  1. This is something I can only support (transferring money via ships). But where do you will draw the line? Trador transferred to the Bank of Corrington. Does this means that from now on off, every transaction of the BoC will require a vessel? When sending money from player to player, does this needs a vessel as well? It would be another option that Banks can be raided as well. But how to put this in the game? Anyway, I honestly thought that Town Bank and Available Funds are two different things. 50% of the income goes to the Town Bank, the other to available funds, right? So there still should be 750 db's in the Townbank of Trador...
  2. I haven't loaned the DB's of Trador to a player account, but put them in the safe Bank of Corrington, so it still is in the game :) I could have licenced soldiers with it, that's true, but as said earlier, I can't do much more than photographing figs on a table right now... I could LDD build a fort. And I have been tempted to finish my big digital fortress (which I started months ago), but I decided for myself (also months ago) that I am not licencing a digital MOC without a real brick sidebuild. So yes it sucks very hard for me right now and it will be the same the next MRCA and perhaps even the one after that. The only thing I can do is sent some vessels on a Trade Run. I can't continue my AMRCA's, not expand my fleet or my property imperium. So that's why I set up an account for Trador in the BoC. If someone raids Trador, well good for them, but I can't respond within 2 or 3 months.
  3. The city of Trador has set up an account and transferred 750 db's. We hope you'll guard it well. Sir Yohannes Ethiximus, Mayor of Trador
  4. I guess they are going to make multpile forts and licence them together as one bigger large fort :) I like where this is heading to!
  5. Wasted, wasted wasted :p A loan is never wasted :p we see it as an investment :D
  6. But attacking Pirates is not an act of Piracy, is it? That would mean that every British vessel that hunted a pirate ship in the past, would be pirates as well? Prio attacked ships they considered pirates (due their previous actions against Prio vessels). It is not like they attacked other Sea Rat vessels out of the blue? (plus: don't forget that another Sea Rat has the Prince Alex captured right now. Was this a Black Flag actions or not?)
  7. I find this is a very intersting reasoning of you. You say that you (or any Sea Rat) can attack any PC or NPC, but the victim is not allowed to attack the aggressors the next round because those vessels are suddenly no "black flag" anymore? I think the rules about Black Flag is very clear. So or those attacking vessels were flying the Black Flag, and thus were still pirates in the eyes of Prio when they attacked the aggessing vessels. Or those vessels weren't flying the Black Flag (when attacking the Palmetto), and thus have committed an act of war against Prio? When analysing the whole discussion, I think we (or at least the Sea Rats) should draw a border between actions in "Black Flag" mode and actions in name of the Sea Rats. For me it is confusing, and I guess for Prio it is confusing as well that it are Sea Rats who are asking money for 2 detained vessels while they were dealing with Pirates and not Sea-Rats. This is the danger ofcourse that when not keeping the difference between the both, it can happen again in the future that "Black Flag" vessels owned by a Sea Rat will be considered as a "Sea Rat" vessel because it are (other?) Sea Rats who do the communication and not the Black Flag Captain. So when choosing the Black Flag path, keep it that way till the world knows that the vessels are not to be considered "Black Flag" anymore. Because if you don't, it is too easy to confuse pirates and Sea Rats. I hope you understand what I mean. If everything was played out as Black Flag actions (on the Sea Rats side), there would be no LoM against Sea Rats now...
  8. Just wondering where exactly I missed the point that the Sea Rats their intention is to invade Prio? I thought this started as a trade/navy war? :p
  9. Don’t forget the 7 residences in Alexport are player built residences. It is like saying that Terelli is a small Hamlet just because only a few player made properties are there. I do understand the confusion as most of us expect the account sheet to be as true/complete as possible. But we should not forget that it just shows the EGS developments. All 4 factions started with nothing but 3 warships (which doesn’t sound realistic, does it).
  10. I can understand your frustrations haha :p Well, I like her. She isn't a CGH beauty (but what ship is? :p) but she is nice and powerfull in her own way. Nice job Kwatchi!
