  1. Since the tread was bumped, yes, the house is still standing. Actually, I'm not sure about taking it apart. It has been part of our LUG's city layout on three exhibitions. On the other hand, I used pretty much all of my dark green bricks, so I'm not considering any new dark green builds - if I were this house would likely be torn down to use its parts.
  2. This is fantastic! I was stunned by the size of the modular and the amount of details. The owning over the terrace looks great. Well done.
  3. Hopefully, I'm just panicking. I'm planning the trip to Munich next week, and double VIPs would be nice.
  4. I've just noticed that in GB/DK/DE March calender for LEGO stores, there's no mentioning of double VIP points. Here's a link to GB's calendar. I do hope this doesn't mean there's no double VIP in Europe.
  5. HH has a great potential for modification, and you did a great job. The building looks nice as it is, however I'd prefer to see it as it was before it became haunted (fixed windows and facade).
  6. like the plan. I've been in Munich many times, but never really had the time to see the city. The detail of visiting LEGO shop is a nice one, too.
  7. Wow! That's an impressive design! Would be great to see it in bricks. You did a great job!
  8. This is a nice modular building. The front facade is simply detailed with emphasis on large windows with some ''stonework'' and it works really well. Interiors is nice as well, I like how you included some of the Friends' bricks.
  9. My entry is a path through woods, where there's almost no sun coming through the bushy tree branches. Vignette is heavily inspired by the fairytale The Little Red Riding Hood, and as such I'd classify it as Fantasy. Grandma visitor (CMF series 7) typically takes the short cut through the woods on her way to grandma's. Perspective from the top shows the bushy branches. Additional photos (including with Grandma's visitor) can be seen on my Flickr account.
  10. Great work! The stone work is nicely detailed for a minisized MOC. The dark blue roof is the center of the MOC, and it looks great. Well done.
  11. Well done. A combination of bookstore and Starbucks is my favourite. Back to the building, a colour combination is great with dark green. The building is impressive on both the outside and inside. The decals add a nice touch. Well done!
  12. Living out of USA and in continental Europe, not everything is available for purchase. Kindle is a great deal, as it can be bought via Amazon.com. And I really wanted a simple reader, not a tablet, as I have two computers already in the flat. A real (paper) book is still better than an e-book, but there's so many pros for reading e-books. My favourite is definitely that there's no need getting out of bed and fetching a new book af the shelf when one is finished. A new books is just few touches away.
  13. Thanks, Ricecracker, I've been over LEGO's page few times each day, and I never noticed it. Thanks for the links, as now I can start planning a trip to Munich.
  14. This is a fantastic work! There's too many wonderful details to point out. The horse is fantastic and is cleverly put behind the hill as a surprise element. The roofs are typically Mediterranean. The theater building has a great roof detailing and the front stage has a lovely detailed background. All in all, I am still fascinated (after several times of going through your post). Well done. P.S. You seem to be spending lots of quality time with your mum.
  15. Great build. I like the climbing greenery around a wheel and at pillars at the front.
  16. Does anyone know when LEGO will make the dates for double VIP points in March/Easter public?
  17. Lovely diorama. I like how you used whips and arches to create elfen architecture. The duck and the bird are very creative. Well done.
  18. I finally got my kindle 2 weeks ago, and I find it very hard to part with. I'm reading Peter James' Roy Grace series, and I love it. It's great for reading in bed before going to sleep, as the problem of getting out of bed to turn the light off doesn't exist anymore. And it's actually keeping me away from building, which is not so great.
  19. You really add a story to your MOCs with custom signs. I like the white garage doors the most, they're can be folded, right?
  20. Another fantastic work. Even in the larger size, the cottage still looks sweet. I like the interior details the most (like the round cheese and meat in the basement, kitchen utensils on the wall and all the wooden furniture), you put really much effort in it, despite them being hard to notice. It's very a cozy place for winter holidays.
  21. I've bought LEGO in official stores in Copenhagen, Munich and London, and they always asked me if I want to use VIP points (always the same amount of points in my account, but different currency). I don't see why we should be limited to buying in one currency only.
  22. That's a hard choice, as they're all great. If you want to collect them, start with Fire Brigade. If you want them for MOCing, Town Hall has more bricks. I have all of those listed above, and still, I can't say which one I'd buy if only one was possible.
  23. Fantastic work! Really well done! I'm glad it was featured on front page, as I'm sure I'd miss it otherwise. There's many architectural details (the pillars, and the fence) and great ideas for interiors (the train relief). Congratulations on a fantastic MOC!
  24. This is a fantastic MOD. The seating is well done, I specially like the rounded fence of the upper floor.
  25. Well, for that part I know it's the same regardless of the currency. I have at the moment a little over 1000 VIP points (I collected them by buying lego in official stores in UK, DK, and DE). As for that, I havea reward of 50 Ł or 50 DKK or 50 EUR to spend depending of the country.
