This is quite a wonderful Modular. Lots of great details. I would change the Floor plates from Grey to Tan or White to make it better. But with so much detail it would be quite expensive to buy from Lego.

Lego have already re-released the older Modulars. But they did it in micro format.with 10230 the Mini Modulars. A straight re-release of Green Grocer, Cafe Corner and Market Street makes no comercial sense just now. There are at least 5 Modulars that need making first. 1.Modular School 2.. Modular Hospital 3. Modular Police Precinct 4. Modular Library, although this could be replaced by a simple Tenement House 5. Modular Bakery or Butchers shop. With one of them being the 4th corner building. This would complete the the block of buildings to form a square. However like Star Wars X-wings etc and the City police station sets there might come a day when a new version of a Vegetable Market Streeet or a General Grocery store might make sense. We will have to wait and see.....

That Helms Deep layout is impressive. It must have taken a huge effort to get all those Uruk. I would have prefered the Elves to be replaced by the Rohirrim and Eorlingas who were really at the battle in the book.. Although I prefer the Winter Castle and village scene because it is possibly more creative, rather than reproductive. The Dolphins riding the bow wave of the yacht are a great little scene. A couple of the city buildings are also impressive. I also like the Skateboarding arena. The Star Wars Endor forest and landing pad are great..

An interesting use of clear panels. But it only really works for perfectly clear and still water ??? Maybe the tinted glass panels would look better ???

The Black Gate looks great. Unfortunately ...... I need at least 3 eagles. So i will need to wait for a 3 for 2 offer from Tesco, Toys R Us or Argos. LoL :)

Very good modular buildings. Just my thoughts, :- I guess these do fit into a town setting just like this https://encrypted-tb...IOAKI5MSguGQ1BA but the architect would probably try to make them much more similar? Although I think they are more likely in a suburban setting where two architects would produce similar styles.. Personally I think buildings of this grandeur would have larger gardens ??? I would probably make the back gardens with at least two extra 32x32 plates and and the side gardens with four 16x16 plates. Alternatively they might be built around a shared large garden. A bit like this. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&sa=X&biw=1366&bih=639&tbm=isch&tbnid=QfycmNLW7ZDjIM:&imgrefurl=http://www.leonkaye.co.uk/access-to-londons-garden-squares/&docid=pXzzQjXaZMMGJM&imgurl=http://www.leonkaye.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/garden-square1-200x200.jpg&w=200&h=200&ei=7uFQUfvWIKGg0QXDxYCgBg&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:5,s:0,i:97&iact=rc&dur=1057&page=1&tbnh=160&tbnw=157&start=0&ndsp=17&tx=79&ty=66

I hope Coke don't see this. They'll probably want royalties.... :) :) :) It is pretty good anyway.

Very impressive MOC. The Quadruple modular size gives plenty of room for details too. . I like the folding hangar door at the back.. :)

I still don't like the film version of the battle of the Hornberg. There should be no Elves present, except for Legolas.:)

There are some really good features in this MOC. I'll be using some of them in my own builds for sure.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Venunder replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Excellent updates. The whole build is wonderful. Approximately how many bricks have you used? -
This is probably not much help but:- There was a toy shop in Rome Cinecitta shopping arcade which had some lego a few years ago. I don't know if it is still there. Then there were some of the larger hypermarkets mentioned above, which had some lego sets. Prices varied even back then. There was also a much bigger toy shop near Junction 19-20 of the A90 ring road. I can't remember the name of that store but it seemed like it might be part of a national chain. Edit I never did make it to this store New! Little Big Town Via Cesare Battisti 120, Piazza Venezia but my finds were always accidental.

I had a trip to Vancouver and Vancouver Island 10 years ago. I had a very good time over there, so "Thanks to all the helpful Canadians I met". I have to admit I was not really looking for Lego at the time. LoL Come and visit Nottingham some time.... http://w11.zetaboards.com/LUG_Notts/index/

I think you may have the same problem as LUG Notts http://w11.zetaboards.com/LUG_Notts/index/ Very few people have looked for you and when they do look they have no idea where to look. :) Maybe Eurobricks could have a pinned topic called "Portal to other Lego Sites?"

Show them the latest great set that I purchased/built? Or ask them if they are also AFOL's, then show them the great set I just purchased/built. :)

Agreed..... But Lego will probably never produce a pub for the Winter Village. Can you produce a parts list and/or instruction guide for your pub?
-
Very good. I look forward to seeing the mine in full operation. :)
-
Excellent snot work and inventive use of unuaual peices. :) I think the tree is good, but looks a little bit too alien for the Winter Village.
-
Very good grocery/general store. Personally I would lose the truck from the build and use the bricks for some more detail in the roof area of the store.
-
A good modification and it looks like a good Main Station for a city. When I build my city I was going to use two of last yeas Fire Stations but now I might do something similar to your creation. :)
-
Awesome. :) I look forward to your next MOC.

Nice Xmas Tree. http://cdn.vanillaforums.com/brickset.vanillaforums.com/FileUpload/ba/c01771776c488b7d9fafbfed403bf1.jpg Another good Tree Trunk ...

A very nice Modular made from Friends sets. :) My only negative is that the blue next to the pink and red is just not good in my view..... Maybe white and purple on the second level would look better?
