  1. Red! Well, I don't really think there's an official order, but that's kind of what's always felt right to me.
  2. You can really tell how much work you put into this build, it turned out really polished. I think the black roof helps that look, it's so smooth. (Also, the way it reflects the light a bit looks super cool!) The kiln is my favorite part, I love how smoothly built into the wall it is--not something that's easy to build with a round shape like that! But all the details of the process are so well represented. The barrel lift is also a favorite of mine!
  3. This is even harder than the other category... 1 point for Henjin_Quilones 1 point for Niku
  4. I love the colors, especially the nougat and light blue combination (which I loved so much I immediately stole it...). The yellow is also lovely. Where are the profile bricks from? They're not official, I assume. Great textures on the base of the fort too, the shield tiles work very well!
  5. Neat use of those dragon wings for flags! I also like the contrast between the greebly city and the green base. Great micro.
  6. 1 point for adde51 1 point for Exetrius
  7. That definitely does have some spinning power on it. I find I like the warmth of the lighting more every time I look at this--and I liked it the first time! The spoilers look perfect as a roof too, I'm starting to want a hundred of them for myself! Plus you have some great vines. It's really a lovely scene.
  8. Great ship, very clean presentation, the hull lines are really good and so is the rigging. The big Corry flag adds the perfect bit of bright color too.
  9. Black, dark brown, brown... what a great color progression, it really looks good. Excellent rockwork too, and the white bones pop so well! Great pillar technique too!
  10. I love the way you decided to do the rockwork in horizontal layers, it looks really good and for some reason the trees growing out of it don't bother me at all. Speaking of the trees, great work getting lots of different branch angles on the left tree! The tower is solid, too.
  11. Brave soldiers indeed... it must take some courage to carry firewood to that beacon. Neat idea having it stick out like that, the snow line at the base of the cliff is very natural, and lavender was a great color choice for the vegetation, it brings a hint of color without taking away from the cold look!
  12. The fade worked way better than the natural background would have I think, it removes the awkward shadows and lets you focus more on the build. It actually looks so good, that I'm not sure a completely white background would be anything more than equally good. However, if you'd been able to get more light on the build, the picture could have been a little sharper. But as far as the background goes, you did a great job turning a handicap into a presentation technique. It probably is not something that would work for every build; it looks good here because you have an interesting profile that moves in and out, but I expect that it would be awkward around something that were more rectangular. I can say though, I'll be keeping the technique in mind in case I find myself having to take pictures with strong shadows sometime when I'm hurrying for a deadline or whatever!
  13. What a lovely tower, the inset white looks so good - I never realized how well it contrasted with dark orange before! I love the camel stall too and the cactus like plants.
  14. There's something strangely appealing about the mix of colors here--and also about the offsets you've built into it. As I said on Flickr, the spiky vegetation is also really cool, and very appropriate for Nocty! I also like your presentation, with the dark grey fadeout. Definitely a really unique entry with lots of character--not by any means "just another tower!"
  15. I love the sand dunes, great subtle technique! Going around in circles with the cracks was a great idea and having some sticking out and some not is also really cool. But before I get carried away by my love of sand... that's a great tower too, I think I have almost figured out your technique for making it round , and the splotch of orange right by the well is a good touch!
  16. I always love floating rocks, really neat job on the arches over the top of the tower, and the eagle is a great addition!
  17. Just found a bit of time to read the story, really interesting start! One note, in English it's usual to put the punctuation inside the quotation mark. For example: He said, "That was a close call." (instead of: call".)
  18. This is some good snow-scape and like I said on Flickr, the tans look really good next to the white! The stone texture on the tower walls is also super interesting, not something I would have tried but it totally works between the brown poles!
  19. Another great towering house, love the dark red and red combo and the bits of trees sticking out is really a nice touch that hints at so much landscaping that isn't actually there. Olive and light blue is also a really neat combination for the flowers!
  20. Great build, I once again really like the bright flora and the red horns on the purple branches especially. The tower too looks fairly simple but has some really nice touches, like the angled 2x2 slopes.
  21. I love the way the coral looks! That color has just moved up a couple notches in the list of exotic colors I want to try next. The tan buildings in the foreground tone it down nicely too.
  22. What a neat wall technique! The texture it gives is great. I wonder how it would look in wood colors--white is definitely really cool!
  23. Neat idea to build the ruins into another building! I also really like the statues over the doors.
  24. A great choice for a tale to retell! Nice work on the wave of sand, especially around the edges; the exposed studs contrast well with the cracked ground!
  25. Yeah, a little, though it kind of makes the shine look smaller. If you do happen to want to try layering it, I'd be happy to do the gimp for you; it just needs to be two pictures with different lighting from the exact same angle (same crop, everything).
