  1. Indeed great job on the floor and the table! Also excellent minifig posing!
  2. nice drakkar! it looks excellent! If I may give some feedback, an option for a smoother tiled floor is if the second part was one plate higher than the first part with some overhang.
  3. An amazing woman living in the UK makes these. (site) But due Brexit, she is not selling to mainland Europe for a few weeks till things are sorted out
  4. A true Pirate fan or historic fan can only applaud the fact that people make true Replica's of ships long lost. One of these iconic replica's is without any doubt the Gotheborg, buit in Sweden and based on the Swedish East Indiaman Gotheborg who launched in 1738. Since I started building lego ships, I dreamed of bricking the Gotheborg. After a few years of learning and developping shipbuilding techniques, I started with the vessel in 2017 to finish it in 2018 (finished except the ratlines). And this year I finally found the time and motivation to finish those bloody ratlines A big shoot out to @Captain Green Hair, @Sebeus I, @kabel, @Legostone and all others of the BeLUG pirate crew for the advice and feedback during the process! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the vessel. It was most of the time a real troublemaker to make everything comes together (difficult angles and other challenges). An extra picture: the Gotheborg together with another new vessel: Princesse Margot (can be found in BOBS forum) Just discovered someone filmed both ships at Skaerbaek Fan Weekend: Thanks for watching! C&C would be awesome! Flickr album
  5. And here is my entry (finally I made an entry after all those years :p )
  6. The Weelond Oktoberfesten in 3 words? Beer, beer and more beer! But ofcourse there are multiple ways to enjoy the beer. The streets are filled with cosy beer stalls offering mostly cheap beer. The upper class of Weelond and the more fancier visitors found a pleasure in something called discovering the greater art of beer. It is here where MAESTRO jumped in with an official Beer Tasting Class! In small groups, the participants enjoy tasting all different beers and ofcourse apple ciders. As they are from all different factions and professions, the atmosphere was excellent and the discussions went deeper the later the evening. Will be licenced as small education by MAESTRO. Thanks for watching!
  7. @Legostone I guess the images are gone since the update of Flickr a few months ago?
  8. Great job MOC'ing that process. My advice would be to put a grey plate underneath the barrels to hide the tan underground :)
  9. haha, that lady looking through the window! Didn't see it the first time Great MOC, very clean and solid. It looks like everything comes together like it should.
  10. once you come across the Purple Reign, you won't say that purple is silly @Kai NRG: excellent job with packing so many details in such a small build!
  11. Once again an amazing ship from you Bodi! The only thing I am not a huge fan of, is the poop deck (it looks too inclined compared to the stern). But maybe bomb ketches used ot be like that, I have no clue about those ships (should do one as well one day). Class 4 looks the right class:)
  12. @Captain Genaro Can I propose myself? For keeping the peace between Eslandola and Oleon and not doing anything the past 2 years. Some haters will point on the fact I am still somewhere on the other side of the world (AMRCA story "origins") and that it would be difficult to stir trouble from that part of the world, but my response is: look to the facts. It has never been more peacefull between our 2 nations
  13. I put it in my calendar to build something Friday. Hope to finally be able to participate :D
  14. Thanks! yes they are :)
  15. Now I need to find the perfect moment for some photoshooting :)
  16. The Prince of Garvey still is on the other side of the world. Time to get back I guess :D
  17. MAESTRO has received word of One of its warvessels being on the lose and capturing vessels. We have lost contact with the AQAR and its crew and we considerid to be sunk. We are much surprised by the rumours and Will investigate this further
  18. @Wellesley I use 3mm round steel to stiffen the masts :)
  19. @Legostone, gonna check if I got some other pictures of the vessel :) Hooray, upcomming weekend I got rigging-weekend number 5 for my vessel. Should be the last
  20. it looks really great already! As inexperienced train builder, I cannot give a lot of feedback about that stuff. But I do wonder if there is no better solution for the doors as they won't go open, so the hinges are useless.
  21. I love how well-thought your MOC is! Packed with nice details, you did an excellent job!
  22. It is an absolutely amazing vessel! But I do fear for the likeability, considering the amount of guns. I count 15 on one side + 2 in the back. If only one side is equipped, that still makes 17 guns. 17 guns * 3 euro a gun => 51 euro only for those guns, wich makes it an expensive Lego Ideas set in the eyes of a consumer. A solution like the Silent Mary would ofcourse reduce that price
  23. I used to have an (unautomated) sheet with all (known) locations of vessels, but haven't updated it for a few editions Hopefully when I am more active again, I'll be able to update it (so one day, I can rule over the waves)
  24. Bankruptcy? *swims further in his pool of doubloons*
  25. @All: November 30th and December 1st, Brick Mania Antwerp will take place in (obviously) Antwerp, Belgium. As always, it is one of the best opportunities for West-European BoBS/EB members to meet and gather :) Last year, a whopping 11 000 visitors were amazed by our scenes (and the amazing work of other exposants, such as a huge LEGO version of the Antwerp Cathedral). This year, we will again have a History Lay-out. Mostly focussed on Pirates and some side projects (Castle & 1930's). So do you want to do crazy and show your MOC's in Belgium, along with fellow pirates @Legostone, @kabel, @Sebeus I, @Faladrin, @Captain Braunsfeld, @Captain Green Hair and myself, feel free to contact me for further details There is no need to worry about quantity, as it will already be a puzzle to fit all participants in the hall. If this edition comes to early for you, well, keep an eye on the forum in the upcomming months. For BMA 2020, I want to break the old 84 m² Pirate Lay-out record :)
