  1. I'm not familiar with nano blocks, so this scene looked a bit out of place scale-wise. I couldn't figure out the size of it, there are some regular bricks, and the minifigure obviously has growth hormones for breakfast regularly. The mini animal models looks great.
  2. Thanks for sharing this! It's great. It answers the most important question - what's inside a red brick. The mini city and landscape inside are amazing.
  3. Blue Wren, welcome to the forum! Your mini modular looks great. Pink goes well with the greys, and I think your mini design looks much better in pink than a classic size modular would. I'm looking forward seeing more 'minis' from you!
  4. Another great design from you, Castor! The colour combinations is great, I like the way the floors are separated by function and colour. Also, the 'brick' effect with plates is great and adds a nice detail to the front.

    New Town

Both yellow houses look simple as the ones in Skagen. You should really make more of them, and maybe try to build some at various angles to have more variety in composition.
  6. It looks great. The combination of old and new greys works well! Well done!
  7. Great MOC! My favourite is the tall rounded black window design!
  8. Great cabin. The lanscape looks nice with the trees around and patches of snow.
  9. Fantastic work! I've seen the building few years ago in Malmo, and it looks amazing. You did a great job with it, and the lightning emphasizes the build perfectly.
  10. Thanks for great comments, everyone! I used this as an opportunity to learn some new techniques, and doing landscape is great for that. It was our first time building together, and Redbeard hasn't build much up till now (he usually comments and improves my MOCs with some extra detailing). I'm quite happy with the results of our collaboration. See you on the weekend! I agree, the Joust set is perfect as a starting point. That's where we started and the rest developed with time.
  11. It's getting better. Now I see why so many colours were included in the first building steps. The use of Toy Story bear is a nice touch.
  12. This time I'm presenting myour latest creation, built together with my boyfriend. Since the two of us own 2 copies of Kingdoms Joust set (10223), we decided to build a medieval diorama based around the Joust set. Diorama is based on 3x5 baseplates (32x32) and is going to be presented this weekend at KockeFest (Slovenian LUG's exhibition in Ljubljana). One of the residents is returning to the inner part of the village with horse-driven cart, passing the guards. Outside the gates there are pastures on one side of the road, and some trees surrounding a small lake on the other side. At the lake, fisherman is catching his lunch. Behind the gates, people gathered to observe the jousting of knights. There's a special place for two royal families and nobility on one side of the jousting field, and the commoners are standing on the other side. At the end of the jousting field are pavilions where the knights can prepare for their turn at the jousting field. Behind the jousting field, stands the castle, surrounded by a ditch. The castle is accessible via drawbridge, that can be lifted by turning the wheel at the roof of the middle tower. At one of the corner towers, another guard is joining his colleagues at the top. Behind the castle wall, there's a courtyard, where some of the guards are enjoying a meal and drinks, and the others are moving a chest to a different location. The castle was deliberately build incomplete (with one side only) and is likely to be extended in the future. Besides, the castle is modular to allow access to the interiors, which is partly furnished (but not yet photographed). More pictures at higher resolution can be found at my Flickr account.
  13. Great work! Looks simple, but it's nicely detailed and lively with colours - the flowers are a nice touch.
  14. My votes go to 7. Krystel - 2 points 18. CorneliusMurdock - 1 point.
  15. The staircase looks great. You're sort of brave to buy so many LEGO games, I have no idea how to include all those microfigs. They're giving a very colourful vibe to the building, that I'm not sure yet if I'll like it. Let's wait to see it finished. Meanwhile, enjoy the building.
  16. Same as usual, great work! You caught the moment nicely, and your architecture is simply amazing.
  17. Very impressive MOC! The half ruined walls look great. Well done.
  18. Kristel, you did a great job with this creation. Haunted house by itself looks very promising for modifications into a more ''new'' town building, and yours looks great as a 16-wide. I can't wait to get my copy of the set.
  19. Thanks, Ferrik. It works now.
  20. My vote goes to 79003 An Unexpected Gathering - ''Bag End'' - and mainly for the parts, as I'm likely to sell the minifigures. As for the other, I'd like to see inventories first, and then decide whether or not to buy them. But I do like the redish brown leaves and new mushrooms. I'm loved Hobbit and LOTR books, but am not so fond of the LEGO version, except for some new parts. As for the poll, I can't vote - there's an error saying I have to answer both questions, and also the results are not representative (1 vote from 35 voters).
  21. Thanks for the review of this nice set. I'm really looking forward of getting one myself. I like the selection of minifigures with interesting winter torsos. Also, the cottage has more details inside which is the reason for higher piece count (and price), but has also some nice designs, such as the lamp and the chair. Moreover, there's also a neat selection of bricks (trans-clear and sand green tiles, dark green windows with golden latticed panes, 40 dark tan masonry bricks), so it's a nice pack of parts, too.
  22. Neither have I. It seems interesting building technique for some 'reverse' SNOTing. The only problem I see is the cheese parts getting stuck in the brick. Is anyone using this technique for building to share the experience?
  23. Palace Cinema sounds interesting as a Modular Building or a Creator (Expert) set. And I definitely have nothing against the price set at 130 EUR. Luckily, 2013 is nearer every day, so extra news of the upcoming sets is more likely coming in the next weeks.
  24. Well done! I'm not an expert on ships, but this one looks nice, and the brick-build sail is my favourite detail.
  25. It's a simple design, but it works very well. My favourite is the colour combination. Keep up the good work building!
