Age of Mitgardia (free-build-challenge)
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Storehouse phase 1 and 2: -
This was a really fun build, that let me try a few new things: mainly the curved roof design, and using the new lavendar leaves. The crane and doors actually work, and the posts of the dock go down into the ‘ice’. There’s a full interior as usual. You can see tutorials for both the lower roof, and curved roof. The city of Daydelon has many warehouses, most are equipped with a crane, and large doors on the second floor for easy unloading of cargo. In the summer, boats are harbored at the dock, but the winters of Mitgardia are so cold, that carts and wagons can be driven on top of the ice. See more pictures on my website, here. Feedback always appreciated

Here's my Phase 1 build for the storehouse category in Age of Mitgardia. I limited myself to an 8x8 base size for this build, and was mainly trying to make a realistic looking cellar entrance. Fruit cellars are commonly used in Mitgardia to store food, and other goods. Rats can become problematic, but it looks like this one's food stealing days are over: See more pictures here: link Comments and suggestions welcome

Thank you Thanks Gunman! Thanks Rogue, the Elk was the most difficult part of the MOC
-
Neat how you showed the grass and dirt underneath the snow via the irregular base, and that little cart is quite clever
-
Quite an impressive castle for sure! I like that you included a large landscape with the fortress
-
Really cool mine scene, the various cranes, chutes, and carts make it look quite functional Sweet wooden scaffolding and supports as well

Bricks cracking... just from being connected to one another?

That's odd, I submitted a request about some of the 1x4 tiles I'd had break, and they responded pretty quickly, and sent me replacements. -

That iceberg base looks pretty sweet The beasty isn't bad at all, either, the sea serpenty looking body, is cool, and I like its numerous spikes -
Superbly innovative as usual, really liking that wooden hut design Outstanding vegetation and tree too

Thanks Titus Thank you, Graham Thanks Andrew! Thanks, I was pretty pleased with how that turned out Thanks Blufiji Thanks! Thanks LV Thank you, it was fun doing a smaller build again Thanks Kai! You may be right about the roof, since it's so small, smooth slopes, or cheese might have looked better Thanks Adair Thanks Gideon, and I think she's feeling quite angry and sad here. Thanks John Thanks UM, a third step might have looked nice there

Great use of those half arches, unikitty tails, new scroll inverted arch things, turn table rotators, and that prefab dome. As Gideon said, you incorporated that flawlessly The dark red brick bricks look good too, will have to get some of those myself

Yeah, I agree with Garmadon, this is my favorite yet The wall texture with the SNOT tiles works beautifully, and I like your inclusion of rockwork under the snow
