  1. Haha, so simple, yet so awesome
  2. Thanks for all the comments everyone Yeah, I'm going to build up the rocks and do some more general landscaping. Watch this space!
  3. This is really cool - I can easily imagine a sci-fi novel or film being set here
  4. EDIT: Extended the cliffs upwards, made the ground more interesting and changed the guy being dragged along. "The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which... except that the pigs were wearing exosuits." George Orwell, Animal Farm. If parts of this look familiar, it's because I based it on 7684 Pig Farm and Tractor. It's a prisoner of war camp in a future where humanity is fighting a war against pigs. Mean pigs. Would love any feedback. More pics available on Brickshelf
  5. Wow This is so unique - I love it!
  6. I love it! And it's amazing to see such old pieces looking so clean and unfaded
  7. I really like this! Makes me want to build a strike force to try to break in
  8. Thanks for all the comments!
  9. It struck me that dark grey, green and trans-clear might make for a good colour scheme. It looked much better with old dark grey than with dark bley, but unfortunately most of my old dark grey is still at my parents' house Anyway, here's what I managed, using nearly every old dark grey piece I had with me (mostly from a 6960 Sea Scorpion I got from eBay). EchoTron Tank: EchoTron Skimmer: Into battle! Any comments or criticism welcome!
  10. Thanks! The minibot is just the one from Particle Ionizer (http://www.brickset.com/minifigs/?m=sp083) - I can put a close up if you really want, but can't take credit for it!
  11. This is great! I usually hate to see space figures that aren't fully spacesuited up, but 'too vain' for breathing gear is an excuse I can get behind
  12. Made a few months ago, this is my first decent attempt at an MOC since I came out of my dark ages. I dissasembled 6989 Mega Core Magnetizer, 6928 Particle Ionizer, 6877 Vector Detector, 6896 Celestial Forager and 6833 Beacon Tracer (all of which I'd recently bought on eBay) into a big pile and started building! Some pics of the main outpost: The crane, for loading and unloading from the dump trucks: The control centre: Close up on one of the gate turrets: None shall pass! One of the two identical dump trucks: A spaceship: A little refuelling vehicle built out of cool leftover pieces: And a shot of everything together: Any comments would be greatly appreciated (even if it's on the layout of the post rather than the model - I'm new here! )
  13. Hi everyone! Been lurking here for a year or so, and thought it was about time I got involved! I'm a 23 year old PhD student in Leeds, UK, and my favourite theme is Space. I've mostly been trying to complete my childhood space collections, though I couldn't resist the Alien Conquest sets (it was 7066 Earth Defense HQ that broke my resistance ), and I've been semi-successfully placating my girlfriend with Friends sets Hoping to post some MOCs and maybe some reviews of those old space sets soon! Mark
