  1. Wow, I love this solution! I was really scratching my head first how is it possible...
  2. @MangaNOID Sure, there are cases, which are really coming from nothing. It is really unfortunate that You had such accident, I feel your pain, I had my experiences too... Nonetheless, this will not stop us, right? Biking is the best activity you can do dressed.
  3. @MangaNOID Get well soon, and don't forget the fun of bicycle riding! As concept it is interesting, but I have some doubts, as most of the face is still open and can be contacted with objects - even with flat pavement. Hövding is more a proof of concept, it is around for years now, but they did not make market break through. I believe if there would be potential for full face road helmets, than all the big names would be in the game for years. Actually the risk and the numbers of facial injuries in such accidents are so marginal, that it seemingly doesn't worth to invest in this directions. Mountain biking is a different topic due to rocks, branches, jumps and thus hard impacts. Also, learning "how to crash" can help a lot. I know it does not sound easy, especially to do it on purpose (as active mtb rider for more than 25 years, I know, I have ). Here is a nice video, maybe helpful: Still, I believe we all ride bikes for sensing freedom in some way (to explore, to stretch our boundaries, to find our zen, etc...), and fear shall never overrule this - otherwise there is no more fun and relaxation left in riding. I leave this as inspiration here:
  4. Indeed, it would fit really well on sport cars!
  5. I also don't expect planetary hubs - though would be nice to have. Those wheels are not small at all (I think 56x34 mm with tires from 42000), just like the car either. Look how it compares to 42094 and 42070 (a bit in the background), despite the perspective, it is pretty voluminous:
  6. OK, my bad, I did not watch the video from the beginning - I skipped the text as usual for any online blabla. Please don't stone me for that, I remember the relevant South Park episode.
  7. Of course, one could easily blame LEGO, that "I just reproduced, what LEGO did in the video - but the toy is broken now and can not be repaired." Actually, I would be happy to see such case happening. TLG's marketing department proved many times already, that... well, they are not really up to the task (at least for Technic).
  8. I do believe this topic is overreacted, the parts were used out of their intended context (indoor usage only, with original motor and battery setup) - of course some damage can be expected. There is no problem to stretch the limits (actually it is the best), but for sure there is a price. We just must acknowledge this.
  9. @Lipko Could You see which wheel hub is used in the model?
  10. Another video, found on YT (from Gamescom by Olli)
  11. Engineering on highest level, what else needed to say... Bravo!
  12. Thanks for the hint, I will definitely contact him (luckily german is no problem here)! I have a video about the issue.
  13. I got mine broken... charging failure. Unfortunately also no positive response from seller, so no replacement, no refund.
  14. Charbel's McLaren 720s I think, no further justification needed.
  15. When You think there is nothing new... this is definitely next level generation of supercar! I am not a petrolhead myself, but it is trully amazing, I can smell the 2 years effort on each picture (or was it the smoke?...). I am happy that it is not motorized, also I don't see the roof and the rear as unreasonably OFF in design, the only thing which I find a bit disturbing, the wheel arches made of flex cables - the wheels can touch them. Maybe 1/2 stud higher they would sit more properly, or by using 3rd party white silicon tubes (like pneumatic tubes) cut in proper length. I love the attention on details, both on the models, and the presentation - the own built hall really adds to the atmosphere. I just can not pick one favorite detail, there is a lot to love here.
  16. His body might left, but his spirit and work will remain here and will be remarkable part of LEGO history. Thank You Ingmar for all the beautiful MOCs!
  17. Actually, yes, it can be an immediate effect (kids climb on house roof to drop toys to reproduce the video), but implementation for sure. We are adults, and we can already distinguish things a bit (not all of us), but kids (not all of them luckily) are more vulnerable due to lack of knowledge, social inputs, etc. To get the attention they need to raise confidence and personality, the message is here: there is nothing wrong to destroy things, making facebook live while driving, hurt somebody, and whats next to trigger the audience? This is the negative effect which can escalate when spreading such messages, and sad to see that TLG stepped on this questionable road of being hero - even if this might be a single step. I think we can agree, that the teaser / commercial did generate feelings for each of us, for some it is acceptable, for many it is controversial or even counterproductive. To me: luckily there is still a lot of inspirational channels and products with real value out there, I will keep my focus on those.
  18. I agree as well. Might be viral marketing video, but spreading brainless destruction videos as "cool" and thus setting standards for kids... I don't know, I feel it is way beyond the border of social responsibility - especially nowadays, when it is essential need to educate the next generation to see the world in a more complex and more sensitive way as we might do. I would be very ashamed in place of the marketing head of TLG. Whoever created and approved this teaser, are short sighted people. Sad.
  19. Is this still the Defender topic or the future wish list topic? Can we stay ON please - it is so disappointing to being happy about new post here, open... than facing with irrelevant speculation. BTW, if all the described functions will work nicely in 42110, than it clearly fulfills the ultimate category in my opinion, it is not the question of the size / scale. Some news about the real thing:
  20. Strange, because I saw it in the morning - @Jim might be a forum motor issue or is it the picture source? @Metagross555 It looks nice, I would be interested in video comparison with the original solution, how much improvement does it make. Any chance for it?
  21. Thank You for the LDD models, they are great for further analisys!
  22. One stud does make difference! I really dig this machine!
  23. Very advanced model, congratulations for it! I really would love to see Building Instructions, or at least detail photos about the axles, and the chassis, please?
  24. I hate that You are so inspired! Awesome excavator, the rear is indeed much much better, only thing, that I don't like how the small panel sticks out. Have You tried with orange 5L liftarm only, or with brick and tile built stripes (just like in the cab)? I really love the arm solution, this is probably the design, I must "steal" for my wheeled excavator WIP project. I am sure You don't mind.
