GoH 10A: “The house of proclamation” [Life in Cedrica]
soccerkid6 replied to T-86(swebrickLUG)'s topic in Guilds of Historica
The toned down colors work well here pairing reddish brown with the different shades of tan and olive green foliage. Good detail work around the different doorways and the dovecote makes a perfect roof top detail -
Still instantly recognizable as a Captain Flint model, but with a much more polished finish than the original structure Super use of macaroni tiles for the woodwork, and the small round window under the roof peak is gorgeous Lovely style to the snow base too!

Extraordinary model, and surely a monumental design challenge to tackle! I'm amazed by the realism of the apparel especially. Little details like the fur edging, different ties and buttons, and drape of different materials all captured brilliantly

Goh 10 A: Kaliphlin District of Cedrica
soccerkid6 replied to jtooker's topic in Guilds of Historica
So much to admire in this Kaliphlin district The overall layout works nicely to give us a good view of the structures and streets, and I like how you rounded off one corner of the stone foundations. Super use of half stud and SNOT offsets to lend visual interest to the architecture within minimal space. The tall tan tower and wooden upper floor using triangle tiles are my favorite sections -
Massively magnificent layout So many different buildings and features to discover. One of the first things that caught my attention was the super effective use of wedge slopes topping the beautiful round tower Love the addition of a large crane for loading and unloading cargo at the port, and how you setup numerous vendors under the arches of the dockside level. Speaking of the gallery there, I really like your column design using 1x2 bow bricks Incorporating buildings into cliff sides is a challenging proposition, but you pulled it off beautifully with the rough stone at the top edge.

I quite like the tall tudor structure style you went with as opposed to relying mainly on masonry. It reminds me of German tudor houses. Plus a very cool ship which makes a great addition to the scene.

[MOC] The Tower of Roligsfrakk
soccerkid6 replied to Louis of Nutwood's topic in Guilds of Historica
The beveled corners to the stonework work super well here! Nice mixture of stone and wood in general, along with some nice offsets on the tower and well. Good work managing a very natural looking irregular base, especially with the different elevations. Your overview photo could use a longer depth of focus so the whole model is clear at once -
I remember the original, it brings back lots of good memories from the Age of Mitgardia days Definitely a massive upgrade with your new version! Love the sand blue roof and elegant columns for the pavilion, and even the targets themselves are much improved
-
Another super impressive addition to your growing layout! The sheer height is incredible, especially since you included so many details with different wooden additions, vines, and decorative stone patterns. The tree growing through a tower is a neat and unique addition, and makes great use of those tube elements for the trunk Great roof setup for the bley building, and I also like the gallery looking section on the top floor

Super impressive Cedrica block! Will echo others on saying it feels completely in line with the Ninjago City style, yet fitting well in Cedrica. Impressive use of the SNOT tiles and jumper plates columns, especially with those inverted and studs up 4x4 plate capitols to give some extra flair. And you absolutely packed in the interior detail here! No wasted space The heraldry shop and counting house may be my favorites, but there are neat details to discover all over. I felt the same way about these city blocks being super time and labor intensive. Including interiors is far more work when you have numerous two and three story buildings in one scene Definitely rewarding to complete them though!

Mind blowing scale, yet without sacrificing any of your signature polish. So so good Your new arches over the windows are super satisfying with the two layers of depth and smooth use of macaroni tiles. The buttresses of the top octagonal section are beautiful, and between you and @adde51's use of those dino tail domes I'm adding them to my list of parts to stock up on in bulk Such a smart dome design, and it fits perfectly atop your corner turrets. Also really like the touch of the soot stained columns near the flames

Super cool technique for the stone corner detailing on the tallest tower Very neat timber framing on the house, with the three beams under the roof-line being my favorite section Nifty little vine using the brown whip and olive stems too.

I really like the proportions and texture of that round tower! Lovely birch tree and market stall as well, and of course plenty of amusing sea gull antics

[CSE] Space Police - Multi Purpose Striker
soccerkid6 replied to Brickshipyard's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Great work making a very roomy cargo bay without making the entire ship too bulky. Your rover makes excellent use of modern elements while retaining the Space Police style. I especially like the printed panels for doors -
The light agile look is super! Neat way of hiding away the hovercraft too
-
Great amount of interior space in this impressive craft! Your combination of windscreens for the main canopy looks terrific, as do the chunky intakes. Magnets are always the ultimate for cargo transport in my mind, and the arachnomobil is a clever twist on the usual ground vehicles
-
The fighter jet influence is very clear, and makes for a great shape. Love the storage bay for the trike, and how it naturally incorporates a ramp
-
Looks like a very practical transport ship! Nice use of modularity for the storage units
-
Such a sleek and effective silhouette Very polished in every area, but the shaping and angle transitions for the engine pods are especially cool
-
The style of the craft feels very practical, and there's so much fabulous greebling contrasting against the smoother blue panels Love those engines, and the little section of yellow tubing. Super cool tracked rover too!
