This is awesome. Excellent use of the Nyrah Blaster pump. Plus, the lower leg design is the best ever.

That concept art is absolutely awesome. And the Cryptor armor piece is absolutely perfect from the looks of it. Pixal's improvements on Zane's design seem interesting, but the question the storyline creates is: "Why do the Ninja need the Technoblades when they have the elemental swords?" Anyway, from the looks of it, I'd say that Nya might not appear at all in set form this year. Although, on the other hand, the whole scenario of the plot seems remarkably fleshed out for a news tidbit. On the balance of it, I'm excited for Ninjago 2014. And of course, whatever sets are made to fill up the rest of the year will probably be seen as soon as the new episodes air.

Ugh, that hole in the Mechdragon looks horrible. A bi of work will be needed to make that look better, but I'm going to wait for review before deciding whether to get it. The Ninjacopter looks great, however, as does the Thunder Raider.

I'm not sure if this belongs in the Action Figures forum, but it's cool, anyway.

That head mold is awesome. I can't see many uses for it, but it's still great. I'm pretty sure I'm getting the Wolf Legend Beast (both mixel style joints and that weapon piece).

It needs some work with the arm proportions, but it's pretty good apart from that.

Heh, those prototypes were about 50/50. Core Hunter looked slightly better than his finalized version, actually. And Speeda Demon was an awesome-looking mess. Glad to see the lightning pieces were changed though.

. This thing isn't that impressive, but it's a great MOC for sure!

I absolutely love the "Ragnarok" design. I'd suggest renaming the Wolfhound to, well, Fenrir (the name of the Viking wolf god).

This one works pretty well, actually. A few too many colors, but a solid build. -

I've never seen the anime, this is an excellent MOC. -
Pretty nice. I have to agree with Chro though.

Nice .

This is damn awesome.

Okay, that's weird, and quite definitely the best use of a non-LEGO part I've seen.

That looks like a combination of a gun, a sickle and a spaceship. Which is awesome. I mean, look at that thing, so many details and it has the clean, finished look which is one of the two ways to give a MOC proper aesthetics.

Interesting mesh of colors, but they seems a little too spread out.- 7 replies

Funny that we get to see the less polished prelims only after we've seen the finalized pictures. The Ninja-Copter still seems great, but how in the Cthulhu is the sawblade under the Hover Hunter connected?

The chest armor for the hero minifigs seems exactly like the armor Chima's gorilla's use. Anyway, while I really hope the atrocity that is Evo's basic mech gets fixed, the larger one is...not too bad, actually. The flick fires are relatively unobtrusive (as proved by the fact that no one has complained about them so far), the paw fits with the mech's look and the legs are a pretty good build. The cockpit definitely needs improvement, but that's probably not going to happen. Flyer Beast is another big meh. Why can't LEGO ever come up with a wing piece that actually looks like a wing? Some sort of fabric or rubber sheet with connection points would be perfect for that. Furno's Jet Machine is kind of silly, but the lights on top seem to be a new piece, so that's a plus. Jaw Beast is the best small villain HF has made (and is ironically canonically one of the largest) with purple spikes, tr. light blue mini-limbs and it pulls off the skinny look perfectly (doesn't it remind you of Cloverfield?). Rocka's Stealth Machine seems weird, what with the unarmored sides and all. I really wish they hadn't given them those cages. They probably ate up half the budget. Splitter Beast is glorious, in full, bulky glory. The two heads make it look absolutely awesome, it seems to have a second set of limbs (see the black spots on it's lower chest?) and best of all, more Dark Azure! Stormer's Freeze Machine would be a failure, if it weren't for the fact that it looks like Portal 2's Peabody robot. Anyway, the mini-spider's seem weird, but kind of nice. I like the new Kaiju theme, and I hope the theme continues into the summer of 2014. Boy, if there was a mega-kaiju in the same price slot that Jet Rocka occupies this year...

I might decide to pick up the Scorpion and Spider vehicles. The Lion or Wolf legend beasts seem like a good way to get the mixel ball joints plus some of the chima weapon pieces which I've missed.
-
Well, I like the wings, but while the head is indeed accurate to real bats, I still don't like it.
-
The steering wheel/exhausts on the side are pretty effective for greebling. The engine at the back seems quite detailed too.

[Ma.Ktoberfest ] SNDF Neuspotter Prototype and Group shot
DraikNova replied to ACPin's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Somehow this thing looks more complex than it is. And that's awesome. -
Nope, it's almost definitely not going to happen. We would at least have gotten a list of set names by now.

Nice, posable looking mech .
