  1. That one is really cool like direct from Universal studios. I really like simplicity, good balanced battery and e-motor placement, but what is most pleasant is rear shock absorber - one of my favorite LEGO Technic parts (only I have yellow ones).
  2. Very nice "tracked" family, now make all yellow and black versions as example
  3. 2.5L Axle is something that could be very useful for years; e.g. to make narrower driven and steered axle like this (just an example), to connect universal joint with CV joint etc...something desired long long ago...I only regret that LEGO did not make this ling of axle so far
  4. it is logical response to topic...
  5. A the beginning of "Technic" era we all started to "redesign" parts, or at least plan to "redesign" them with sometimes less success, but more often without success...specially when small gears got broken and then glued to axle and then broken again etc - you know from your experience (with some musical backup based on Sun and Beach...you know the details). So no need to ask for forgiveness, you should look at this as some kind of creativity and every beginning is difficult
  6. Now when I look in other browser, I see it (3 x 5 bent liftarms...). At first I saw only video inside frame but could not start it to see whole thing and construction that I saw was very interesting IMHO. Now all makes sense because it is not common (from you) to make unfinished business Very sorry for misunderstanding, completely my fault.
  7. Nice, what kind of cab do you plan?
  8. take a look on pictures and calculate by counting studs. then you'll get confirmation that they are the same width
  9. When I saw a Topic at the first I thought something like this but then I say 62.4 tires and V2 engine - with all respect a bit unexpected (for me)
  10. Very nice MOC. I thing white one is cooler
  11. Nice small MOC, but as it was already said it would be better (IMHO perfect) in yellow
  12. Welcome to Eurobricks. For a first (publish) model - great work and great introduction
  13. and perhaps you have air tank to help you to "store" air and use it when needed - for example bed tilting, or crane or whatever you want to make to make great LEGO representation of real truck system...hm. only truck uses air for suspension and hydraulic liquid (oil) for other systems...
  14. I understand, it is not so easy to implement with LEGO parts...I saw a model with tire turned inside out to act like "air spring" but could not be used with compressor. If you want to use it with compressor then I suggest use pneumatic cylinders
  15. they have system like this, when driver powers on the truck ignition key starts air compressor that pumps air in "air spring" like this one and it is places in suspension like this ...so when air is pumped in it raises suspension and when air is sucked out of "air spring" when truck is turned off and lowers suspension... Hope i is helpfull
  16. Very nice progress and to sound like @Aventador2004: keep building and never give up
  17. indeed because truck have (mostly kind of air cushion - when drivers turns of the truck it lowers suspension and vice versa) and for models based on Unimog tire they will be well proportioned (they are to big in comparison to 62.4 X 20 tires used on Arocs).
  18. Dear topic's readers, after several days of brainstorming and surfing through Internet I've found that biggest tires on Unimog with street pattern are Mitas MPT-23 375/75R22,5 with exactly 1163 mm in diameter and that I need tire with some 65mm overall diameter. As you can remember at the start of this project I was using 62,4 tire on 32004a rim (which is basically rim for 68.8 x 24 tire) and tires were deformed after a while under Unimog weight. The reason for this state was that due to bigger rim diameter tires were actually 65mm in diameter and not 62.4, so I have to find out how to make tire profile to look appropriate. Solution is in pictures below... Next thing is to redesign Unimog - Cab and gearbox to make proper proportions because now when suspension is completely compressed there is about 1 - 1.5 space between mudguard and tire. I'll upload images of redesign asap. At least from tire's point of view now I have all that I need to make proper 1:17,5 models Guys just enjoy the rest of weekend
  19. Very massive model and it looks so realistic with so nice details and sticker combination. My models look puny in comparison with this "monster".
  20. ...and easier to maintain. Very nice model. At the first I thought that you made with Unimog tires, but then I realized that they are 62.4 Tires used for smaller model. Nice change with all super and hypercar models is to have model that is more "down to Earth"
  21. It looks very cool and with such number of details; really good. Like we were back in the past where things were simpler than today (talking about cars)
  22. This way it could be used for other trucks (not for Unimog) and is great refreshment in LEGO world to see something like this. The only complain is that I did not make it so when creating my MOCs I'll have to think to make something else.
  23. Very impressive leaf spring suspension Nice detailed engine - great display model...
  24. That is a big model, and it is logical to use motors on such model. Manual functions were to heavy to operate. Very impressive, it looks like you have used two 42009 sets for it
