[AMRCA - MAESTRO] Trador Agency of Exploring & Culture
Maxim I replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Chapter 3: A Journey on a strange Vessel Captain Emanuel Alejandro Izquierdo Log Was it the sun or too much alcohol, but once the foreign vessel and its crew started helping the Eslandolan sailors, Emanuel noticed that the vessel didn't match his first sketches at all. It seemed a modern version of the galleys roaming Halos long long ago. Most surprising were the 10 guns on the lower deck. Their gunports were almost hidden from the eye. On the front castle, two turnable guns could hit from every angle. And with the ram at the bow, enemies would quickly sink. Still Emanuel was sure this was more a well-rounded version. He really wondered how the armed vessels would look like. The captain was still more focused on sailing than in his guests. The Eslandolan sailors figured out the foreigners were very disciplined. They all had the same uniform/clothing. Emanuel discovered that the word "Atlarka" must be of some meaning as the First Mate mentioned it a few times. Wether it is their homeland or just the name of the vessel, he doesn't know yet. Although being captured, Emanuel was very excited he took the risk of letting a foreign vessel help them. If he makes it back to the known world, he will be the first to discover new a new nation! more story to be added soon- 18 replies

Honestly, what is most funny at all is that Mesabi doesn’t know how the Eslandola system works :p We are not talking about campaigning for one seat but for multiple seats. There is a seat for each TC and a seat for independent traders (so 4 seats in total) + a seat for the representative of each region. So there is no need for rioting as both Capt Wolf and Gedren will have a seat :p

[MRCA Cor] The detention of Captain Tyrell - NEW CONTENT
Maxim I replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Case closed I guess?? I mean, why all the bombastic acting of Corrington if they don't even consider the WTC as an official entity of Corrington? Did the WTC attack some Sea Rats? Well yes they did. But in name of the WTC, not in name of Corrington (as you state yourself, they have no equal standing with a Corrington army). It is my opinion that an action of an individual is the choice of that individual. If an individual decides to become a mercenary, fighting with the Mokolei against Pan, are you going to trial him for this choice? I don't want to feed all the people who left their home looking for a new adventure abroad. It seems the captain of the Icarus Returning made a mistake by attacking a Sea Rat vessel. Due some miscommunication, (there are no cell phones, remember?), he heard Corrington was in a state of war with the Sea Rats. When arriving in port, it turns out he made a huge mistake. The WTC already tried to negotiate with the Sea Rats to restore the situation. Shouldn't this be enough for Corrington? Why the need for blowing this minor situation up? Is it to cover the fact that there still is no solution in the Corrington - Sea Rats struggle? ---------------------- Anyway, I love this here! So much fun to read. Please keep continuing! At Ayrlego: great jail and office you made! -

Haha I completely forgot I was part of that alliance with Brandon Stark :p Well, as it seems that the fellow has vanished, I guess those alliances are in the freezer as well... @Faladrin? -
@Captain Genaro and @Kolonialbeamter: I am still waiting for an answer... And while we are on it, it came to me that the whole fleet it was part of wasn't licenced neither. Yes it are licenced vessels you bought at an auction, but you still need to relicence them. Now they don't count towards your shiplevel and you don't pay upkeep on them... I really don't get this. The information about buying auctionned vessels has been given multiple times and it is not like you are new players... You know there needs to be a MOC attached and you know they need to be licenced again...

I really enjoy your updates, but could you please keep them in the same topic? There is no need to make a new topic for every update of a vessel. So please keep them in the same.

