This is very messy. It might look better if you tried to "group" specific areas with colors, for example making the right arm almost exclusively red.

I'm on the HF side of this debate. It's pretty easy to make a well-armored HF figure; you just need to spend some time looking for parts that mesh together well. If you find them, you can armor MOCs far better, in a more organic way. And that's exactly this MOC's problem; it needs to look more like an organic creature to fit with the Brain Slug's aesthetic.

Okay, so it seems HF's building up to a pretty big reveal.

While the idea of live-action isn't as deterring to me (after all, we've seen what "live-action LEGO movie" apparently means in the trailer for the LEGO Movie), I'm wondering how it will coincide with the show. Personally, I would think it would be a condensed version of the tv show, but it says "the film will feature a new take that diverges from the TV series".

Ninjago+fairy tales=win. Awesome little MOC .
-
Okay, that is now officially the world's strangest-looking minifig.

Alternate universes? Hell yeah.

I like the back armor, but the lower arms and the legs seem a little simple.

Would it be allowed to make a MOC of the infected hero in the banner for the HoM category?
-
The pre-infection form isn't too impressive, but the post-infection form definitely is. And here I thought I would have a chance at getting second place in the contest .

Wow. I'm guessing about 30% of the parts in this MOC are greebles. The engine detail is especially nice.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)

I'd say Gorzan, but only barely. If you count the "part value", then Cragger wins hand over extremely large fist . -
I like it, more so than the other entries, but while the acid effect is pretty nice and the custom arms are ingenious, I have to agree with Dorek that this doesn't really look like a HF creation.

Amazing.

What silver? That's just glare in the last picture.

I decided to keep the teal once I realized what I had built looked kind of like a dragonfly (as they are a kind of metallic green-blue). That's also the reason I decided to pose the tail as a normal tail rather than a stinger. And I know the colorscheme of the after MOC isn't too impressive, but I did not have enough green to make the entire MOC such, but I wanted to keep some color details from the before version. I'll be uploading a few more pictures to MOCpages or brickshelf soon, though.

As Scarox is supposed to be a sort of mutated spider, the tentacles seem a bit out of place, as does the tail. The torso build is pretty great though.

I was kind of afraid the two versions wouldn't look similar enough, what with it losing one pair of wings from one form to another. I'm glad that isn't too much of a problem. Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Heh, it´d be funny if there was an aside referencing the controversy of system vs Bionicle/HF.

Wow. The seat's connection to the actual turret is so uniquely made it's practically impossible to figure out.

You have too many parts, don't you ? This is amazingly detailed and intricate. Also, it looks like a bad acid trip, something a lot of builders have adopted as a surefire technique for awesome MOCcing .
-
Wow...those colors are amazing .

The set 3 robot seems nice, and so does the set 2 vehicle (which would be even better as a mini-scale space freighter), but the combiner model looks best.