  11. MAESTRO Declaration of Protection towards the nation of Romantica. Since the very beginning of the Prio rebellion, the Mpya Stedor All-Encompassing Science Trade & Resources Organisation (MAESTRO) has been a partner of Romantica. Soldiers of MAESTRO fought back to back with the Prio soldiers, forging a strong future between MAESTRO and Romantica. The bond between the two entities translated in a MAESTRO residence/embassy in Alexport and a Prio residence/embassy in Trador. Trade has flourished between the two. Due the recent events around Prio, MAESTRO will once more fullfill its duties as loyal partner and send resources towards Prio. Given the weak position of our partner, we would also like to inform that we hereby declare us being the protectors of Prio. Any imperial power preying on Prio or one of its subjects, will have to deal with MAESTRO as well. As first step, Prio will receive a loan of 8000 db's with no determined payback date. This is to be used to rebuild a fleet and defensive structures. Long live Romantica, long live MAESTRO! July 11, 618 AE General Samu 'Whitedragon' Head of MAESTRO Military Operations & Defensive Structures (MAESTRO-MODS)
  12. I thought you should MOC the changes. But I don't know how to do the paperwork...
  13. They actually have to build something. But maybe I should make it: 1-3 vessels (same flagship): 1 small property 4-6 vessels (same flagship): 1 medium property or 2 small 7+ vessels (same flagship): 1 large property or equivalent. Hahaha it would be a ghost town then without ghost ships as those ghost ships are not able to build :p In all seriousness, I think/hope this is a nice initiative to reward those visiting a mayor trade port. The lesser people in the harbour (because of the extra work), the more interesting for those who do visit it (and make the building effort). On top, you have your extra monthly income due a property or the one-time reward when letting Trador licence your build. And the more properties, the more interesting for you when visiting Trador again in the future Yes Blame it on the strange Trador bureaucracy Hmmm MAESTRO is an all time ally of Prio. We sent troops in their independence war and they have an embassy in Trador...
  14. The Trador Development Tax What is the point of taxes when the owners are already filthy rich? Can one of those ports that raised taxes the past months show that it actually benefitted the growth? As progressive city, visiting fleets will have now to "pay" a development tax. 1-3 vessels (same flagship): 1 small property 4-6 vessels (same flagship): 1 medium property or 2 small 7+ vessels (same flagship): 1 large property or equivalent. Properties to be licenced before the next MRCA started So for every different flagship, a property is wanted. One vessel sailing on its own = 1 flagship If help needed by licencing or not interested in licencing, the city of Trador (or one of its council members) is intersted in buying the licencing rights of your property for 10 (small)/ 20 (medium) / 30 (large) db's. The Trador Development Tax will be in effect the next MRCA. Ships currently in the harbour are free of tax for this month. July 9 - 618 AE Sir Yohannes Ethiximus, Mayor of Trador

  16. Due to moving to a new place has began (yey, bigger hobby room for me :D), I fear I'll won't be able to build a lot the following months. I hoped to finish some MRCA & AMRCA related builds yesterday, but without succes. So my AMRCA will be on a break for a while.
  17. What a curious story :) looking forward to see where this leads to :)
  18. Yep, my soccerstadium was art and culture as well :) Btw I hope @dr_spock is ready to host this years soccer cup after winning the very succesfull edition last year in Trador :)
  19. Hmm interesting theory Bodi ? I was refering to this one: https://fthmb.tqn.com/rxzvTULRjDmgic3YD9XWiwNh7eY=/640x480/filters:fill(auto,1)/ZhengHesShipbyLarsPlougmannFlickr-56a040e65f9b58eba4af8b6c.jpg
  20. Americans :p The heaviest 1st rate ever was the Spanish ship Nuestra Senora de la Santisima Trinidad with 140 guns :p About being the largest warship, I think those Chinese warships were bigger :)
  21. Congratz Bregir being a Grand Duke/hitting the 5k posts! :)
  22. Nope I am on a honeymoon this year, so I have to skip all Lego events that take place abroad. Next year I'll be back!! I am also hoping to do Paredes Fan Weekend in 2019 and hopefully an event in Sweden as well for 2019 :)
  23. It is a wonderfull vessel. Excellently built! But not a class 10... A third rate is a class 8. Given her 74 guns, she is bigger than most third rates (64 guns), so I could agree she qualifies for a class 9. Class 10 is at least 90+ guns in my opinion This is the only real class 10 so far: Sorry to be a pain in the megablocks.
