  1. I'm not sure if anyone will want these but they're free to anyone willing to pick them up\pay for postage. I have an empty box of series 3 and 4 minifigs, take them or leave them they're getting thrown otherwise. I'm in Springwood QLD
  2. I think I'll just order some POTC from bricklink, no way I'm paying RRP for them here when all I want is the captain jack minifigs and a few of the custom pieces (globe), I'll probably just get the fountain of youth (for blackbeard/swearingen) and the captains cabin or whatever it's called for jack sparrow and the globe\ships in bottles
  3. I saw series 4 in Target (Springwood QLD) today for $4.90 a pop. My 6 complete sets arrived yesterday too, with 2 boxes on the way as well. I think this is my favourite out of all the series so far. Love the hazmat dude.
  4. I dunno if this has been posted yet but my local Target (Springwood QLD) has a lot of stuff on clearance, I saw some tie fighter thing for $109 (sorry didn't pay much attention as I don't collect star wars lego, amongst many others. I grabbed the Pizza Planet Truck for $25 down from $80, I've been eyeing it off since it was released but couldn't justify the price, at $25 I nearly got 2 for the alien minifig alone :P correction, I think the "tie fighter" thing was boba fetts ship
  5. I have just ordered 2 boxes of series 4 as well, I'll likely sell off the extra sets to pay for my own set if anyone is interested. I could buy 2 loose mad scientists off ebay or somewhere to make 6 complete sets but then I won't have 3 musketeers and 3 bio hazard guys for myself :P So there'll be 3 spare sets and numerous spares of most kinds, if anyone is interested PM me. But note they won't be shipped til the end of the month.
  6. I know a lot of people say this for every series, but I'm a lot more critical than most, I found Series 3 to be the weakest series by far, but 4 looks like it completely dominates all previous releases. With the exception of the surfer girl and another skater guy, nothing seems like it's there for filler. That said I'm again disappointed in the uneven distribution again, there is no excuse for only have 2 full sets per box except for greed, Sorry Lego, but when you're market is impressionable children and mostly unknowing parents that's a low tactic. It worked fine for the first 2 series, and they sold bucket loads regardless.
  7. So I decided to start a bricklink store to unload some overspending over the years, I don't have a whole lot but I thought I'd at least promote it a little. BrisVegas Bricks! The main thing I wanted to bring to people's attention is I'm offering to create versions of my Camouflage Batmobile Tumbler as seen below The price is quite expensive as there's quite a lot of work involved in actually creating them, but I thought if people want one that badly the option is there, They're made to order so there's not real skin off my nose if no one is interested. I also have Full sets of series 3 minifigs for AUD$75 each with free postage with Australia if you mention eurobricks.
  8. Ok I've only got 3 sets of series 3 minifigures, but i'm keen to unload them and the remaining single minifigures, I've dropped the price to AU$75 per set on my bricklink store, mention eurobricks forum and I'll send if via regular postage within Australia for free!
  9. Ok I have my series 3 sorted now, I just have to wait for the fishermen to arrive, if anyone is interested in the following please PM me. 4 x Complete Set of 16 Minifigures AUD$80 each including free postage within Australia Single Minifigures, AUD$5 each plus postage AUD$1 per minfig with a maximum charge of AUD$6 postage (as long as it fits in a 250g postal satchel) 4 x Sumo Wrestlers 5 x Race Car Driver 4 x Space Alien 2 x Pilot 1 x Space Villian (Cyborg) 4 x Mummy 2 x Tennis Player 2 x Gorilla Suit Guy 1 x Baseball Player Also I bit the bullet and made myself a Bricklink Store page, seeing as eBay takes an arm and a leg for each transaction Bricklink actually has a pretty sweet deal, no cost in starting a store and 3% of sales under USD$500 So I introduce to you, Brisvegas Bricks! Not a lot on there yet as I only put it up an hour ago, but I'll be updating it soon with more information on the splash page and hopefully more stock, I know I have at least 3 or 4 Toy Story Army Men sets lying around and a few (now) rare Batman Minifigs and keyrings. I can tell you right now though that I won't be looking to make a splash on the market with my store, just unloading some of my overspending throughout the years and looking to help fund my next lot of overspending :P
  10. weird, mine was only 2 fishermen, exactly as the box in the eurobricks review, did you get yours from the US or Europe? just wondering if they have different allocations, mine was from Denmark.
  11. My 2 boxes of series 3 minifigs turned up today, my extra 2 fishermen to make up 6 whole sets isn't here yet but I'm gauging interest to see who might like to buy a set, or leftovers. I'm looking at AUD$80 a set which includes postage within Australia (or pickup in Brisbane\Springwood). PM me if you're interested, otherwise they're off to ebay, or I'm even tempted to start a bricklink store... Also I tried diligently to find out what was in each packet via the dots but I gave up in the end, some had no or 1 dots that I could see, some had 6! dots. So the packets have been opened to verify contents but that's it.
