[SoNE Freebuild] The streets of Nar Eurbrika
Gideon replied to Wedge09's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Nice run-down feel to that street, and I love the spot of color in the otherwise sparse color palette The broaken road surface is good, but I think I would have liked it more with a layer or two of tan plates in the gaps so the tiles would not have protruded so much. -

Very nice ship and great use of those motors! The old gray did unexpectedly not bother me at all -
[SoNE Free Build] Over here Sergeant!

Lovely vignette, my favourite parts are the tree and the color mix on the ground on the right! Your photography is also excellent, although I think you could get rid of some glare in the pieces by using a darker backdrop (which is something I'm going to get soon as well). -
[SoNE Freebuild] Overhearings on Nar Eurbrikka

I love the landscaping outside the base, especially the sewage pipe and swamp! Looks quite non-toxic to me however, since the plants seem to thrive there...maybe all the waste of the Empire is not toxic- 19 replies

To enhance the impression of a tunnel entrance, maybe a wall of black bricks or a black panel could have been used btw? -
Good job making sure GoH was represented! Can't wait for those pics

Sure, I can almost guarentee that i will build some round tower or similar before graduating the DoH, not least because I've bought a few hinge plates too many not to use them But it would be fun to try some other tecnique as well, hmm... -

I agree, the trouble here is that all builds I have posted are already dismantled so if my claims are denied I have no other option than to retract. The first one I retracted was anyways not a valid claim, as I had missed the limit of 4 advance credits- 343 replies

Landscape design: flowers and dense foliage landscaping - definitely +1 The tree is a bit on the simple side, but as long as the other two tree designs you claim later are more elaborate I can give you +1 for this as well (I will check when you apply for the degree ) -
I think it's because of the lighting conditions I just assumed it was outdoors, I have to confess I did not read the story very thoroughly. The design elements are definitely worth +1 for interior design anyway, I just have to assume that plentiful sunlight is shining in through large windows

Even though this is not a "natural waterfall", it is definitely falling water. The only thing i don't fully like with the design is how calm the water is even close to where the falling water hits the still water, but the falling water is well done so I think you still earn a +1 for this. Just remember the physics next time that the energy in that falling water has to go somewhere

Sure, +1

AoM Farming Eagles Phase II: Transportation
Gideon replied to Infernum's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lovely build, I especially like the ground and the color scheme there! A word of advice: when using double-sided faces, try to either use a headgear which covers the back side of the head, or choosing photo angles to hide it, as it looks a bit weird when a fig has eyes in the neck -
Definitely +1 for Advanced SNOT (first out in the DoH program to actually do that ), just wondering a little if this is interior design (looks outdoor to me)? But maybe interior could be interpreted as courtyard etc and then it would be +1 from me as well of course!

Claiming UoP MoH credit for round wall design (as this is by far my best build in that sense). +1 if you agree, or a motivation if not. -
Sorry, missed that claim...of course that roof deserves a +1 as well!

Since the time limit rule seems to allow some flex, I will instead of the "Geography: Desert" claim in RTD Venom of a Red Scorpion (I will build many more desert builds, so there's no hurry there) would it be ok to apply for an advanced credit for "Architecture: Round walls and towers" for Inside Kaliphlin: Day 13 - The Fighting Pit of Mophet for the inverted round wall design there? (Otherwise I will apply for "Geography: Desert" for the Inside Kaliphlin: Day 5 - The Dune Sea) I apologize if anyone thinks I'm changing too much in my posts etc, but I'm trying out these things in practice now in the hopes of establishing standard ways to for example claim and retract claims- 343 replies

Collecting the Pieces - The Venom of a Red Scorpion
Gideon replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'm much more satisfied with the Dune Sea build, I just thought that one was too old for the program when I made the claims. Since the maximum age of a build used seems to be a bit flexible, I'll move the "Geography: Desert" claim to that one...and maybe really should move the "Landscape design: Sand dunes" claim as well But in the spirit of "establishing a standard of judging" I think that it is not critical that a builder with sufficient skills in one subject gets his/her absolute best build with that subject credited as long as the credited build is good enough, so for example if SK builds an even better waterfall in another build he does not need to move his claim to that one.- 23 replies
