  1. Thanks, I should probably have used a different picture as not to distract from the selling of them :/
  2. Some of you may have seen my black and camo tumblers before, due to a few requests I've done a limited run of camo tumblers, including the original one I made for myself there is only 6 of these in the world and only 3 remaining for sale. Here's a near finished example. Nearly Finished by Brent Waller, on Flickr The Tumbler on CUUSOO by Brent Waller, on Flickr They are AUD$100 each plus postage (From Australia) I can offer discounts for multiples (but remember there is only 3) and will consider trading if it's something I'm interested in. A few things to note with these tumblers however is that they are spray painted with Vinyl Dye paint, it is quite durable but the paint cannot withstand repeated disassembly and assembly so it is highly recommended that they are never to be taken apart. They will come pre assembled but instructions are available for the black versions if you ever accidentally break pieces off and need to know how to reassemble it.
  3. Any tips for fast\nice lighting settings? I tried doing radiosity with AA last night and it literally didn't change past 42% overnight when it got to the transparent pieces. I ended up turning off radiosity and AA and quickly did one again this morning before I left for work. Obviously it doesn't look as nice... Image
  4. While you weren't answering my question this reply helped my render to finally start, Thanks, will post results when it's done.
  5. you could probably figure it out without instructions fairly easily based on those photos.
  6. so I just uploaded my ghostbusters decals and would love to contribute them, however I'm not sure how to export an SVG file from photoshop? I created them all with vector shapes so hopefully it's possible but I have no experience with SVG and my limited google search skills only came up with plugins I'd have to pay for to use.
  7. For those that are interested I've uploaded all these decals to flickr, both in white and clear waterslide decal variants
  8. GAF represent!
  9. Thanks to everyone who has voted so far, it reached 2500 votes on the weekend, a long way to go though.
  10. Well I don't think I'll bother pursuing this any further since LEGO just announced official Bane and TDKR minifigs are SDCC, they look great and I can't wait to get my hands on them :)
  11. I love your Bat, supported a week or so back, our tumblers will have to fight to the death on cuusoo though :)
  12. Well my 3D printed Bane vests turned up today via shapeways. Not very happy with the results :( The material it's printed on is quite grainy looking, it's not too bad to touch but on close inspection (as seen in the photos) it looks like it's made of stone, not sure what I can do do fix it though, if anything. Bane Vest Painted by Brent Waller, on Flickr Bane Vests by Brent Waller, on Flickr On the left is the painted one with tamiya primer. In the middle is the same but then coated in sand tan colour paint and on the right is the original raw colour. Also the neck hole was too small, not a huge deal though as I just drilled it larger and filed it clean.
  13. They should turn up this week, however they will need painting. fingers crossed they turn out OK, I've never had anything printed in 3D before.
  14. Photo and article link Scroll down on this link to see them setting up the trees in Sydney CBD
  15. List updated, new items added in bold
  16. For anyone selling I'm interested in at least 5 sets of olympic minifigs, I'm in Australia, PM me if you can help.
  17. I have a hulk, but I don't think I'd want to trade it for just 1 ghost
  18. I put a layby down on the mines of moria set early this week at Myer, though I've never used layby before and neither had the woman who served me. She couldn't tell me whether the $10 I put down on it goes against the final cost or not, has anyone here used Myer's layby before and can tell me what the deal is?
  19. Thanks, My first idea for a 3D printed piece was actually Bane's mask, but I figured I'd attempt this first as it's a bit simpler. Whether I take a shot at it next I'm not sure, I'll have to wait to get the prints in the mail, which is probably a month away. If they turn out OK I'll think about it :P I really wanna do another mech "job bot" but having 2 kids now makes it difficult to find the time, plus I have about 15 other custom minifig decals\designs I want to do, too many hobbies :(
  20. Very nice, how tall is it compared to a regular modular?
  21. It's only about $2.50 to print but it's $20 in postage :(
  22. Here's the "final" version, I've ordered a couple from Shapeways, now I just have to sit back and wait, fingers crossed that they turn out OK.
  23. I'm stepping up my customizing to the next level and I'm going to attempt a 3D printed vest piece via Shapeways. ED-209 did a fantastic job with his decal design but I felt it was lacking the added volume that only a 3D torso vest piece piece could add. Initially I ordered a custom tactical vest that was similar to Bane's from Minifig Cat, the quality was great but I felt it wasn't accurate enough for my liking, though the benefit of the 3D piece was obvious. Here's a comparison. So here's my current work in progress 3D model for the vest. It needs some more work, I want to round off the edges of the front, similar to the way I've tapered the lower back in. Hopefully this will give the chest and front a bit of bulge and stop it looking so flat. Comments and critique are welcome, I want to try and finish it off this week and submit it for printing so I can get it back before the movie is released.
  24. I work for a company who worked on an olympics project and there's at least 5 people in the office who'd be interested in a set of these minifigs each. If anyone is interested send me PM with a quote for a set\box
