  1. Great build. I love the choice of tires for the build.
  2. Looking at it again, I guess you don't need to connect the axle at the rear of the differential. You seem to have enough space. Can the crankshaft come down two studs, or will it get in the way of the differential?
  3. Can you drop the transmission two studs down, and run an axle underneath the differential and connect to the differential on the rear?
  4. I'm still waiting for a car with four doors. But I think we will see your list completed, before I get a proper sedan.
  5. Great job, I love the long and low look of the Tractor. The arms look fine to my eyes.
  6. Thanks for your kind words @jorgeopesi, @I_Igor, and @MangaNOID. Glad you like it. Thanks @WvG_853, yeah, 8110 is one of my favorites, and was the first Big Set I financially reached for. Thanks @Mechbuilds, but TLG is not for me, I would get too many complaints about my builds (too expensive, not real enough, not enough features, not "Technic"). No thanks. @Jundis Yep, this is my favorite scale, and thanks for the great suggestion. I confess the boat tiles are not great, and the hood is a little flimsy. 13547 does not work, as they are too long and tall, but 24201 does mostly fit. It also makes the hood stronger, and raises the hood just a little bit. Inverted Curved Slopes on the top, Boat Tiles on the bottom. Different, but not too noticeable. I think I'll keep it. Thanks for the idea, not those little grills will stop falling off.
  7. Thanks @I_Igor and @jorgeopesi, I'll keep the smooth look for now. @agrof I am going to keep the left for the U430 which should be done as soon as final parts arrive. Yeah, I was a little impatient with the tires. I bought them early for a little too much. I have enough of the tires now, but the Parts Store is coming in handing for a lot of other parts these days (for instance, I got a lot of the Sian parts without having to get the Sian). OK, I think I am about finished with this Unimog. I'm going to sit with the U500 on the mantle for a couple of days and decide if I need any changes. I finalized the chassis today, to the Pnuematic valve does not come out, and the PTO switch is working. The front winch works well, and locks as needed. Both winch and lock are controlled by the air tanks on the left of the truck. I was also able to add a brace to the rear chassis. I'll post chassis pictures soon. Any other changes needed? Parts? Colors? Here is the MOG open.
  8. The support is so it can match the curved panels.
  9. Friends, these last months have been....different. For me, as I am sure for you, your LEGO building has been altered. As such, this project was put on hold for a while. I have brought it back to my workbench, and I am finding the MOC is nearly finished. I am currently working on the bed, and I have two designs. The one on the right is like all the other tipper beds I have made and works well. I needed something new, which you can see on the left. It's not quite as clean and adds some nice visual disruption and allows for some other details to be added. Which do you like better? Also, I have a version with the 80mm Fischertechnik tires that I had to try.
  10. Seems like this new part is on the dashboard.
  11. @vectormatic 8824 was one of my favorites as well. We are seeing more bespoke parts in Technic, so new skirts would have been welcome. The execution on this, looks too "boaty" to me.
  12. @msk6003 It seems like making new parts is happening more with or without them being used again in other models. The Ducati is another example, though it may be too early to see if those specialized parts are used again. 42096 has the fenders that have not been used again. I like that Lego is starting to add parts that the model needs, with or without using the part again in another model.
  13. @johnnym Thanks, it does look like they are two parts.
  14. @Lasse D Thanks for your comparison. The proportions are indeed very close, and looks better than 42096. I could never get over that front overhang on 42096. I'm excited about this set. -I love the new wheel arches, and see a lot of applications for them. Is there consensuses that the rear arches are made up of two parts? -Great to see the curved 3x13 panels in red. -I am happy to see that rotor blades are back in black.
  15. Great build again. I am particularly interested in the front of the car, the headlights and the grill are great use of parts. Like others, some parts of the bodywork are a little clunky (like the rear) but you did well with the parts available in DBG. The gentle upwards slope on the side is great, and helps the overall proportion of the car. I also like the gentle downward slope on the roof. I, like you, require a firm roof, so I applaud the work you put into this part of the build. Those 42110 rims look great with the racing tires.
  16. I’ve built a few large planes in my past, so I appreciate the care you are putting into all of the aspects of the plane, particularly the mechanics and control surfaces. It’s looking great so far, and the functions are looking great. I think with most of my planes I had to rebuild the wings at least twenty times, so I am curious about how many “drafts” you have had to do for parts of the plane?
  17. Thanks for the response. I confess, I have not worked with enough mockups of the system with the new CV parts to truly try it out what I perceive are issues to the suspension design. I am happy that you have not had any reliability issues with the front suspension. I'll keep building, and I'll let you know about the final design. Again, well done.
  18. Great job with this MOC. I am impressed with the proportions and the design so much, that I am inspired to make something similar. I even purchased a set of the LESU Tires last night for my attempt. As I studied this design a little more, I wondered how well the front suspension design has worked. I have had good success with the floating live axle independent suspension, but I have not tried it with the new Planetary hubs. The new male CV joints that connects to these hubs have quite a lot of friction compared to the previous male CV joints. The older CV joints allows for the axle to slide a little more, helping with the axles to stay connected to the internal differential 12 tooth gears. Do you find that the new male CV joints pull the axle out of the 12 tooth differential gears more often? Or does this design not have the problem of the gears disconnecting from the axle in the front axle?
  19. Thanks, it needed a feature other than only the tipping function.
  20. Great job again. I like the subtle changes you made to the great original. The front end looks great.
  21. It feels like the only thing I have made in 2020 has been this tractor and all sorts of trailers and implements for it. Hope you enjoy a little dump trailer.
  22. Sep. 1st is what TLG says currently.
  23. Well done. I loved @agrof's little roadster, and this change is a nice little addition. The packaging in the rear behind the seats is well done. Great job.
  24. Great job, this Kalmar turned out great. The cab turned out perfect, and the rear sides over the wheels look great.
  25. I'm sorry I misunderstood. The trailer is Fishertechnik, and the tractor is 68mm F and 81mm R.
