  1. Fantastic work and very well detailed. The five-sided roof of the tower looks great!
  2. Well done. There are some nice details in the building. Overall, dark blue colour fits in nicely. The furnished interiors look great and give an impression of a cosy place with a huge tv set. One of the details that caught my eye, is the flower bed with the bench in front of the water fountain.
  3. A bit late, but my vote goes to 5. DarkDragon - 3 points.
  4. It looks amazingly beautiful! I only have the red passenger train, but this one looks fantastic enough to seriously consider buying (and playing with it). There's so many amazing details of the interiors as well as exteriors (SNOTing is fantastic). And this being a part of a 'new' Creator line is equally impressive, as the train seems to be build with 'regular' bricks instead of some huge (ugly) pieces. I'm definitely looking forward to the release date and a review here on EB.
  5. Great entries all around and congratulations to the winners. Hopefully, the Summer of Friends's spirit will continue in these cold autumn days.
  6. Might be out of topic, but hopefully not. I'll be in Athens, and I found a LEGO store there in Ermou Street. I'm guessing it's a mono-brand store (similar to what is 'to be' opening in Budapest). My question here is, what kind of selection of sets/bricks can be expected there? If any Greek here can help, I'd be very happy.
  7. Whenever I was in Copenhagen, I checked the PaB wall for some goodies - it actually depends a lot on what you build and hence what you're looking for. Price-wise, there might be some 'sales' with partly discounted LEGO, but it's not something I've seen regularly there (I remember some sales from late July/early August in Bilka supermarket). As for Bricklink I can't help, as I've never made an order from DK. Since you're much closer to Germany than Denmark, I'd strongly suggest you try to plan a visit to Munich's LEGO store instead. There's a direct train there from Belgrade, and if you plan it as a 2-3 day trip, you could make it to Gunzburg Legoland as well. German prices are 'friendlier' than Danish, and in Gunzburg there is a great selection of bricks (although pricier than in LEGO store). Hope this is at least a bit helpful.
  8. Great work! I'm not so fond of the dragon eating up the princess for breakfast, but it's still an amazing MOC. The dragon is nicely detailed, and appart from its head, doesn't look so scary. A nice detail is princess's dress all 'curled' up around her.
  9. Well, the new dalmatian will help - it's 'probably' the same mold with printed dots (no stickers luckily ). Adding dogs from Friends's sets, one can have a nice selection of various breeds. Since this was sort of 'out of topic' comment, let me add that the dalmatian dog will (imo) be the best part of the 2013 Firemen.
  10. This actually looks really great. You managed well turning the haunted house into a 16-wide modular. It looks neat with the detailing on the front facade. Well done!
  11. The swamp looks great. The effect of trans-green tiles on black, green and lime looks amazing and creates some of the swamp colours. Also the duck is a great design. Good luck in the contest!
  12. Nice work! Landscape and the ruins look really realistic. The river and its stony banks look great, specially from the bridge. Do you plan to do this with real bricks? It would be great to see it.
  13. Thanks for a nice review. I'm one of those who find no interest at all in the mining theme, so it's hard to relate to any of the structure/models in the set to comment. As a parts pack, again, I don't see much use from the set. Being more of a house-builder myself, not much could be used straight forward. Nevertheless, not everyone has to have the same interest in themes, so this review is a nice way to show the good aspects of the set/theme.
  14. Thanks, Pandora! I got mine today and was very excited to open it. But then my boyfriend (who picked up my mail) said, he opened it as he 'didn't' know about the contents of the mail (he thought it was one my secret BL orders ). He was surprised to see the extras, whereas I, on the other hand, liked them instantly (the light bluish purse/bag was on my wanted list!). Lucky for me, he's not into Friends, so I get a bunch of new little extras. Once again, thanks for the raffle prize and organizing the Summer of Friends!
  15. Thanks for a great review! I always find it interesting how reading a review can changes ones mind on buying the set. I liked this one from the first photos, and I still like it today. Due to the price, I started thinking of not getting the set. However, after going through the review, it's still high above on the wish list. The pro's are definitely 'tons' of bricks in sand green, the 'wooden' tiles, the 'brick' bricks, etc. Selection of bricks looks of great value, the set itself offers a chance of modification to either modular or to an earlier version of the house (the nice one) before it became haunted. I'm not so much into play, and in this respect, I don't find much interest in the minifigs, although they fit to the house nicely. All in all, it's a nice design to build, and a great selection of bricks for MOCers.
  16. I share an opinion on licensed themes with many. As for the main thing, I don't like the fleshies (and the price). On the other hand, this subject is not so black&white. What I do like is a new theme being introduced, bringing along new bricks/molds/pieces. What I don't like is the licensed figures, as they are a specific someone, but not a 'standard John/Jane Doe' as in other sets. Star Wars are unknown to me, but seeing some HP, LOTR or POTC, I can relay to those sets, but until LOTR I never had a wish for actually buying them. As for LOTR, I got two sets, and offered the fleshies on BL.

  21. I missed this one as I was away on holiday. I have to say Marie's office looks great. And since she doesn't have many boxes of bricks, I'm guessing the business is doing fine. I just can't seem to find her store on Bricklink.
  22. I was in Gunzburg this May, and in respect to the price, it is on the more expensive side. However, I managed to 'save' some money, as I did a bit of a research before hand. Think of what you want, check the weight of the bricks and calculate how many bricks weigh 100 g. In general, the smaller the brick, the more you 'fit in' the 100 g. And the rarer (the expensier) the brick is the better. I made the calculations for my shoping list in Gunzburg afterwards. Considering the quantities I got and the average price for that amount on Bricklink, I 'saved' around 250 EUR. But then I was also lucky to get sand green and dark orange. In short, my advice is to think of what you want, of the colours, and quantities, then check the price and weight on BL, and hope to find something you want in Billund.
  23. I agree completely. It's an amazing creation!
  24. I guess I missed the information on EB Gunzburg Legoland get together, but this really sounds great. As Gunzburg is the closest, I really hope to be able to make it and meet the MOCers from EB. So are the dates known?
  25. The jellyfish is the most outstanding pet I could think of! Great idea for the MOC and even better design of the 'pet'.
