Kinda strange really... I didn't care much for the potential of a beetle being released again... but knowing *potentially* it could be Herbie, I'm suddenly interested... although just hopefully not with those eyes where the headlights should be. Herbie never had eyes... But then I grew up watching Herbie with my grandparents so I kind of have a link to preferring it to be a Herbie...

Hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing While not a minecraft/MC Lego fan, I think it seems pretty decent for those that are fans of it. If slightly overpriced though.

[MOC] Light Armored Squid Attack Fighter
Fuppylodders replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I hope you never work for TLG. In the nicest way possible! If you did, we would see less and less of these awesome and unique designs. Your creations always have such an organic 'feel' to them that isn't often achieved. And this one is no different! -
I have no kids. But being a kid once, from my personal view, it doesn't matter too much when a load of random people say good things about it, it still won't matter as on the day, the sister won again and she didn't. That is what is going to be fresh in her heart. For all she tries, kids do get a sense of 'winning mostly means more than the taking part', as to be honest, most of the time, it does, that's the harsh reality. This might not be your view, and again, I'm speaking from not having children, just from being one at some point, if I was the winning sister, I'd pass on the next competition, and put all my effort into helping my sister do her best, and I'd be there as 100% support. That would mean more to me than winning. Having the support rather than feeling *again, again* I'm overshadowed. As for the creation itself, all the stuff is right there to make a great moc. The flower department, the cake department, the strawberry jam on the shelves, the till, the fruit and veg, the cute little icecream freezer etc. and for a 7 year old, that's flipping good stuff there. It's impressive how a 7 year old can do such a nice building when all I did was make big blocky rainbow dump trucks when I was that age, with 2x4's The interior is sorted. Work with her on the exterior. Perhaps for next year, if possible, make it smaller. The content is great, the amount of area to put it in is sparse and detracts from the interior in a manner of speaking. It also means less time/bricks to focus on the exterior, which (again, I understand a 7 year old did this) could make the difference next time. She certainly understands how to do the interior content very well, and if I was a lego minifig looking in her cake window display, I'd be right in there buying some to stuff myself with I hope she enters again next year.

I was looking over the old exploriens/spyrius/blacktron 2/ space police 2 sets, I'm gutted they're not doing them because they were raw space ships/vehicles. I absolutely loved them. I had so much fun with them when I was young, my imagination took those ships and vehicles everywhere! I just feel sorry for the children nowadays having their imagination guided for them by themed sets like Star Wars already having some sort of pre written background, and not enjoying the completely fresh new spaceship designs those old CS things brought to us :( Sure there is Nexo knights, but I just don't think it scratches that pure space theme itch. It just feels like its too 'actiony'...?

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I wonder how many people will be swayed to buy a lego set purely because it is in *that* packaging, whereas it might not look as enticing if it was in a not as good packaging because the set is deemed as mediocre or boring etc -
I dont know how you can say the design of the F40 gives you nightmares it was that bad? I understand it's just your opinion, and while the length may appear somewhat slightly short, for the scale if it, it is an excellent representation of the F40, the build is solid, has a lot of detail and amazing build techniques, not to mention designed by a truly skilled lego builder...

So, whether this is true or not... anyone know when the Ferrari might be retiring? I was hoping to wait until April the 25th when I get paid... but I don't want to miss out on that set! Also, seems interesting, as wasn't there a beetle done before? I'd have thought they'd do some other car before revisiting the beetle again... unless that was an April fools joke?

Reassembling a Large LEGO Lot (LLL)!

Start with the HH!! -
OK, so.... I am totally in awe of this amazing moc!! You have pulled of such a beautiful looking spaceship with an amazingly detailed interior, lots of features which is something I love with spaceships, and it also looks very elegant too. Where will these comic stories be found? I don't normally go for this sort of thing, but the setting already looks amazing, I am quite eager to follow it!

If it is the same mould as the previous version (which it looks like it is) then no, they are fixed like that.- 4,155 replies

Id say they've done really good with the animated characters with moulded heads. They don't look out of proportion at all (like the Simpsons) and in general, they all look quite decent, especially Maleficent and Ursula!- 4,155 replies

I'm pretty sure you have enough posts to know how simply posting an Ideas submission and not discussing it as a moc goes on here...?

I actually really like the original, although I do like the little command module (?) that fits in the rear of the updated version. It is a nice slender and sleek little ship, with decent shaping. Nice job!

Can Any one help me mod my 8098 Clone Turbo Tank (Clone Wars)
Fuppylodders replied to shrak's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You have asked such a vague question that literally no one can actually answer. No one knows what spare bits you have, what level of modifying you wish to do to it, and what sort of mods you wish to achieve. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm just kind of surprised they didn't fix the issue of the wings not mating together properly with the blue and grey X-wing. I mean, it's not like they needed a year in advance for designing it, it's essentially the same so they ckearly had plenty of time, after the criticism about it... -
Bricklinking a 75059 Sandcrawler without the play features
Fuppylodders replied to General Magma's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Download the LDD file for it (If anyone has done one yet, it should be on this site if it has been) and then simply delete the parts that you see as play features, upload the lxf file to a bricklink wanted list and you should get an idea -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While I do agree with you on the most part, I really can't see them making it *much* bigger, just potentially slightly bigger. As I said before, it is already big and bulky in size. To make it much bigger, that would mean probably adding at least another 1000 pieces (£350?! Not out of bounds for possibility...), as id guesstimate 500 just wouldnt cut it after their whole 'shrink the previous version/increase piece count' thing they do and then making it bigger even moreso... Eh... I guess I'm just left feeling skeptical after the huge let down of the 'UCS' Hoth set... -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The DS is already a massive set in itself. One could reasonably assume, without Just2Good's comment, that there would also be 'No way' that they would improve on its size as it is already a large ball of a playset as it is. So simply saying there is no way that they could make the Snowspeeder bigger is illogical. At some point, there was 'no way' they'd EVER remake a UCS set. Oh look... X-Wing... That is why 'no way' can't really simply be used. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Then be prepared for a set over £300. Because bigger and better for that most definitely means more pieces and an increase in price. Especially with the way TLG have managed to increase piece count of previously made sets while actually making them smaller and cost more.... -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Why would you want to make a bigger snowspeeder? Why would you want to make a bigger Death Star? Both were already big enough. Both are previously done sets. That statement confirms nothing of which set they are on about as it can easily apply to both. -
Definitely an improvement (I tried something like this but with hinge bricks, it took forever just to get everything connected!) and along the right track!

Haha, its actually quite cute, and has amazing poseability, I really like it! It's soooo Benny