  24. CHAPTER 2 : Sailing To Destiny Part 1.A : (Intro) - Making choices After leaving Tellvok, while sailing towards Guelph, Lord Maximilian Damaximus summoned the officers and captains of the 3 vessels. Needless to say, the captains were vetoing a passage through the Mokoleian desert. So the two seafaring options sounded more interesting. Some officers favoured the Kembali options, but most of the gentlemen agreed to sail around the Forbidden Kingdoms, even that would mean a big delay. The idea was the longer they could sail, the safer they were for bandits and corsairs (given the amount of firepower they have). The navigator set the course to Drolic to resupply and so their journey went on. It was one without any noteworthy incidents. There were no overcrowded vessels anymore as they left the Battalion at Tellvok. Part 1.B : (Trador) - Welcome to Drolic After a while they arrived at Drolic. Given the strategic location of this port city, it was a very busy atmosphere. Merchants and officers from the North, South and West could be found there. They even met sailors from the Kingdom of The Lotus who came from the North West and who told about their interaction with Carno vessels. After talking with the locals, Lord Maximilian Damaximus received permission to set up a MAESTRO Warehouse and a Trador Agency of Exploring & Culture. After walking around in the city, talking with many Real Estate Brokers, they found 2 empty properties next to eachother close to the beach. A perfect location! One of the older MAESTRO merchants, Dieter Timmers, was promoted to regional director, being in charge of setting up a flourishing store and connection in the MAESTRO trade network. Just like almost all buildings in Drolic, the 2 purchased properties were sandgreen with a touch of white. On the left: Trador Agency --- on the right: MAESTRO Warehouse Lord Maximilian Damaximus congratulating Dieter Timmers A Drolitic guard and officer arriving at the scene. A Dronomonto merchant passing by as well. Part 1.C : (Maxim I) - A wine and a dine and a star to shine A few days later, Lord Maximilian Damaximus gave a small party at one of the very popular open bars to be found in Drolic. With the vessels anchored on the horizon, the mood was excellent. They were talking about their adventures in Tellvok, the journey along the WTC fleet and the quest still laying ahead. As they were talking the Stedorian dialect (a combination of Eslandian and the old Ximian language of their ancestors), they didn't care about what they said, considering that only the Common Language would be understandable here. So the surprise was very big when one of the Southern looking people next to them stood up and asked in a very similar yet different dialect if he could join. And then a very strange conversation started. ---- [mysterious guy] - Can I join your table please? I am very intrigued to hear your stories. [Maximilian, after a small shock] - Yes, yes erm ofcourse! I fear I am as intrigued as your are. [mysterious guy] - Let me introduce myself then. I am Ayumu Daisuke, a merchant from the Wahdor Shogunate in Dranomonto. (bows very very deeply) [Maximilian, after bowing very very deeply as well] - Nice to meet you, Ayumu Daisuke. I am Maximilian Damaximus, Lord of Stedor in Eslandola and Prince of Garvey. You keep making me more and more curious. [Ayumu Daisuke] - I am as curious as you mylord. Forgive me, but I did some eardropping after hearing Ximus a few times. Given your name, may I be so inpolite to ask what brings you here? [Maximilian] - It is a long story about origins of my family and my city. A story about the lost city of Ximus, once a powerfull city being destroyed by a Dark Lord. My ancestors were lucky they were not nearby when the city of Ximus fell and once they discovered that their home has been vanished, they fled as far as they could. The group of survivors established Stedor and now, hundreds of years later, I am trying to find our origins. [Ayumu Daisuke] - Ah yes, the story of the once gloryfull Alleenridders and Ximus. This is what I hoped to hear. Your ancestors were not the only survivors of the Alleenridders. There were many groups roaming in the neighbouring countries, helping those in need. Some of them were slain by the Dark Lord, others were able to flee as well. A legend says that somewhere deep in the Forbidden Kingdoms, there is a big valley, ruled by decendants of Alleenridders. Other decendants of Alleenridders are now farmers, merchants, soldiers, ... and can be found all over the Forbidden Kingdoms. But also the entire fleet was not at home back then. And when they arrived and found the city ruined, they sweared revenged. Admiral To of Ximus sailed the fleet to one of the lesser habited islands of Dranomonto. Arriving their and with the permission of the Dranomonto Emperor (who saw a powerfull fleet and complete army), he established Wahdor. The people of Wahdor teached the Dranomonto their nautical skills and so the Dranomonto became feared sailors and raiders. Admiral To of Ximus died in one of those raids, but his son Haya turned the tables and achieved a heroic victory. Haya became Shogun of Wahdor and the surrounding area and would become known as Shogun Haya "The Great" Toximus. [Maximilian] - So you know where Ximus is located then? [Ayumu Daisuke] - I fear not... The location has been buried with To of Ximus. He avoided the place at all costs as he considered it sacred. So no exact notitions were made and through the ages the location of Ximus became lost. [Maximilian] - Then I have great news, as we found the locations. [Ayumu Daisuke] - That's indeed great news. And I am sure our Shogun Hiraku Toximus will be pleased to meet you. May I suggest to sail with us to Dranomonto? [Maximilian] - I would be honoured to visit Wahdor. Somewhere in the future, Ayumu would confess to Maximilian that after seeing the Golden Star of MAESTRO on their flags and emblems, he made someone follow Maximilian and it was no accident they were sitting next to eachother in the bar. The Golden Star of MAESTRO is the same as the Golden Star on the coat of arms of Wahdor. --------------------- And so the next day, preparations were made to sail to Dranomonto
