  1. Very nice video indeed! The only way that you can that it is LEGO and not real cars is that there are no people inside... And did the windmill come together in the end?
  2. This one is going on my 'to-build' list! I looked into the parts list and this model contains no less than 58 (!) Technic Panels! As far as I know the largest number of panels on a Supercar For comparison: Crowkillers Vampire uses 'only' 28...
  3. Very nice machine but since it dumps the balls after sorting them in the same bin again it is of no use!
  4. I stumbled upon this thread just today but am really impressed with the smoothness of the operation! Is there any chance that us humans also get to build this magnific mechanism by looking at more pictures or even a digital model of some sort? I would really love to build this one so any help is appreciated!
  5. This is so tempting... I do live in The Netherlands and I do have the funds at hand... It would bring my parts collection from 75.000 to well over 100.000 parts in one big leap... And all the very rare parts (#3 connectors!) are included as well! Can someone make up a reason why I should not do it?
  6. Even more handy: http://rebrickable.com/compare/9398-1-b1/9398-1
  7. David, thanks a lot for all the work! The building instructions look very nice. I am certainly giving this a try. Since I own all the parts for the ball factory I only miss a few parts for this one. Are you planning on reverse engineering more of Akiyuki's work?
  8. Hi Alex, Thanks again for the hard work! I have one question though: what is the easiest way to find out how to build this version with the regular LEGO actuators? Probably I can find it out myself but I guess you know it rightaway ;-) greetings, Theo
  9. There were 6 available in The Netherlands this afternoon for a reasonable price (1.04 euro). This evening they were all sold :( I suspect some other Dutch reader of this topic bought them... Next time I have to be faster!
  10. Great work! I am looking foward to build id! It's a pity that the chrome cups are so expensive
  11. http://thelegocarblog.com/2015/06/14/the-gigahorse/
  12. Another great model Martijn, nice work! Yesterday I collected all the parts, a lot of red and gray! Unfortunately I had to dismantle your Rolls Royce for the PF parts. Luckily I have enough Red #3 connectors since I own 8448 and 2x 8070. I needed some small BL orders to collect the 41 (!) white #2 connectors. It is a matter of time for these to become very expensive! ;-) Hopefully next weekend I can start the build. I scanned quickly through the instructions (don't want to spoil anything) and they look very nice! Thanks for this great MOC, which model is up next? ;-)
  13. Looks great! Looking forward to build this beauty!
  14. Although this implementation is rather clumsy and unattractive there might be a business case for building very large MOC's. The investment for parts for these MOC's exceeds $1000 most of the times. If you could rent the parts for a few weeks for let's say $100 that could be interesting... If on top of this you should pay the Designer the fee for the instructions then everybody would be happy I guess? Big challenge of course is to keep the sets complete and in good condition.
  15. Just wait for the 'Rainbow'-version of your Tractor Truck!
  16. Hi guys (and girls), Did you know that there is a German website where you can rent LEGO Technic? They even have some famous MOCs in theire catalog! http://www.spielsteinservice.com/29-legosondermodelle What do you think of this idea? I personally find it quite expensive and don't like the 'rainbow models'...
  17. No, they were still private ;( I just changed them to public!
  18. Last weekend I finished my version of this great MOC. I kept it 99% original, only used a white interior instead of tan. It was a really nice build with some nice surprises. I especially liked the contruction of the hood! Martijn, looking forward to your next project! 19. @Blakbird: could you do a render in yellow and red (replacing DBG)? I am considering building it in one of those colors since I have the most parts in those colors. But if it looks too ugly I might stick to DBG and start shopping ;)
  20. Thanks for this interesting article and the partslist! The costs are indeed reasonable since I have all the Technic parts already. To build the supporting structures in DBG will set you $200 back I guess. A rainbow version is also possible of course but would be lot less nice to look at! The only problem with this thing would we where to display/store it... Small question: why did you start the tiled floor with a half tile since the size is an even number of studs? In my opinion it would have been even nicer if you would have started (and ended) with a full tile... EDIT: I think I got the answer already: otherwise the two baseplates would not be connected! Will put it on my to build list!
  21. Well done, instructions look very good! Now it is extra tempting to buy an SBrick.... Do you have an updated partslist available? I suppose it is not the same as the original U8043?
  22. I created a private MOC on www.rebrickable.com and imported the .lxf file. Then I was able to generate a HTML partlist: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28179105/Komatsu.html Enjoy!
  23. I am planning to build it in red. Replacing all the green and orange by red is no problem.
