  1. Here's a link to US S@H. In a way, it's a nice to set which sets should be prioritized to buy before being discountinues, but on the other hand, there could be a problem with resellers buying many extra sets, and selling them later for a much higher price.
  2. What I meant is that if I come by car, I'll have to drive to Gunzburg alone (about 6 hours drive or similar - and that's the critical point of the trip, next to the money issue). Would be nice to have someone to chat with me on the long drive. The short one from Gunzburg to Munich will be a piece of cake in that respect. I can get a return train ticket to Munich for 60 EUR, and the petrol cost to Gunzburg with all the fees is around 100 EUR one way. :-( At the moment, I'm more into train, but we'll see...
  3. I'm not sure yet on transportation. I'm considering either going by car (much more expensive for one person, but has more luggage space) or by train (cheaper, comfortable with almost no worries of falling asleep behind a wheel). It would be great if someone would join me for the car trip to Munich... When should that be finalised?
  4. Hi, everyone. I'm a newbie as far as EB events go, but I want to join you, so here I am. Count me in! Well, I'll get there on my own, so sharing a room would be great. Maybe Peppermint M, can I be your roomate?
  5. This is nice layout. I haven't seen anything like this before (no such size Fabuland scene). My favourite is the yellow submarine (wonder why it reminds me of great band).
  6. This sounds promising to me. And if there were no panels, it would be even better. Probably it's too far ahead to expect (leaked) photos.
  7. You should go for it, while it's possible to get it. I got another copy of it in the summer with a small discount, and the set really grows on you. It's got great parts, for both medieval and town.
  8. I commented on Flickr, and I have to say it here again - it's a grey beauty! It looks fantastic as a 16-wide, has a very interestingly detailed facade, simple but effective interiors for a psychiatrist's office, and a back-side as all modulars - modest, but with an interesting tree design, it looks different, and in a good way. I'm really looking forward seeing more modulars from you. P.S. Do you happen to have all three of them built? It would be great to seem them together on a street.
  9. Interesting technique and thanks for sharing. Since I don't have any bricks like that I'm unlikely to try it, but it's nice to see a build from more unusual bricks.
  10. Nice and simple design, it looks very style-y, I really like the details on both the front and back.
  11. I agree with Dino, the pattern looks too regular. I'd try also with alternating 1x2 and 1x3 bricks, or maybe even better (but very parts consuming) use of small plates (1x1, 1x2, 1x3) in various reds/dark orange/dark tan colours. There are some MOCs with that style, including mine or Wooootles's. If you plan in LDD, bricks are not a limit, but if you plan on making it with bricks eventually, a nice design is also the facade on Fire Brigade modular building.
  12. Incredible design. It works really well, and despite the facade mainly in white, it looks very interesting and full of details. Great job.
  13. Simply fantastic! Well done.
  14. As I'm gaining more interest in Castle/Kingdoms themes lately, a new Castle theme sounds great. However, i'm more into civilian scenes and buildings, so some nicely detailed castles and houses would be great.
  15. Great work! The amount of details gives life to the creation. The elephant slide is my favourite. Good luck at the contest.
  16. Nice design of the scene with an avalanche, however, my favourite is the tree on the left.
  17. I think it's fine with the amount of masonry brick you have so far, but I'd try not to include so many of them in the next level. I see the masonry bricks as some sort of 'stone work' which is common in some buildings, that have higher floors without it (more like a clean looking front). But it's up to you.
  18. The colour scheme on the front and combination of 'brick' bricks really looks fantastic.
  19. You were lucky getting two Creator houses for a good price... ...however, in comparison to the first Creator houses, these are a bit small. I've been thinking about how nice it would be to have another Family Home, and that I should get one while it was still possible. So, yesterday, I was shocked to actually find a box (with some slight damage) for 54 EUR.
  20. What a sight! This truly is a great winter scene. There's too many details too point out. The ones that caught my eye first are all the skiers with colourfull skies, the iceskaters, the winter train, and the houses.LEGO did a great job introducing some of the winter sports. Also the snowy terain for skiing is well done, I just wonder how are the figs attached. But then there are more hidden details (at least from the pictures), like the 'person' flying in on the sleds (a really nice touch ).
  21. This is perfect. The colour combination is great - with emphasize on medium blue and gold and some nice calm of browns. The roof design is great with different browns in two levels. By the way, does Santa fit in the chimney?
  22. Lucky you! I'd like those as well...
  23. So what are these secret parts? Can anything about them be revealed? Secretly on the forum... You have an interesting job.
  24. I was lucky enough to get Green Grocer, but I missed on Cafe Corner. I did a CC later, after getting all the bricks on Bricklink (my collection was limited at that time), and it was something less than 300 EUR with no colour changing. I did the same for Market Street, but changed some bricks (from 1x8 to two 1x4s). If you want Green Grocer, getting extra sand green would be great (there's a nice collection of it in Haunted house), as they seem to be the most expensive ones. And buying a set from BL brick by brick can be equally expensive as getting a used one, but you can buy a limited amount of bricks each week/month and not pay a huge amount all at once. I did it like that for Cafe Corner, and at the moment I had all the bricks collected in the box, I was the happiest (adult) child in the world.
  25. I took a trip to Munich, and I treated myself to a one Haunted House, one Winter Village Cottage and PAB cups (3 big and 1 small). It was a pretty good day, despite starting the trip at midnight and getting back home at 7 in the evening with hardly any sleep.
