  1. I will be buying multiple Elves. For the Wargs, Tan bricks and the Elven army for the Battle of 5 Armies, in the valley of Dale MOC that I have planned. :)
  2. The Lego designers have years of experience building Modular buildings so you should not go wrong by following their example. If you must have a flat "ceiling" , try making it three plates deep, that might stop the bending issue ??? Following your pictures this would be :- Layer 1 Layer 2 Layer 1
  3. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/qitah/FabulandHobbiton/fabuhobbiton3editeb_230114.jpg There are some lovely Ash Trees in this moc created by Gabe.
  4. Keep looking in the UK. Argos have been selling it at £49.99 usually one or two per store. They are beginning to run out now, as HukD'ers snap them up.
  5. Wow this is a lovely Modular building. Plenty of good building techniques and a great use of the new brick profile bricks.
  6. Very good MOC. :) I was hoping to do one of these myself someday. Unfortunately Shelob lives a long way from the Black Gate. But maybe one of her lesser spawn lives near the Black Gate in your cave? Maybe Torech Ungol and Cirith Ungol could be your next project?
  7. What a wonderful Dad..... :) Some great details in the stairways and Windows. Now you need some furniture to define the rooms as Kitchens, Bathrooms, Bedrooms and Living spaces. Maybe you can even sneak a Lego Man Cave into the attic space? :) :) :)
  8. A very good new Lego City. now I know just how much space I will need for my own City when I finally build it.
  9. http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Images_of_Lothl%C3%B3rien?file=Caras_Galadhon_02.jpg It has to be Lothlorien. For the Yellow leaf pieces and the light tan Arches and bricks for the branches. And of course the Galadhrim minifigs, Elven buildings and walkways attached to the Tree trunks.
  10. Very good mash up and modification of the sets. :) I think I would try to raise the height of the ground floor to make it match the larger Ambulance. I may do something similar, although my hospital may have a Victorian style section, more like the current Modular buildings.
  11. My only problem with this build is that it is open at the back. I would have to double up the front of the building or add a back wall to create a whole Cinema. :) Apart from that this is a wonderful MOC full of detail, design and interesting build techniques..
  12. http://w11.zetaboard...UG_Notts/index/ Anyone from Derby or Notts and the East Midlands are welcome come and take a look.
  13. Great building, rocks and vegetation. :) WoW.
  14. I would be surprised to see a Friends train this soon. Trains, particularly model trains are very gender oriented to boys. Maybe a Friends airport with some of the girl minidolls as pilots/airhostesses, with one boy/man minidoll. Then some of the minidolls flying off on a holiday. :) Although a bus station might be needed too. :)
  15. I like your use of the Friends Dolls as mannequin. I would have thought about that eventually. :) A good MOC.
  16. Excellent MOC. Love the buildings and the army is just big enough to be impressive.
  17. Your Camera should have a macro setting for close up detail pictures. Combine it with a tripod and you should get some better interior shots. I like what you have done with the cafe interior. :)
  18. That really is amazing!!! So close to the original, I almost thought it was a photo. This should go onto CUUSOO or be proposed as an Architecture project. BUt at 4305 pieces this would be Tower Bridge expensive.
  19. There are also gold fish statues from various sets. Including http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7985-1
  20. Very good building techniques all over this building, windows, stairs and roof. A good colour combination too. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4045/5121842218_24d2aa0bf5_z.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.flickr.com/photos/katy_bp/5121842218/&h=640&w=480&sz=263&tbnid=AKhzzXdEDGMJQM:&tbnh=97&tbnw=73&zoom=1&usg=__MCON8CbluZrwAAwvhKZVRPkWoYQ=&docid=zuT2lUvxd38F_M&sa=X&ei=OfbVUcqqHqHE0QX8y4HIBQ&ved=0CEUQ9QEwAg&dur=486 It is not quite the same but olive green is the closest we have except for 4842-1: Hogwarts Castle
  21. I have taken a look at a few Clone brands and a few have some quality sets. For me the only one that comes close to Lego for all round quality are the Character Building sets from COBI. However they have some larger pieces which look and feel a lot like Mega Blocks pieces, which are a bit of a "fail" really. Kreo might come close to Lego in the future, but just now there is something that just does not seem right about Kreo. Maybe they need some other real life product lines to really compete with Lego. Since we have the Hoover analogy, I think Lego will be happy to be the "Hoover" of brick toys, but I hope they also become/remain the "Dyson". :)
  22. I agree ^ the interiors are great. Lack of outside space always seems to be a problem in Lego Towns and Cities. I guess it comes down to the display space that most people have for their Lego. Redhead1982 you have done a good job within those limits..
  23. Call me crazy but I would have gone for an even bigger build. With Two fold out sections, one section hinged on each side of the front of the Asylum.. It would give even more scope for some Hydrotherapy, Cold therapy and Electrotherapy rooms along with more cell space for the villains. :)
  24. Very good engine for a large ship or train. Or maybe a large mining lorry or dragline excavator.
  25. That is a useful tree http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=83190
