  1. Sometimes my vocabulary is to "rich" for Internet forums or similar public places
  2. Enjoy your build
  3. ...and you can use 4 of these https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3707#T=C
  4. @Aventador2004 was faster than, me so I thank him for assistance. Kitschy can also be described as something made without taste or good look, but beauty was always in the eye of beholder. One example - most of modern Hyper-cars are in my eyes Kitschy, but super-cars from 50s or 60s are nice in my eyes. No one needs to agree with me but here is an off-topic example modern hyper car: Aston Martin Valkyrie and Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato... Back to topic: The same is IMHO with off-roaders - boxy massive and robust look is better IMHO that stylish new "off-roaders", actually cross-overs that are station wagons with bigger wheels and inch or two wider mudguards
  5. XK 120 (120 for 120mph top speed) is my favorite Jag. To see something like it built in LEGO is something that is very rare because LEGO parts are not exactly made for smooth and elegant lines of this classic, so I take my hat of for effort snd for achievement. There are some not even surfaces but I could not make it better
  6. I would use remotelly control in both winches and left fifth wheel manually
  7. Nice creation. My suggestion is to wrote down main characteristic of real truck and real truck dimensions. Also pictures of real truck are desirable for comparisson
  8. So tires on real machine are Michelin 24R21 (typical industry and military tires with some 1420mm overall diameter) and chassis should be as you said 19 studs wide
  9. Michael, you're not the only one who likes modular things. My problem is that I'm to much purist, and third party parts are to expensive for me, so one things are my desires, and another is what is possible complete with LEGO parts. It looks nice. Perhaps I have miss-red previous posts, but can you tell me which is the M.A.N. scale ?
  10. I like old-school and boxy look. Perhaps grill needs a bit more work, but it is very difficult to say so far in advance because every design is actually compromise, to much details and whole creations will look to kitschy.
  11. It looks OK. With time you'll see if you need to make some things more stiff, redesign depending on steering angle of the wheel etc...
  12. @Krisha first of all welcome to Eurobricks. Golden rule when building your creations is as @aminnich said to start with tires. Tell us which tires you have available so we could help you
  13. Interesting project Michael. It looks like you like military trucks (especially M.A.N.). Pitty that LEGO does not produce such tires
  14. Hi @Mirco Hussmann, modification is not bad, but I have one suggestion (at least for future). Please use bricksafe.com or similar picture hosting servers to post a link of image that is not bigger than 1024 px here on forum. In that case pictures will appear here so we do not have to browse outside forum to see them.
  15. I was writing from my experience. Sometimes when I try to explain something without picture I need more time to make understandable description...now back to topic. Yacht is interesting, it has good illustration of how "sailing" works
  16. Or you spent 5 hours on describing your point
  17. Progress of your moc is remarkable
  18. Wow this monster is big. You should make a video starting with famous words from legendary race 500 miles from Indianapolis: Gentleman start your engines
