  1. I did a few others for that display (turtle wagon, blues brothers car, A-Team van) but nothing I felt was worth uploading to CUUSOO (plus the blues brothers cars I almost directly copied from a picture of someone else's MOC I found online) Also I have no real need to do KITT, there's a few on CUUSOO already and Orion Pax just added his awesome rendition Also in case anyone is interested in the history of my Ghostbusters Lego, back when I was a kid I never really had any actions figures or anything like that. So whenever I was into something new (TMNT, Batman, Ghostbusters) I'd build it in LEGO. I decided to recreate the version of Ecto-1 I made back in 1989, it's an approximation as I can't remember the exact detailing I used on the roof, but the design of the car itself it's pretty much as it was back then, in "classic 80s" LEGO car design format. 1989 by Brent Waller, on Flickr I had a little Ghostbusters logo I cut out of a colouring book or something I stuck onto the doors and my Ghostbusters used classic space airtanks for backpacks. I think I based the characters on their "Real Ghostbusters" appearances as I didn't really have the right torsos and there wasn't the variety of hair pieces back then as there is now. I think Egon had a classic blue spaceman torso and legs with a white police cap to simulate his hair from the TV show haha. Anyway I can't wait til you all get to see the final model, it's looking great.
  2. If the rumour is true it's more likely the other way around, they were probably well into development of the UCS when my tumbler was under review for cuusoo, could be why it was rejected, conflicting products I don't get the hate for the Tumbler though, we've had 1 real one and one camo one with "The Bat" set, they're hardly saturating the market with Tumblers. The fact the fans are continually making their own MOCs goes to show that the there's a market for a more accurately portrayed representation of the Tumbler, something they've yet to deliver.
  3. Amazing!, It's surprisingly large
  4. It could just be a designer purchasing parts for his or her personal use but getting it delivered to work. I do it all the time at my un-Lego related workplace.
  5. I have more photos here on my flickr page from last years BrisBricks Expo. I've had a lot of requests for instructions which aren't really planned but I can take a lot more close up photos and upload them for people to see how it's built. It's a relatively straightforward build, nothing too fancy. There is no interior though as it was mainly built for the Expo, I just threw it in the background of the cuusoo submission to add some interest.
  6. In case anyone is interested I did an interview with an Aussie lego blog about Lego Ghostbusters
  7. No sorry I don't have any instructions or LDD files for the firehouse, it's still intact though if you have any areas you're having trouble with I can try and take closer photos to give you a better idea of how it's made, it's relatively straightforward though. There's not a lot to really reveal, any future interaction with TLG will likely be confidential. I did receive an email from cuusoo informing me of my creation passing review. But due to the time difference in a Australia it was down in a long list of emails I had received overnight. They may have actually sent it before it was officially announced. It was the same situation with my tumbler which didn't pass review, I found out the same way as everyone else due to the fact I tend to check social media and forums before email in the morning :P
  8. Thanks for the support (those of you who voted :P) I dare say most of you found out before me, when I woke up this morning I had a ton of facebook messages and emails so I knew something was up, I went straight to cuusoo's blog and found out. Thankfully the text had already given it away as I think I'd be a wreck trying to watching the clip to find out. As for when it will be released, I have no idea, you all know as much as I do at this stage.
  9. To be fair I'd say the continuation of the minecraft theme was mainly due to the sales success of the original set. The Delorean set has been out, what? 3 months now. The first Minecraft set had been out over a year before they announced the new versions. Sales success of the Delorean may entice them to expand the theme, though personally I don't think there's really any other sets that would have the appeal of the Delorean itself, it's an iconic movie car, the train or clocktower isn't in my opinion. I'd love to hear your thoughts on why exactly my submission was lazy? The Tumbler was the first thing I made coming out of my dark ages and since I first posted pictures of it I've had contiguous offers of people wanting to purchase one, I sold a few but it wasn't something I was interested in doing forever, I just wanted to keep building stuff. so I put out instructions for free due to demand, something which took a lot of time for me to do, learning MLCAD, making the instructions and hosting them online. There was still a demand from people wanting to buy them so I thought the next best solution was to submit it to CUUSOO, with the potential for it to become a real set it could help people who didn't have the know-how to find the parts on bricklink and more selfishly, fulfil a dream of designing a lego set and see it sitting on a shelf for the world to see. I spent a considerable amount of time making a and pimping it at every opportunity so you'll have to excuse me if I come off as slightly offended when it's called a lazy submission.
  10. So at the latest BrisBricks Expo (In Brisbane Australia) I did a movie/tv shows city theme as my display. It features my batmobiles, ghostbusters (ecto-1 and firehouse) a slightly modified BTTF delorean, and lots of other tidbits. Full disclosure: The A-Team Van, Blues Brothers Car and Aliens (Xenomorphs) were based on other peoples designs I found online, I just tried to build them based off photos and my available parts. Not happy with the photos as they were taken in a hurry, I missed a few things too like Raphael undercover, the A-Team van close up and the Terminator. 11. Love to see my Batmobile pop up, even better with great photos!
  12. Thanks guys (Brent Waller here) I would love for the tumbler to come with a nolan verse joker, I showed the custom one I made based off someone elses design in the youtube video I did for my tumbler. I can only imagine how much better an official lego one would be.
  13. Thanks!, share the link to the video (or cuusoo page) if you know anyone who might be interested, I could use the votes :)
  14. I've done up a video to promote the submission, I also had some fun with dry ice making it. Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary on CUUSOO
  15. Thanks, I'm awaiting delivery of some LED lights to deck out Ecto-1 in, when they do arrive I'll be sure to share a video if it in action.
  16. Thanks, I've done a bit of an update, I will take better photos at some point but here they are.
  17. Thanks for all the comments I'm working on my own firehouse (see the pic above) so I won't be using the modular firehouse, I have salavaged it for parts though.
  18. Hi all, some of you may remember my Ghostbusters decals I did a year or so back. I finally got around to finishing Ecto-1 to go along with them. I was kinda outshined by Orion Pax's amazing job a week or to back but regardless I've put a bit more work into the minifigs and Ecto-1 and I've submitted it to CUUSOO. If you like what I've done please take the time to vote and share the link with your friends on facebook etc. Cuusoo Ghostbusters I have lots more planned for this, including the Ghostbusters HQ (which you can see a work in progress picture below), working lights for Ecto-1, a big Stay Puft Marshmellowman (in a similar style to my mech designs with articulation) and some supporting characters like Louis Tulley as The Keymaster and Dana Barrett as The Gatekeeper. Stay tuned to either here or or cuusoo for further updates. Cuusoo Ghostbusters
  19. What's that brick pattern pieces you've used there in front of the shellraiser?
  20. I have a sealed series 1 zombie, not sure I'd part with him for 2 minifigs though
  21. Yeah I keep meaning to make a new tumbler as that's the first thing I ever made coming out of my dark ages, I'd like to make the back wheels bigger and fatten out the front a bit to match the real one. But new MOCs seem to take priority and it's a pain in the big behind to work with black bricks in my house, We don't have very good lighting.
  22. Very nice, looks great and in proportion with my Tumbler design :) Personally though I'd change the primary picture on Cuusoo to be the second one, at first glance it looks like the cockpit is built straight up and down when in fact it's just the cockpit open.
  23. These are still for sale, I also have parts on the way to make 10 black ones if anyone is interested, AUD$60 plus postage.
  24. Well I have a minifig trade thread here So anything in there, On top of those I'm interested in classic lego spaceman minifigs in new or excellent condition. I'd take offers of sets too but I couldn't really list them all here.
