[COR - FB3 apr] Welcome to Quinnsville: The Tour!
Gideon replied to Tomsche's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great display! It is definitely better than the sum of it's parts when it is a whole town snd not only individual buildings A suggestion however is to mix in some larger parts (eg 2x2 round tiles) in the street to break up the repetative pattern. -
Wow! That shield is definitely one of the top brick-built insignia I've seen

Thanks to whoever already added my builds! A small suggestion for correction is that the new Oleander island's name should be "Île de Zeus" and not "Île De Zeus". -

Now I see it! NPU -
Excellent building and great magic effects! Regarding the photo edit, the lighting and backdrop of the minifigs worked out great! I however recommend shooting white objects in front of a darker background, and when editing away a background to make it white it's good if the actual background used is also bright to avoid dark "halos" around the bricks. (the same of course goes for editing to a darker background). Generally, investing time in making the backdrop setup good saves A LOT of time in post-processing For the trans-neon colored magic effects it would have been interesting to see how these would have looked if illuminated with blacklight

Great use of those new figure parts and nice scene overall

Interesting, I also had some problems (or at least it felt different than in reality) with how my camera captured sand green in a recent build (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=118528). I had calibrated the white balance so it's not that at least (wrong white balance is a very common source for weird color renditions in MOC photos imho).

Great fig combinations you have there! The Arkbri Falcons will surely fight close to this formidable force (except maybe with some distance to the mascot )

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Only because it is allowed lore-wise (i.e. exists) maybe doesn't mean that it's socially accepted? -
Great design overall and especially with the golden parts Not as fond of the sand green on the ground, for some resson it looks to bright. The dark green/olive green/reddish brown parts look great however!

I second that. Right now this forum is spawning way too many threads to keep up on reading, let alone comment everything... If it would be possible, it would be great if there was some MRCA gain to listening to feedback and improving MOCs and/or their presentation.

That must entirely be due to a misunderstanding! Great entry!

[OL - FB1] Prospecting on Île de Zeus

Ok, I'll keep waiting for a few more days -
Lovely spring feeling! And great to have you back here in GoH! The amount of foliage is almost what I would expect to have developed well into the summer, but all the light green saves the spring look A bit too early here on Mitgardian latitudes in central Scandinavia, but at least the snow is mostly gone now here as well.

That must indeed be a tough undertaking, so I fully understand -
Great diorama overall, and I really like the different small scenes going on around in the build

Great reinterpretation of a fantastic set, fits very well in Avalonia

Great to see Astrapi growing! Nice building, particularly like the roof. Which part are those cart wheels...? I definitely like the connectivity hinting at more things to come! Regarding the pictures the white balance of the second one looks a bit too yellow to me, it's easily corrected in post processing (or if you prefer to shoot jpegs straight out of the camera you can set it on the camera to whatever light source you are using).

Excellent landscaping and great use of those third-party leaves As usual, those tree trunks are really impressive!
-
That's why guest passes are great so you can make people for example here being able to click the link to see the full sized picture but they will still not show up in your photo stream.

Really good build overall and some very nice details! The wind there must be blowing in the same direction most of the time, as the windmill cannot be turned?
