  1. Very nice army, I especially like that spider contraption! (You are getting the hang of the level of technology here ) I agree with ZC that some more texturing on the ground would be nice, and also keep in mind when you have a surface of water like those tiles that it looks weird if there is a lower part right next to the water. I would suggest putting a 1x1 plate or brick in that gap. Regarding the photography, narrow depth of field is not necessarily a bad thing when taking closeups as long as the object in focus is what you want to emphasize in your picture. When the whole picture is blurry however, that seems to indicate to me that you are taking the pictures with a too long exposure time while holding the camera. A tripod solves that problem.
  2. Nice fig posing and background! If you don't have enough tiles, plates to even out the gaps goes a long way to make the floor seem a bit more detailed anyway. For closeups like this, I prefer to have thought of every single stud and not leave areas bigger than maybe 2x2 studs without some detailing (can just be small plates or whatever).
  3. Nice scene! The mountains look very good but I agree that a narrower depth of field would have improved the FP illusion. UoP +1.
  4. Very nice walls and a very unusual tree design, which however looks just right in the desert setting. UoP +1 for both claims as the flower mastery is definitely demonstrated
  5. Not interested in getting into the whole moving location discussion, but just the fact that the title referred to the Kragg makes the whole atmosphere of the vignette much more stern Can't wait to see more of the Kragg!
  6. Very nice sigfig BrickCurve! (Or should we in typical GoH manner start calling him BC ) That PoP torso looks very Kaliphlinesque, I've used a few for my Arkbri Falcons, and we have not seen that kind of shield very much as far as I can recall. Wow! That looks incredible! Can't wait to see high-res pictures of that Is that the frame of the official exo-suit...?
  7. A couple of more WIP shots of my Barqa build for GoH HSS and LFW in Skaerbaek next weekend. Finished with the structures but I still have a lot of tiling, minifigs and other details to do. Will have to use absolutely all tan tiles in my collection (which still won't be enough as I planned this build knowing I had a couple of hundred 2x2 tan tiles coming in the LUGBULK, which is now not going to be here in time for LFW...) and hope that the plates and dark tan tiles I mix them with still will give an ok impression How much traffic do you think there should be on the street? I'm thinking something like a couple of riders and maybe a cart but not much more to not distract from the pedestrians and shops behind... Credit to SK for the inspiration for the lower part of the wall
  8. Welcome back! There's so much to like in this build, especially the ruins and the Nocturnian vegetation if you ask me I also think you have some very nice figs there.
  9. Nice use of the octagonal pillar! I'd love to see more of that build
  10. Is "free people" what you Mitgardians call your thralls?? Or maybe the thralls are not Northeners but decended from prisoners of war from other guilds? Out of character: I think the Historica setting where "might means right" would probably imply that there to some extent are unfree people in all guilds, even if the forms may look differently. Slavery in Kaliphlin and Nocturnus, serfdom in feudal Avalonia and thralldom in Mitgardia?
  11. So happy I decided to join this year when it seems to be the final time... but the more reason to make the most of it!
  12. Wow! There is so much to admire in this build The house and the rockwork are simply stellar, and I love how you've built those small paths everywhere. One of my favorite areas is also the walled in path on top of the rocks leading to the door, so much going on there! Not really anything about the build I can suggest any improvements for I would however recommend you to remove the additional links after each pic from the Flickr BBcode, as it does not add any value to the presentation but messes up the post somewhat. If you want to have a caption it's better to write one yourself. Please also update the first post here to clarify for us. I'd be happy to approve a bunch of credits when you pick which ones you want to claim here! (hint: pick the ones you are less likely to fulfill in your upcoming builds)
  13. You have done a great job capturing the feel of an outlaw ambush, especially with the camouflaged men UoP +1 for the claims.
  14. Echoing what other people have said I love your Norse influences (and Swedish names )! Lovely village and great fig combos, as well as the well-written lore. The only nitpick so far is that parts of the ground could use some more details.
  15. Excellent landscaping and very good figures! I think that cross-guild building is sometimes the most rewarding, as it's easy to become comfortable building in the same setting all the time
  16. The Fan Weekend? Pics will be posted when the event has been (in 2 weeks).
  17. Excellent fig, that beard looks perfect!
  18. Excellent build! You've managed to capture a very Norse look, especially with those roof rakes. It reminds me of old Norwegian wooden churches
  19. Nice vig! I like the wall and the window The table is a tad to close in color to the parchments, maybe brown would have worked better as a contrast?
  20. Excellent MOC! I love how you've created the whole mining environment with very nice and realistic equipment But then I saw your video, that's really cool!!
  21. Very innovative approach to the category! I really like the window and walls as well
  22. Excellent minifigs! The water looks great as well. Looking forward to the final phase!
  23. Awesome build and great story as usual! I think the pic with the orb turned out very well, and you've found some great angles in the big build.
  24. Very good work as usual! I like the mix of techniques and colors you have used for the houses and the multitude of details throughout the MOC Too bad that it won't be part of a larger scene, but I know the feeling...when I started working on my Barqa scene I thought I'd do the same but now I'm probably going to have to recycle that pretty fast since there's too many of my expensive pieces there
  25. No, my wife is expecting our second kid right around when the Uppsala event will be. I've thought about maybe trying to get my Nordana Castle there as it after all is part of the medieval landscape community build but I've no idea how to get it there or back. In any case, I won't be going there myself. See you at the next event?
