Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Maxim I replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Just make sure then that the boats are not part of the footprint requirement :) I mean: if you fill a large plate with ten small boats you got a large property OR 10 small boats. Only if you can proof that the build itself is sufficent enough for a large property without the small boats, you will be allowed to licence those I guess you are thinking about some fishy plantation build? -
I fear it won't be the first half of 2019 indeed... Let's hope for second half!

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Maxim I replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A difficult one. I do see why this rule has been declared. Am I a big fan of it? Not really, but then again, I understand this rule is easier than having to discuss with a player time after time that he should invest in quality over quantity. I do understand the frustration of Drunknok as this lowers the possibilities of newer players (and it are mostly them who are being hit by this rule, as 90% of the landbased MOC's are coming from new players lately). It hits them directly as it will take longer now to grow financially. And honestly, I do follow Drunknok in this, as landbased properties' income is still peanuts considered to the marges of the TMRCA. But, the growth of Mesabi Landing (just to name it, as I think this is the subject of Drunknok's reaction) can't be called natural. It is an awesome team effort of both Drunknok and Mesabi, but not every MOC has been built towards its fullest potential. And I guess this is why leadership came up with this rule... I think the rule would be more fair (and interesting for the development of all settlements), if it was adjusted to: No more than 3 properties built by a player can be licenced in the same month in the same settlement by him or by any other entity. So if a player still wants to build 10 MOC's of decent quality in a month and licence it (with the max of 3 licences / a month / entity still counting), it would benefit multiple settlements and not just one. Anyway, these are my 2 cents... -
You did a nice job with the style of this house! Those windows are looking really great! The kitchen details are very nice (great job on the cooking devices!) I fear that the streets and docks are kinde plain. Some more texture there would have been nice to see :)

I concerned this last month (see the KPA previous edition. There is even a ruling as result of this stating that ships of inactive players can continue sailing, but no new licences can be made in name of an inactive player) -

Nope :D bigger and better and outside the low-emission zone in Antwerp -
So we got the Pirate rollercoaster and the Pirate Treehouse... I fear the chances to see a decent Pirates wave next year are getting lower... One Piraty Creator set could have been seen as an appetiser for a Pirates wave (which would maybe even have been genius). I do hope for a sweet D2C set... And considering the increasing amount of 100+ euro sets Lego is dropping year after year, this could have a chance...

This year in November, Brick Mania Antwerp will take place again. Next to a wonderfull exposition with more than 8000 visitors (the past editions), is is an unofficial gathering of European EB-Pirate lovers :D Two years ago we did an enormous lay-out (84m²) and as we have a bigger exposition hall this year, we are going to try to beat that If you want to be part of this amazing convention, let me know here or in PM! Transport has to be arranged by yourself, but some of us can help you with a sleeping place. Date: November 24 & 25th. Setting up: November 23th (& November 24th before 10h). Location: Antwerp Expo, Antwerp, Belgium Cool EB-members attending: @Maxim I, @Legostone, @Captain Green Hair, @Sebeus I, @kabel, @TitusV (and hopefully @Captain Braunsfeld, @Bonaparte, @Ecclesiastes and many more) -
[COR] HMS Windblown - Class 2
Maxim I replied to Flavius Gratian's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Flavius Gratian check my Gotheborg (recently posted some teasers :p ). I even have to do the ratlines :p I think I easily spent 25 hours (probably more) on rigging alone :) -
It almost looks like the original architect of Quinnville himself has returned. Excellent job as it fits very nicely! Also great part use!

[COR] HMS Windblown - Class 2
Maxim I replied to Flavius Gratian's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That is a very nice executed small vessel and a very fine attempt on basic rigging. I do follow the feedback that the bow should be not as abrupt compared to the side of the vessel. I think it would be nicer if there was a smooth curved line :) -
No need for being concerned :D Keep preaching and praying :D Hmm, gonna check if I have more pictures of them. But those will probably be posted in the general Pirate Forum. Maybe next week :) The tower was made by fellow BELUG-member Peter G. Me too :D but that means I have to finish the bloody ratlines.... Thanks! The vomiting guy was a joke as the sailor was intended to just peep out of the canon hole. The Oleon officer tied on the mast is the sigfig of @Sebeus I (who attended the event as well). He didn't like it to see his fig being tied up. But we had a lot of fun with it!

This looks very promising! Try uploading pictures using Flickr or Brickshelf for example. Uploading pictures directly to Eurobricks isn't really recommended :)

That's a great Roman diorama! The temple could use some more decoration I guess, but neverthless, it looks good :)

Great to see you are still alive and kicking! :) This is amazing so far! Keep on exanding! -
Great job Mesabi! It does looks very realistic. The only thing that is not so realistic is that the thick lines are only intercolonial trade routes. In other words, the goods are being transported between colonial cities and not between the colonies and the Old World.

--------------------------------------------- Gotheborg (Maxim I) ------------------------------------------------------------------ April 15th 618 AE Captain Bruno Proximus could not sleep well. He was so excited about the big day tomorrow. After years of loyal service to MAESTRO, commanding smaller trade vessels, he was now given command over the Gotheborg. The biggest vessel in the MAESTRO fleet so far. Named after the oldest fortress of Stedor, located near the harbour: Gotheburgt (translated: Fortress of Gothe, who was the son of Dama of Ximus, who founded Stedor). to A beautifull class 8 New Terraman, armed with 30 guns. In his imagination, he already could see himself standing on the stern, overwatching the vessel. In his dreams, an Oleon officer somehow managed to get tied to the mast, while an Oleon sailor was sea sick. But more important, Lord Maximilian Damaximus and his wife were also on board, approving the qualities of Captain Bruno Proximus. Such a nice dream... But it still is a dream, as the real version luckily has a rudder... --------------------------------------------- La Comète (Legostone) ------------------------------------------------------------------ While dreaming, an other new MAESTRO vessel joined the trip. La Comète, a powerfull heavy frigate with amazing details. Built by the never stopping ship warves of Jerome Monezterrel ( @Legostone ) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching! For full pics of the Gotheborg you will have to wait a little bit. I hope you enjoy the teasers! Gotheborg will be licenced as a Class 8 by me La Comète as a class 6 (by Legostone)

Eslandola is fairly simple: the more gold in the uniform, the higher the prestige of the person who wears it There are some exceptions ofcourse As the army of Eslandola consists of privatly owned troops, there is not really a need for regulations :) Just like we are not going to ask such a thing of Sea Rats :D
