Aye, the mission was a success! Many thousands of thank ye! -
Yeah, I feel the same way... she does look rather plain but maybe that's deliberate. I feel the design of the original being channeled somewhat.

DUH! Letranger Absurde = @vitreolum I'm so slow and dopey these days

The only conclusion I've drawn so far is we have a hive mind. No wait! That makes no sense! It's because I'm stupid. Ok, let's try again: It's about time the LEGO Group found a way of separating hair pieces from hats so they can be interchangeable. Something similar was done for this 2015 minifig.

Oh, the eye-patch was my Halloween costume a couple of years ago. It's the mustache you really should be questioning... -

Excellent work to both of you! Social media has stolen a lot of the traffic Eurobricks once received, so we can provide value by offering a platform for more in depth discussions on the building of these creations.

Was this built by the same @SlyOwl who once frequented these waters? Also, I have moved this topic to the Pirate MOC Forum but thank you for posting, @vitreolum

This is a beautiful website! On top of building the site, did you also photograph and edit all the set photos too?

@Captain Pirate Man, this is looking to be a fine rendition of the Dutchman! However, you need some to post some decent photos in this topic because not everyone uses Facebook and those who do probably won't investigate your Facebook page on the merits of your written introduction. I've extracted a photo from Facebook - great work, but you're letting yourself down severely with the presentation. Must have bigger, higher quality photos.

So which nation does this vessel belong to? Or put another... what type of minifigs will she be manned with?

Well done! The reason grey (or white) works better is because its a neutral colour and doesn't distract from the MOC. Ok, let's post this on the Classic Pirates social media!

The framing is great! But the blue background is a bit gaudy - the original grey works better.

You got a render with better framing? For some reason you've opted for too much foreground resulting in cut off masts.
