  1. ...despite some similarities it is a great model
  2. you need company specialized in digital print and take your panel (e.g. 5 x 11 panel in light green) with you to them to make sticker that visually integrates with part on which will it go
  3. usually companies that deal with digital printing have a lots of different foils so you gave to go to them and take LEGO panel with you on which you want to put sticker to match color
  4. when you're talking about stickers - you have to find out which foil suites LEGO plastic best. I've tried to make Bluetec 6 and round Mercedes star with orange ring sticker, but turned out that it was difficult to match color. This can be very tricky so be patient and consider that color on display is not like real thing...
  5. I know. Question is only up to which level of openness will you go not to make yourself to complicated. From my pint of view just cover rear wheels and partly front part of car...
  6. then it is as closest to LEGO original philosophy when designing bigger Technic sets
  7. I see - to make smooth line and to show some of the mechanic below bodywork
  8. something like this? (uf 400th post - I have to blew a candle )
  9. then it could look like this (just an old example). I'm a bit different person - want to make as covered as possible with some characteristic functions of model. Important is to stand behind your decision
  10. I told you in the past that I'll keep an eye on this project and must say great effort for this project. Usually big projects give big responsibilities and you shown that you are responsible with such level of perfection
  11. I agree red is used to often - my intension with images was dealing with shape. The same problem I have very often - example for Unimog I've spent 2-2.5 years searching proper orange parts (and 3 years for wheels in which I can implement small portal hubs). Purple color from 42069 set would be very interesting IMHO anyway...or some lime green What I don't like (in general) are holes in bodywork but always want to built technic model (generally they're lighter) and not model team model...despite some creations on Scale modeling subforum are great.
  12. Doug this thing ended huge!!! And now you can say Gentleman start your engines
  13. Please correct topics name from [GBC] The GBC at Brickvention Autralia to [GBC] The GBC at Brickvention Australia
  14. that would be very interesting usage of thin cylinder. Perhaps you give me some idea how to integrate it inside boom to make it look like real one
  15. it looks at the first sight like fuselage and wings are inspired by Hellcat
  16. I always try to make things as simple as possible, and hope to "document" latest progress asap - gearbox is finished, but need some tweaking to make front, rear pto and actuator for tilting bed work as smooth as possible. It would not be pneumatic model, for pneumatics I plan another model - that is a future surprise thank you for your compliment
  17. Thai is also a good idea when sorting, depending on parts count in particular color I use boxes in different sizes. Only my sorting is smaller, because my terrier must sniff every brick My wife has 3 pairs for winter, two pairs of sport shoes two pairs for summer and two pairs for rainy part of spring and autumn (lucky for me in Croatia clime is not so cold as in Canada)...anyway yesterday she bought me 42057 set but sorting is something what I do when I finish a project...
  18. based on small amount of parts used solution is very cool. My only complain (more to LEGO than you) is that not all can be in the same color perhaps in orange or purple or at least yellow - to demonstrate dynamic
  19. Wow very nice little excavator with maximal features included in this small size...even pneumatic hoses look very big compared to model
  20. each color in separate container and my wife says that LEGO takes more space that her shoes
  21. some futuristic bodywork will suit better to name Plasma IMHO ...something inspired with this or this
  22. About Unimog progress; gearbox is 75% finished, but I need to optimize some things and make whole gearbox complex more sturdy, simple and first of all to fit in available space. When we talk about simplicity I've made some changes - there is one driving ring with two state - one for front and end pto and one for tilting platform... Photos will be made asap
