  1. Ozgameshop sells lego now?! mind blown
  2. People have asked me a few times what the actual story behind that photo is. I like to leave it up to interpretation, did he accidentally tear the guy in half while trying to fix him?, unaware of his own strength? or did he arrive too late to the scene of an accident and after trying in vain to piece him back together lets out a desperate cry to the heavens. Who knows?
  3. Yeah I ended up doing an order aaages ago of just a ton of ball joints, must have about 30 full sets of male and female connectors for it. The females are actually prone to breaking over time, I've got about 3-4 broken ones so far.
  4. I wasn't planning on it to be honest, takes so long to do instructions. I could possibly recreate them in LDD but it's time consuming. I don't actually have any of them assembled anymore, I could recreate them pretty easily though (and possibly even improve them as I have more pieces now than what I had when I made them), I've got a bucketload of photos for them to look at to deconstruct again. I actually have some funny early photos of FRANK when I was attempting to make him in a red colour scheme, he ended up looking more like santa claus so I abandoned that idea.
  5. I just saw this on CUUSOO last night and voted for it, very nice. If you had to estimate, how many pieces would this be compared to a regular modular set?
  6. That's a fair call, since it's been a few years since I made it I can look back objectively and see what you mean, it's a little "dry" in presentation and lacking some heart on the exterior. Regardless I think with LEGOs help (and 10000 votes of course) I can give it a bit more flavour overall. Or conversely change it to an office, bank or apartment block.
  7. Updated original posted with CUUSOO voting submission for this MOC Modular Costume Store for Collectible Minifgures, Vote now on CUUSOO
  8. Some of you might remember these guys from a few years back, I've posted each of them individually on CUUSOO now, there's also full galleries with more picks on the respective flickr pages Job Bot #1 MA-X: Medical Android Version 10 Accident by Brent Waller, on Flickr Job Bot #2 EARL: Enforcement & Apprehension Robotic Lieutenant EARL: Enforcement and Apprehension Robotic Lieutenant by Brent Waller, on Flickr Job Bot #3 FRANK: Fire & Rescue Android Revision NK Frank Profile Left by Brent Waller, on Flickr Job Bot #4 ALA-N: Astronautical Lunar Android 9 ALA-N Exploring by Brent Waller, on Flickr
  9. 300 votes! Thanks to all those who've voted so far, I don't like my chances of getting to 10000 though.
  10. Is there a trade thread for aussies? or is it confined to here?
  11. Ha. I'd probably make more money than my current career, I don't think I'd enjoy it as much though unless I was promoting Lego or batman :p
  12. I was bored today and did up a little youtube video promo for these MOCs to try and snag some more votes on cuusoo...
  13. I probably should have done that at first but it's too late now and I don't really want to splinter the votes. I did however add some descriptions for additional figs and vehicles\playsets
  14. thanks batbrick, I imagine some improvements could be made with LEGOs help, the front wheels aren't as strong as they should be and there is likely other improvements that could be made. One suggestion from CUUSOO website was the addition of a joker and circus truck and SWAT van companion vehicle which would be cool. Perhaps the camo one could be a seperate set with a bruce wayne, lucious fox and a small computer console
  15. Actually I take that back, I went back to Big W to pick up one of the storage tool boxes after going home to price check them online, and I noticed the price tag on the shelf for series 6 was there but there was none on the shelves, so they must have sold out already. I went to the Underwood Toyworld as well and they have a box of series 6 at the counter
  16. I'm in Australia and will consider overseas trades for larger quantities but not really interested in singles or small trades overseas. Wants I'm actually mainly after non CMF characters, superman, wonderwoman, batman series etc, even some star wars. (even sets for high quantity trades) Series 6 11x Bandit 11x Highlander 11x Minotaur 5x Flamenco Dancer 5x Leprechaun 4x Skater Girl 4x Intergalactic Space Girl 4x Mechanic 3x Classic Alien I also have 16 complete sets of series 6, I will consider trades for Batman sets (new MISB), they're also for sale but not really relevant to the trade thread
  17. Big W and Target in Underwood and Springwood respectively (QLD) seem to have all the latest sets in stock, DC, creator, ninjago etc, everything except series 6 minifigures
  18. You can fit a batman minifigure perfectly inside it, complete with seat, steering wheel and dials. Pictures of this are on the cuusoo and flickr\mocpages links
  19. Does it come in black? by Brent Waller, on Flickr So with the success of the recent Minecraft LEGO set on I thought I'd submit my custom lego batmobile I built back in 2008 when I came out of my dark ages. I built custom instructions for the set using MLCAD (a LEGO CAD program) as well as making a camo version painted using vinyl dye. Please check out my submission for it on cuusoo's website here and if you think it's worthy and would like to see it possibly come an official set, please vote for it. To be clear licensed sets are permitted under their terms and conditions, if the set successfully reaches 10 000 votes LEGO will take care of licensing deals. The link also contains images of the creation as well as links to the instructions and more info. VOTE HERE Also if you REALLY like it please twitter, Google+, Facebook, SMS, Phone, Telegraph, Smoke Signal it around the internets.
  20. Are Season 6 minifigs widespread now? I saw them in Big W 2 weeks ago, but they were practically cleaned out, but there was nothing in my local Target last night when I was there.
  21. thanks for that, I just did a quick calculation and it comes in at about $21 cheaper via shopUSA. Is there any other cheap US retailers for lego worth looking at?
  22. Has anyone has anyone bought from US online stores like walmart and used a US shipping redirection service? I'm considering trying it for the pet store and superheroes sets, they have the pet store for $150 and the catwoman and supermans sets for $12 and $20 respectively. I did a rough calculation and with postage for the pet store I'm still saving about $75 off the local RRP on the pet store, bringing it down to just under $200 delivered. I've never used one before though, so I was hoping someone here might be able to share their experiences, I'd probably end up getting the pet store and most of the superheroes sets to make it worth doing.
  23. It's not really a sale, but I have sets of series 6 plus a ton of spares for sale if anyone is interested, sets are going for $80 with postage and singles I'll accept offers on I'm not sure of the quantities but I have multiples of the following Minotaurs Intergalactic Girls Grey Aliens Bandits Flamenco Dancers Leprechauns Celtic Warriors Skater Girls Mechanics
  24. My daughter has a ton of duplo, but most of it is just blocks, I was thinking of getting her some doors, windows, roof pieces singularly from bricklink rather than buying more sets (and hence more plain bricks she doesn't really need) What's the best bricklink store to look at for that kind of thing? somewhere with a lot of stock and reasonably priced, I like getting stuff from Denmark\Germany\Netherlands too as the postage always seems a lot cheaper compared to the US (I'm in Australia)
  25. It's better than my poor attempt at a pet store using leftover pieces though I must say I'm a bit disappointed in the result, it's on par with market street which I never bothered picking up. Now if they would make my costume corner a set I'd buy that :P
