  1. That's not that he ment. That's how you adjust the caster. But how do you adjust the toe in/out once you adjusted the caster? Because the toe changes when you adjust the caster and then the wheel alignment is all off and you get increased bump steer aswell. So you need to either move the steering rack up or adjust the attachment points of the steering arms on the wheel hubs, to reflect that.
  2. The problem is that you also need to adjust the steering. In some instances this will give you nasty bump steer :)
  3. You think this engine would fit?
  4. That's why you need proper suspension geometry. Caster for example and kingpin inclination. Both very important if you want to drive straight.
  5. If only they were 6 spokes and would fit onto the wheel hubs.
  6. For all i care they can make the same rim design, just with a bigger diameter and smaller profile tire. Overall tire diameter and width not exceeding the unimog ones, and the rim radius increased by half of the unimog tire sidewall height.
  7. The 8448 wheels are a terrible design. They looked dated even when they came out. The only good thing is that they're the first (and sadly only) rim so far, that has enough room inside for some good suspension designs.
  8. You're much better off if you use the f1 rear hubs instead of that. Your pivot point is much too far away from the wheel.
  9. The heavier the vehicle, the closer to the wheel center you want your pivots to be. In this case i suggest a live axle with leaf springs.
  10. That's normal. The plastic has "softener" in it, which evaporates over time.
  11. Some parts need to be done with studded parts. But i will try to use the new panels in some areas as structural parts. The rear and front suspensions need to be rebuilt. I'll see what i can do about the 2l bars.
  12. The chassis will get totally rebuilt. It needs to be lighter and stronger.
  13. Yeah, we'll continue in october. :P
  14. Can't wait to see sthis compelted. I like the fact that the battery box is where the real life fuel tank would be :)
  15. Everything on the engines in the above videos is absolutely necessary for them to function.
  16. My car has lego inside, at all times :)
  17. I've repaired various broken plastic bits on my car by supergluing lego bricks as reinforcements to them or replacing them with lego bricks altogether. :)
  18. Your engine would be faster if it would not bend so much. Much power is lost that way.