It's been a while since an update of the Gotheborg. I made her a midsec longer so her proportions were more right. Here the original vessel: -
Before starting, let's take a look at the line-up for the pirates section! @Maxim I - yours truly and organisator of the lay-out @Captain Green Hair - More famous Dutchman than the Flying Dutchman @Sebeus I - became famous for his Flying Dutchman @Faladrin - His vessel on a track is purely genious, more about this in the pictures below @Legostone - Builds stunning vessels at a tempo normal people change their underwear @kabel - Our beloved moderator. Wasn't fysically there, but his MOC's were. @Imperial Shipyards - His very first exposition. I am still dreaming about the detailing on his vessels! There were also some famous Eurobrickers busy with the Castle and Western section, but hopefully @TitusV & @Captain Braunsfeld will make a topic to show that part. Unlike last year (84m²), the pirate lay-out was a bit smaller and measured 32m². Anyway, here you go! Let's start with a small story. Due to marriage, the Green Faction became an union with the Red Faction. This dragged them in the everlasting war between Red & Blue. The Greens hoped to postpone this war as long as possible, but the Blues found it time to attack the "Prince of Stedor". This action lead to a huge reaction as the combined Red & Green fleet wasn't that far away. With the "Margot" as Flag ship, the Red & Greens prepared for a good old fashioned battle of the Line... Meanwhile, the alarm bells ringed in the Green city of Trador. People fled inside their houses while soldiers prepared to fire at the passing Blue vessels. The Aqar was just about to enter the harbour. This mighty 4th Rate opened fire at the back of the Blue Line. The Blues quickly answered with the incoming fire of Trador with their Bomb Ketch Luckily there were some peacefull scenarios as well: But that was probably more a fata morgana. The Blue Ship of the Line "La Fleure" was engaging the notorious Flying Dutchman. Helped by 2 other blue vessels they hoped to make the seas less relentless. A little bit further down the road (erm sea), the Greenies were hunting a pirate hidden on his island Some other scenes: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching! For some more pics, check my flickr. Be also sure to check the update fleet of Imperial Shipyards! This is really awesome!

The Riverside Palace in Londa, Mardier
Maxim I replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Tomorrow I am going to unlicence my royal palace as a royal residence and I am going to licence it as a royal commerce. Why? Because it is here I sign trade agreements with other players and where I stack my treasure. Following the Oleon logic, this would make perfect sense... Honestly, I am very tempted to do this because this whole “licence a palace as something else then a palace and because well screw whatever the lore is, you can licence whatever you want wherever you want.” And no, I am not going to do that. I feel too much pride in playing the game as it should be. A palace is a palace... Yes KBB should be rewarded for building such an amazing build for a NPC faction (just as Elostirion should). But licencing the royal RESIDENCE of the royal family of Mardier as an Art & Culture for Oleon is something I really don’t get and makes me even wonder what the whole point of this game is. So my Oleon friends, keep playing this way, but you really lost me... In my opinion, you didn’t crossed the boundaries once, but twice with the same action, which really makes it a no go for me...- 26 replies

The Riverside Palace in Londa, Mardier
Maxim I replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
But aren't all palaces used to welcome guests and discuss diplomatic stuff? Don't have all palaces a cultural purpose as it host an amazing art collection? KBB clearly said the palace has a residing function, so I would say that (for the sake of the game), it is a residence. I know it is a grey zone, but if we decide all palaces are art & culture, then no-one will ever build a royal residence anymore. edit: even my small palace in Trador has been licenced as a residence, even if everyone can clearly see the administrative purpose of this build...- 26 replies

The Riverside Palace in Londa, Mardier
Maxim I replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
It would make a lot more sense Although a loan would have been cheaper for Mardier About the palace stuff: the name of a royal residence is: "royal palace". It is like making a "Royal Factory" but licence it as a royal Art & Culture because it is producing golden statues. Every palace has some cultural and civilian purposes, but in the end, it is a residence. KBB even states that the kings of Mardier are non-stop living here... Otherwise I could have licenced my palace in Trador as an art & culture as well, but that doesn't feel right to me. I know Oleon got the interesting bonus for Art & Culture buildings, but please for the love of the game, don't make everything art & culture. I know the income of a royal residence is very meager. And a loan of 300 db's, resulting in a montly income of 15 db's (loan is paid back after 20 months) is way more possible than a loan of 2400 with a monthly rent of 600 (loan is paid back after 4 months and all following months are a bonus of 25%)...- 26 replies

Oh and just wondering another thing, isn't a palace supposed to be a royal palace? aka a royal residence property? (edit: I really admire the work you put onto this, but from a gaming point of view, it doesn't makes sense what Oleon is doing)- 26 replies

The Riverside Palace in Londa, Mardier
Maxim I replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Honestly, I really don't get this... Why would Oleon licence the royal palace of Mardier? There is something as creating lore without the need exploit it. Elostirion build a market section in Londa as well, that could go as a royal property. I really see no point in Eslandola licencing that as a royal commercial property. And maybe we could say it is an Eslandolan Warehouse (like if we would be allowed to have that after our war). But Oleon licencing the royal palace of Londa? I really don't get it... --- Anywho, the build itself is really superb! It took me a while before I realised it wasn't in minifig scale :D It has something very royal and grandesque, so once again you did an amazing job KBB!- 26 replies
