Book III Challenge IV Category A: An Axe Throwing Agreement
soccerkid6 replied to mrcp6d's topic in Guilds of Historica
Those pillars and doorway are both brilliant examples of dwarven style Angling the back cave walls is a subtle touch, be really sells the natural cavern look. Seeing those classic Mitgardian troops brings back a lot of early GoH memories -
That's a lot of boards and planks scattered about! Very good representation of a carpentry shop, and the floor design is nifty.

[AoM: Stables - Phase I] Wash away
soccerkid6 replied to Louis of Nutwood's topic in Guilds of Historica
The swamp with lily pads looks great. Particularly with how you used the spiky vines around the grass patches Tan rockwork is a bit too high in contrast with the dark green swamp for my taste, but it's very well built. Great pack designs on the horses! -

The water and rockwork colors combined with the irregular base make the landscape really pop Very good use of slopes to make a rounded tower too -

Not sure about the DoH program, but you should post new builds in their own topic embedding images from flickr. Then post a link to them here, and also in the free build registry. -
Beautiful layout with the lower roof almost entirely wrapping around the second story The printed sign, ladder, bucket of water, and mounds of hay all are perfect details for a stables

Effective use of 1x1 plates for decoration on the wall, and your collection of mysterious robed figures certainly gives a sinister vibe! -
Great work framing the scenes with cliffs, while staggering them in such a way that our view is still unobstructed The dirt path and stone stairs both look fabulous

Lovely micro with the claw sails and clip gateway being my favorite details The massive hall is suitably imposing, and I don't think I've seen that color scheme used before. Very cool candelabra technique too! -

[Nocturnus Civil War] Zotharians in the Underworld
soccerkid6 replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Easily my favorite build of yours. So much like from the colors, architecture, and landscape style Absolutely nailed the underworld aesthetic, and the dark blue pairs so well with turquoise! Next time I feel like doing some dark fantasy I'll come back to this for inspiration- 13 replies

Challenge IV: Category A: The Grand Victory at Al Tajir
soccerkid6 replied to LittleJohn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Not sure what I can besides the fact that this is even better in person! Your hard work paid tremendous dividends, and it was awesome watching everything come together Keep it up -
I like the wooden textures, though as Exetrius mentioned having some contrast in different areas would make it easier to see what's going on. Good technique to have the table itself upside down so the round brick and dish can be attached as a cup and platter

Well done capturing the clutter of a clock maker's workspace, and the function definitely takes the whole scene up a level
