What a tower--as I said on Insta, so neat that it's built out of chucks of rock on the bottom! A beautiful landscape too, and I really love the tree growing all the way through the tower!

CDC2 Ancient Wonders: Lighthouse at Ashkharin
Kai NRG replied to jtooker's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is really good, very imposing lighthouse especially when you look at the size of your little figures! The colors work super well together, I love the contrast between the clean lighthouse and the highly textured rock. The chaotic scattered water works great at this scale too. A great addition to Historica's wonders! -
[ESL - Faction Flavours] Gray's Universal Store
Kai NRG replied to Garmadon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That was really funny. I love the way Jackie's posing changes as a sort of side-plot. Of course, a very creative use of the sack, it mostly works great (though sometimes the baby looks pretty uncomfortable ), also two great store walls, the way you can see a little of the front of the store gives it a move-set like vibe. Love the way the scroll pieces look under the shelves!- 7 replies

[COR- Faction Flavors] Antonio's office
Kai NRG replied to Justsomebrix's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great vignette, I really like the details like the sword on top of the shelf, the tall candlestick, and the elaborate chair (as much as I can see of it!). Also great use of the bag over the head of the captive. Neat idea to show the "underside" of Antonio's character this way.- 9 replies

[COR-FB] You Don't Need To Run Faster Than The Bear
Kai NRG replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
haha! Great posing, great technique for the backpack, and I also love the pizza tiles on the tree trunk. The contrast in the expression of the two soldiers is hilarious.- 9 replies

What a nice collection of those big round pots you have... Great little shop interior. But does the poor shopkeeper have to stand all day?

CDC2 Ancient Wonders: Gates of Treacleheim
Kai NRG replied to MKJoshA's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is so massive, very imposing. Several great patterns in the walls, especially those four under studs, it can't have been easy to make those fit in so well! I also really like your design for those jewel carts. The large statues are pretty good too! -
[SR - FB - Oct 21] The frigate Magnetic North
Kai NRG replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The bright blue here is super striking, love how you trimmed the sails with it too! The compass in front is also really unique, it's a really cool ship! Great work!- 16 replies

I love how you went with a cohesive warrior theme. Some very cool combos, I think your Cedrican knight is one of my favorites, great bright colors and simple design. Really cool assasin and fright knight too.

She's a beauty! I love how imposing the cannons look. Great hull design too.

[COR - ChIVA Mirco Prize] Sawmill, Brickford Landing
Kai NRG replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Getting those telescopes in again! Nice job on the bridge angle, I like the touch of realistic detail too with the tops of trees lying on the ground. -
[ESL - Ch IV - Micro Prize] Class 4 brig Lucky Strike
Kai NRG replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I agree, great water. The undersides of the wedges look good as sails too, might have been nice to see the undersides of the 1x3 wedges too? Nice little micro nonetheless! -

What a great series! I think the Mitgardian trio is my favorite, with several ingenious back stories. The sea captain in particular, great idea with the lobster! Also like the Keeper of the Queenscross Archives a lot too.

These are excellent, and not just because they're yellow. Both your Kaliphlinians are among my favorites, the mine owner is an especially good concept! The Cedricans and Varlyrians are also impressing me particularly. And then the combo between the dwarf armor and those pants with the same color bronze knees for the Mitgardian knight is perfect. So many great minifigure series coming out of this challenge, keep it up everyone!

[COR - Faction Flavours] Observation Platform, Stormhaven
Kai NRG replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This was a fun read! Great uses of the scope, the platform looks suitably rickety for sure. I am wondering where the rest of that croc's body is. The sand green telescope reeds look quite good though, especially with the half-attached angles! -

Thanks Garmadon! Yes, there's some balancing going on... also a little sticky putty. You've seen my desk lately, you know I haven't got time for the next one yet... Takes more than a shipwreck to do Captain A in, for sure! Thanks Capt! I also really enjoyed doing above and below this way, somehow not having a seabed effectively made it look bigger than it really is. Thanks NOD! Thanks Captain B!

[COR-FB] Sheep Shearing School, Wullham
Kai NRG replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Oh yes! Love the plumes, great to see the house finished off with a really good roof. Neat design for the fence doors too, it's always a challenge to get an angled bar in between and you did it nicely! -
[COR - Faction Flavours] The Hertzie tower
Kai NRG replied to lmcpicture's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The combo between curved tower and square top is really messing with my eyes... in a good way! Really cool interior details too, I love the sun and planets especially. -

I really enjoy your water technique, great job with the horn foam. Also nice blend of sideways and studs up work on the tower!

The yellow looks really good with the nougat, love the red shutters too and the spiky grass. -
A great series, I really love a lot of these characters. Fun combo with that hair with the light blue bows and the massive beard I also really like the fisherman and the centaur hairstylist (no idea why I like that last one, actually). Lots of other unique concepts like the pet pig and the log thrower! Exetrius has a point, it wasn't always instantly obvious which ones are from which guild. That isn't a big deal for me though, I enjoyed them a lot regardless.
