  1. Very nice result, I like the minifigs a lot I took the liberty to add it to the Barqa HSS register, unfortunately the most suitable category was "Craftsmen/Merchant - Specialty" which was already fulfilled. (I need to build some cloth merchant/craftsman and arms&armor merchant/craftsman soon...)
  2. Nice busy atmosphere and great landscaping
  3. Looks like a very suitable building of a kind Barqa is quite full of Right now many of the merchants are having a hard time, mainly those trading to the south and east where the Ulandians and Desert King respectively are heavily taxing what little trade still flows. The merchants trading to the north are however having a great time! At least with Avalonian goods, Mitgardian trade is for some reason slowing down noticeably these days...
  4. I assume that the freebuilds must be related to the Frozen Beyond/Algus story to count? Or is this just a threshold for new members who wish to join the challenge? (to avoid people simply joining GoH to get the tag with a few quick builds...?) A time-starved father of two demanding children of course hopes that he can enter the challenge with only some challenge builds Sounds like a great tag to distinguish these posts. And I guess [The Frozen Beyond - Freebuild] would also be good to use if the freebuilds need to be related to the Frozen Beyond/Algus story.
  5. Very nice shrine, I especially like the way you have made both the inside and the outside curve fairly smooth despite the thickness of the wall
  6. Nice build, especially the roof. Great use of those minifig hands
  7. Excellent build, I especially like the wizard fig and the groundwork! Great story also, looking forward to future parts While the shape of the house is very nice, I can't help thinking that the uniform colors are a little bit too distinct compared to the rest of the build (especially the all black roof).
  8. A couple of white wargs just arrived in the mail
  9. Nice snowscaping and minifigs
  10. Nice build! My favorite part in this build is how the roof curves
  11. Congratulations!! I really should make a push towards those few remaining UoP credits some day...
  12. Very nice build! Good job making it look cold but not too snowy (late winter/early spring?).
  13. Nice minifigs and posing, and very good photography. I think I should bring out my black backdrop for the Algus builds as well. (there seems to be a typo in the title however...?)
  14. It was not until I started making some Algus figs for the challenge I realized that those spears seems to be quite rare...?
  15. I have some vague recollection of this being announced as a mini-challenge, but I can't find that now...?
  16. Nice building and landscaping! But I think you need to tell us which settlement it's in...? Edit: Saw it in the HSS thread
  17. You are very welcome Ska to use my pictures. (And feel free to add a Flickr link if there's room )
  18. Nice landscaping and good-looking tree! I think the pics are decent but that you would benefit from better lighting. Right now it looks like you have mixed light from different sources with different color temperature.
  19. Nice tent and I like how you've built the dummies, not sure if I've ever seen that technique before I think however that you should include your pics from flickr as smaller size (maximum 800 px) and with a link to the full sized ones, these are too big for the thread. There is a function to create BB code for sharing.
  20. Nice build overall, great windmill (especially the wings) and nice little scenes with the minifigs. The photography is also excellent, may I ask what you backdrop and lighting setup is? (Based on the impressive amount of sand green masonry bricks I suspect that the LUGBULK has already arrived in your area...?)
  21. Nice build with some great fig combos! The strange lighting works very well for Nocturnus. UoP +1 for the claims.
  22. Cute workshop with some great details, I really like the use of the beard pieces as snow What was your backdrop and lighting setup when you took these pictures?
  23. Nice scene with great use of those vertical tooth parts!
  24. Excellent tree and great skeleton posing Good idea to fill in the gaps in the skeleton horse with skeleton legs. I also like the roof a lot and the ground in general, but I'm not entirely fond of the repetitiveness in the low wall and the walls of the house.
  25. Excellent collab! How big is it? As a collab organizer in Swebrick I would also be interested in knowing how you coordinated the build and how the interfaces between the modules look like?
