm glad you like it. Haha, that's kind of embarrassing :D I'm not sure why I wrote that, because GoT is definitely HBO. Thanks for the hint. Best Jonas
  10. Hello, the HBO series Game of Thrones is an excellent source for inspiration and there are a lot of interesting landscapes and scenes that deserve a Lego version. My first choice felt on Craster's Keep. The awesome tree technique is stolen by Xenomurphy. Furthermore I got a lot of inspiration for the figures from Wats great GoT-minifigures. Jonas
  11. So true. Marco you did an awesome job! The size of this thing is sheer immense but furthermore the diorama is filled with so much details, minifigures and stories. Was really worth to get displayed in Skaerbaek, Uetrecht and Coppenhagen. While i saw it twice in real, i couldn't see all the details and interesting techniques you used. Stunning. The raised landscape, and the dark green ground color are definitely what sets these far above all the Dioramas build on green 32BP. Only nitpick is the water ;) Frank did an amazing work too. It really flows together and you can't see the end and beginning of each module. After his great tablescrap-border from Markus bricks, it was just a matter of time until he came with his own build :D Would have been great to see Franks part in Skaerbaek too. But so i was lucky enough to fill that spot. Thanks again :) I fear that you will disassembly this masterpiece again, wouldn't you? But i'm sure none the less we will see something spectacular from you in some months again! (BTW are you coming to Skaerbaek this year again?)
  12. Category A: #3 #5 Category B: #2 #4 Category C: #1 #5
  13. There is nothing against a cool runabout to discover the universe :)
  14. Hey SteamWars-friends This is my interpretation of how the iconic Starfighter of Obi Wan might have looked in the Victorian Ages. Entry for the SteamWars-Madness on FBTB in the semifinals against Markus. And in addition i build a fitting HyperSteam-Ring for faster travelling through the SteamWars-Univsers: More photos can be be found here. All my SteamWars build will also be displayed in Skaerbaek. Probably the only chance to see them in "real". Good luck to Markus and thanks for stopping by. Best regards Jonas
  15. I'm in with my Veggie Turtle: Good luck to all contestants and thank you for making this contest, EB!
  16. Hello Seriously, i wasn't sure where to post this. On the one side it's a Star Wars spaceship, on the other side it's build steampunky. (I hope it's ok to post it here. If not a Mod can change that hopefully :D ) The guys of FBTB making their MOC Madness 2014 and the theme it's: SteamWars My entry is the interpretation of the iconic Slave 1 in the victorian style. I hope you like it. More pictures can be found here. May the steam be with you Jonas
  17. Hello guys Thank you very much for all the comments and the really kind words. I'm glad you like it :) Like rolli wrote, these are dark green 1x4 panels. Thank you very much for the criticism, Gabe. You are right, the rock-work could be better. But this MOC started with the idea to use only old grey to represent the rock. My supply of slopes and bricks in this color is poor, so i hadn't that much space to use part expensive techniques. it was interesting to use this color, but i think i will change to bley for future creations again.
  18. soccerkid, i'm looking forward to the finished product! And your entry, Garmadon, is very funny.I really like it. :) I have build somthing for the second challenge too: Thread on EB.
  19. Hello guys Thank you very much for the positive feedback :) The body of the swan is this technic figure helmet. Maybe i will post a picture of the swan later/next week.
  20. I'm in! Ch II - Cat B - The Solitary Medic (deGothia)
  21. Entry for Book II Challenge II Category B for deGothias side. The plague devastates Avalonia. Even the avalonian island Moria wasn't spared by the wave of illness. So Sir Moriartus called Mitgarda for medics, because of the good relations between him and some of the lords there. Aaron lost his wife and children in the last cruel war in Mitgardia and decided to study the old scriptures of medic. He wants to save other people from the dolor he got and save as much lives as possible. But the habitation of other people always reminds him of his dead family, so he lives solitary from the village on a small rock in the sea. In his small home he has everything he needs. Every day he paddle to the coast to heal people from the plague. The fight seems absurd, but Aaron tries his best to save the inhabitants of Moria. The free time Aaron has in his home, he spends on reading and rearing of swans. Explore all the details on MOCpages! I hope you like it and feel free to post your thoughts about this creation. :) Jonas
  22. I'm still waiting to be part of one group. Would be great if you can fix that :)
  23. That is what i call a real battle! You have a lot of nice figures and used them well to get a good "in-fight" effect. But not just is nice, the landscape too. Good use of darktan, darkbley and olive. I like how the tan plates are sloped. For Mitgardia and keep bricking!
