Expand the Winter Village Contest V – Winners!
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Town
I'm perfectly fine with the results. There were so many excellent contributions - and we have worthy winners: Congratulations! -
I'd say: Nice series! I would like to mention the Wealthy Plutocrat besides the shepherd!

Not a poor man that has left, but seemingly someone who left peacefully. Excellent interior design!

Fantastic! Envy, ENVY!!! So beautiful, so well-designed... I must build this for myself (one does not do that, right?) Congratulations to a fantastic MOC!

Great custom Smaug. Will be huge if you try to complete it. As for the teeth: You have chosen tan, I might have chosen white - however, as Smaug seems to be a smoker, tan teeth should be ok

Thanks for the kind feedback - let me answer a few comments: Yes, I shall be able to add one or two creations (there were not too many castle boats, though). Yes, me likes boats! Having posted a lot of stuff in the pirate forum .... Yepp, you got the idea. Actually, with this larger original model it was easier. Some of the other originals are really very very small. So, once I create a large new version, it immediately is a bit off, though I try to keep the overall look & feel. And yes, I am happy when I'm building.

Cardinal's Guards - I've actually done something similar to have some counterparts for the musketeers (but I didn't post them ) -
Great build - if that is the start for a new member, we can expect quite a lot from your side! Excellent! Brick on!

Great landscape - actually usable for all different kinds of topics. Brick on! -
Yepp. You are right. Yet I won't go for decals for legs. I 'll probably wait for sonething new from TLG....

Good luck with the tame boar. In any case the landscaping is excellent.

Technic pieces in castle building
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Lauris's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Using technic bricks really looks good. What scares me though is the sheer number of bricks I would need, that would not be reusable in a different context. -

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion

Right, the face should be new. I'd also go for a shako that is different from the current redcoat shako, but ok... -
Pate-keetongu's GOH CMF series
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Pate-keetongu's topic in Guilds of Historica
Wow, this is an example of creativity! So many great characters (where is the dwarf hair from?) - difficult to pick some for extra praise. As a Mitgardian, I'd go for "Airen of Annugard". And an extra prize must go to Grimholt the Steadfast for fighting the evil taxmen! -
A mighty creation - I like the rum room and the captain's cabin (to name two)!
