I built this as an entry to my LUG's microscale building contest. Hope you like it!

I made a MOC inspired by having too many brick separators a while back:

Hi Redimus - I'm a member of Brickshire (the Yorkshire LUG), and I'll happily answer any questions you have. We have meetups every few months for socialising and showing MOCs There's also Northern Brickworks, who cover the whole of the north, rather than just Yorkshire, so they might be worth checking out.

This is an incredible build! It's so good I felt the need to share it with my non-AFOL work colleagues when I first saw it earlier, and they also loved it. Great job

Need some advice on 90s space collection shaping / pruning (TimeCruise
Big Sal replied to NateStraight's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Space from Futuron to Insectoids, Aquazone, Time Cruisers, Western and Creator houses - your collecting goals are basically identical to what mine were a couple of years ago I don't have many answers for you, especially when it comes to selling. I remember Insectoids being very cheap to collect (with the exception of the rare promo sets, but they're easily ignored) a few years back, which I assumed was down to it not being particularly well-regarded. Whether it's still cheap or not I don't know, but may be worth a look if you like the sets yourself. Of course, some of the parts are quite 'specialised' so may require some creativity to work into MOCs. In terms of sheer quality, I'd personally prioritise completing your Aquanauts and Aquasharks, which are among the best sets ever in my opinion, particularly the Neptune base. The later Aquazone stuff isn't as good, and can be hard to find, at least here in the UK. This probably hasn't been much use in answering your questions, but I couldn't resist chiming in since our tastes seem so similar -
Thanks Zblj! I didn't get a good photo of the back, and there's not much to see, but since you ask:

Partly in response to my friend Luc's amazing Blacktron II mech (check it out, it's much better than mine!), I built the Space Police II Planetary Protector. It's a spaceship for prisoner retrieval and transport from high-risk sectors, where surface operations may be necessary, i.e. it turns into a mech Thanks for looking! More pics on flickr.

Beautiful colour scheme, nice one! -
Great colours, and I like how low to the ground it is

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I think you're right. Let's just say it's a futuristic quantum-ion-fusion fan that works differently Not yet - the part limit for the contest is 338, and this is 337 parts so I didn't have enough pieces left! Plan to add an interior once the contest is over though - there's plenty of space inside...

Presenting the UU-224 'Hammerhead' Submersible - a neo classic space submarine built for the contest on the Brickset forum. Couple more pics on flickr. Thanks for looking!

"No decals are allowed, official or custom." This means no stickers whatsoever? Even correctly stickered parts from official sets?

Wow, this brings back some memories! Great job so far

I made some Pokémon to practise 'studs-out' building. Hope you like them! Left to right: Oddish, Pikachu, Caterpie, Diglett, Blastoise and Charmander. I think Caterpie is my favourite, but unfortunately he won't stand up without a base: Thanks for looking! Individual pics of each one, plus a Pokeball, on flickr.

2192 AD: The second Blacktron War continues across the solar system. The Space Police have established a network of prison camps hidden in the asteroid belt. Many of the Space Police troopers and Blacktron prisoners will spend the majority of the war stationed or imprisoned in the harsh conditions of these camps: Despite the futility of attempting to escape an asteroid, the Blacktron prisoners still felt a duty to try, and riots were common: Space Police Chiefs were known for their bravery in monitoring the riots from inside their bunkers: Space Policeman Steve and Blacktron prisoner Bertha take advantage of the chaos to continue their secret relationship... After the war ended and the Blacktron prisoners were set free, they both craved the adventure they'd missed out on during the war. Steve signed up to the Explorien mission to Alpha Centauri, where he played an important part in uncovering fossils of ancient alien life. Bertha started a terraforming company which quickly became one of the leading firms in the industry. With the solar system at peace, the old Space Police prison camps were sold off or fell into ruin. With Bertha's fortune, the couple were able to buy the camp where they fell in love. The Interplanetary Conservation Trust ruled that the exterior of the tower should not be altered, as any camps remaining were important historical landmarks. The only exterior change they would allow was replacement of the now dangerous airlock with a simpler door, as long as it was inkeeping with the original style. What they didn't account for was Bertha's terraforming company. The exterior of the camp was left intact, but the asteroid around it was given an atmosphere and turned into a colourful paradise... Bertha sweeps the kitchen - Steve is always bringing mud in from the garden! Up in the tower, Steve tunes in to his favourite show: The old guard robots still have their uses: You can see the whole set on flickr. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for all the kind words everyone! I've put some photos up on flickr of the vehicles by themselves if anyone would like a clearer look at them. Haha, sadly I've taken the whole thing apart now - I needed the floor of my spare room back!

Great build with a fantastic colour scheme - even the display stand is awesome!

I really like this The foam rocks look very realistic, and it's great where you've integrated the Lego into it, like embedding the crystals or having the rock monster burst out. I liked the look of Rock Raiders when they came out, but it was just as I was slipping into my dark ages... Maybe I should start hunting down some sets
