  1. Here is a new guide to tree trunk building. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=53197&view=findpost&p=1314481
  2. Well I want to see Glorfindel. The elf who never was, if you follow the film:.... He sets Frodo on his horse, Asfaloth, and Frodo rides ahead to the other side of the Ford of Bruinen, where he defies his pursuers. He is nearly captured, but Glorfindel, Strider and Frodo's hobbit companions come from behind and drive the Nazgûl into the water, where they are swept away by a wave of water resembling charging horses (an enchantment of Elrond's and Gandalf's). Strider and the hobbits bear torches, but Glorfindel reveals himself as a mighty Elf-lord terrible in his wrath; Frodo sees him as a shining figure.[7] I would like to see him on a light brick base so that we can light him up in his wrath. and to be a bit more geeky: Later, when Frodo asks about the safety of Imladris from Sauron's forces, Gandalf explains: In Rivendell there live still some of his chief foes: the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power.[8] Gandalf points to Glorfindel as one of these, saying he is "one of the mighty of the Firstborn," "an Elf-lord of a house of princes." While enjoying the hospitality of the Elves, Frodo finds that his Wizard friend spoke true: Frodo looked at them in wonder, for he had never before seen Elrond, of whom so many tales spoke; and as they sat upon his right hand and his left, Glorfindel, and even Gandalf, whom he thought he knew so well, were revealed as lords of dignity and power... Glorfindel was tall and straight; his hair was of shining gold, his face fair and young and fearless and full of joy; his eyes were bright and keen, and his voice like music; on his brow sat wisdom, and in his hand was strength.[8]
  3. Very good MOC's. Keep going you might even inspire some of the lego designers.
  4. A good little MOC. Maybe it should be a Hobbit market when you have the pieces?
  5. An impressive series of MOC's which could be built quite easily? if you have some of the older castle sets.
  6. Lego do not have this set 853373 listed in the UK. Is it USA specific? Or a fake?
  7. Although I do understand that Lego will be following the films. Maybe they could just use the bits of the films that match the books? There are hundreds if not thousands of possible scenes and battle packs that could be made.
  8. I love it. I'll definitely be getting this set. My precious'sss....
  9. This is more like a small emergency response building. A true hospital would be at least 6 times the size and the set price would match. I'll probably buy one or two of these and Modify it to a reasonable size to fit the Helicopter and the new £15 city Ambulance. The small 4 wide ambulance will probably convert into a fast response medic's car.
  10. A good moc with a few excellent furniture ideas. It might look better without the random tan bricks in the blue wall ? Personally I would also try and arrange the roof tiling in a more symmetrical pattern.
  11. Very nice. As a general rule I think we should stick to Lego parts for most trees. Although I made an exception for the Cuusoo trees because they are proposed designs, which may be Legoised. Of course Lego may produce yellow leaves at some point, so then your design would be great.
  12. I very good moc with great details.
  13. I have found a few interesting Trees to add to the first post. If anyone finds any new Trees please post a link here.
  14. I find myself liking these sets more and more. There are some really useful colours and bricks. I also like the new animals. Although the Rabbit is huge in comparison to the kitten and Puppy. :)
  15. 1) 28 Mechanic Entry (Build by dosto_tube) - 1 point 2) 27 Flamenco Dancer Entry (Build by Skafte) - 1 point 3) 24 Clockwork Robot Entry (Build by zenda) - 1 point and very good entries from everyone.
  16. Nothing Historical but a large pink brick box for £13 which should be about £25 so I am smiling. I'll use it for some MOC creations.
  17. I would like to see more trees with grey trunks so that is shame Jareth. I would also like to see some more tan coloured round bricks used to help expand the tree designs. Edit: Oops bad spelling.
  18. @ Jareth if you can get a better shot of your Giant tree I can list it.
  19. Although I probably would not have a place for the full Western Town in my diorama I would by a few of these sets. The mainly white building is my favorite although the Saloon can be modified into a restaurant. I like the interior furniture details and I especially like the chandeliers.
  20. All those Orcs and cavalry too... I think you need a few more archers to hold them off.
  21. A very good rabbit hole. I love the picnic scene.
  22. ^ Sorry I'm a bit slow gathering my links. Next time I will gather my info before posting a topic. At some point I will contribute my own method if I discover one that seems worthy.
  23. Having seen several ways to build Trees, I thought I would gather a few links together. If you want to help, just post a link or suggest new methods. If a new method is posted I will try to update the list as soon as possible : - https://www.flickr.c...lego_arboretum/ Lego Arboretum. a Flikr Stream created by : Many people Christmas Tree with santa and his helpers. created by : Apple Tree. created by : dugmence. 24. B5 only the best Sci-fi TV series of the last 20 years. I would love to see this proposed on Cuusoo. Although it probably wouldn't get through. Even if it did pass I doubt that Lego would produce it unless they lost the licence for Star Wars.
  25. Amazing that you can build this with lego. So teeny tiny it is brilliant.