  12. mine is pretty sad really, duplo train track set :(
  13. I stopped in Target Brisbane CBD on the way to work this morning, they have series 3 in stock, I picked up 2 at random to tide me over until my boxes show up, I picked the 2 least interesting ones, race car driver and blacktron dude :( I also didn't realize that there was only 2 full sets per box, there's only 2 fisherman per full box. I ordered 2 more fisherman from online to make up 6 full sets, but it will throw off my prices for a full set. I'll let you guys know though when they show up and I do the math.
  14. Thanks for the advice, I spent about an hour in Target when Series 2 came out sifting through barcodes for my set, I wasn't looking forward to doing that again without barcodes for series 3, add the extra markup to $5 a pop and it'd end up costing me $80 for a set, an hour or more trying to find them via brail bumps and even then no guarantee of getting a full set. I looked in bricklink last night and found a seller in denmark who had some, I had to buy a full box though but I figured I could resell them on ebay or here to make up for it, at the last minute I decided I'd buy 2 boxes to bring the cost of shipping down per minifig. So now I have 2 boxes, 120 minifigs on the way, my wife is gonna kill me. I think it'll come to about $54 per set of 16 in total, I'll likely put them on ebay for $70 plus free australian postage.
  15. Brisbane cbd target has series 2 minifigs in stock, looked to be 5-6 fresh boxes there, all opened though sadly for those looking for a whole box. I spent what felt like 30 mins scanning barcodes looking for a set for myself, plus an extra mariachi dude cause he looks awesome. There was another afol there trying to feel his way through the packets, I told him about the barcodes online and he replied "yeah but you have to pay to get a copy of them" WTF? Who is ripping people off selling the barcodes when you can get them for free?
  16. This isn't a cutest kid or best photo competition, just who gets the most votes So if you could spare 5 seconds to vote for number #26 - Waller it would be appreciated Link to voting here Thanks!
  17. This makes me want to go back and revisit mine and see if I can improve it, it was the first thing I ever built coming out of my dark ages and I have more pieces now. Yours looks a lot more compact and I think my rear tires are too small in retrospect
  18. I believe they were $5 each from memory
  19. I picked up a wizard and a farmer from toys r us garden city (QLD) on tuesday last week, they had tons of wizards but not many farmers. I couldn't see any jesters though
  20. I'm highly tempted to snatch a whole box of minifigs this time around if I can find one unopened or fresh, I want a set for myself and have a friend how does too, leaving another set I could either eBay, sell on here or keep :) I'm not really interested in hording any particular minifig like some (the spartan), I just love having a good variety of minifigs and their accessories for MOCs. Plus that mariachi dude is plain awesome. I also don't want to be stuck like I was with series 1, digging around stores checking barcodes to find a zombie to complete my collection.
  21. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions I'm quite limited in how many pieces I have, I have all of the other CC style buildings but I built this one with the pieces left over from other sets, which isn't much in my case as I've only been out of my dark ages for about 2 or so years now. I don't have enough 1x4s in green so I dunno how it would look longer, the roof though I did make higher but just didn't work visually, the height kind of reduced the impact of the center roof piece with the statue inside. I do agree with you making the corner decoration on the top floor tiles (the same as the bottom) instead of bricks, but again it came down to my limit pieces. I truly scraped the bottom of the barrel for pieces building this, in many cases I'd place a piece and look down to find it was the last one, but I no longer needed any more after that :)
  22. UPDATE!, This MOC is now up for voting on CUUSOO! Modular Costume Store for Collectible Minifgures, Vote now on CUUSOO Introducing the "Costume Corner" in the modular style of Cafe Corner, Grand Emporium, Green Grocer and Fire Brigade! For all your costume and disguise needs look no further...unless of course the costumes you're after AREN'T a Collectible Minifigures of the Series 1 variety. I'm done, it's been about 2 months in the making, I've made a few changes since my original post, mainly to the upstairs interior but also I've remade the tree, raised the bottom floor slightly, improved the rooftop skylights and lots of other minor tweaks, anyway here it is! 23. nice work! I like the details on the awning, might have to steal the idea :P I also love those little bins out the back, a ton of detail packed into such a small space.
  24. I raised it up 1 brick yesterday afternoon, it looks much better, you can see the arches underneath the awnings now. I can't make the awnings any bigger or raise the first floor any higher though as I'm running out of pieces :( It's amazing though building this, as I look down in my pieces and see that I only have 1 pieces of a certain type left, I put it on, and then that's it, I don't need any more and I've used them all up. That's happened to me numerous times on this build and it is always very satisfying and feels like fate at play :)
  25. Thanks guys, I'm still not 100% happy with it though, I think I might try making the lower level 1 brick higher, to me it seems a bit imbalanced to me ATM. I will take better pictures soon, I'm getting the fire brigade set for my 31st birthday from my wife on the 3rd of august so I've given myself until then to finish this building, then I will take some better photos with all my buildings together.
