  1. Yeah, that is quite effective Nice use of the 1x2 tile with vertical handle
  2. Really neat build! I like how you have two bases, one for each building, and then used the Army man baseplates for the figs The stable is excellent, the roof works better there than on the house, I think due to the smaller overhang and thinner tan sections. Great that you included an interior, especially via hinging walls The little jail cell is a nice touch
  3. Thank you Thanks Blufiji, I do enjoy civilian buildings Thanks Cap B.
  4. Thanks! Thank you. It only has one more module than Katoren, but rather than 6 32x32 sections, it consists of 5 32x48 + 2 48x48s, and the mountain weighs a lot
  5. Thanks Blufiji Thanks, yeah, had to figure out something to do with those guys Thanks, this was pretty parts intensive. Thanks ME. I imagine they hunt from boats, but I didn't have space to include one. They are a quite a formidable race for sure. I would like to do more with them, we'll see how quickly that happens though. Thanks, I figured the Frozen Beyond could use some non-baddies, plus these guys trying to defend their territory from the Algus could make for some great builds Thank you Thanks!
  6. Great army, the various sections are all well designed Wolf-pack is a favorite faction of mine, so I'm looking forward to seeing more builds from you
  7. @en_zoo: Displaying guild colors is encouraged, but not necessary by any means. I don't use the Mitgardian flag in a lot of my builds, as you said, sometimes it just doesn't fit. Heraldry is pretty flexible, most factions are represented in numerous guilds. The 2 that are most associated with a specific guild, are the green dragon shields from the Kingdoms line (Avalonia), and the red lion shields also from Kingdoms (Kaliphlin).
  8. Nifty design, Titus, I like that it works well from both sides
  9. Thanks Titus, we recently got more trans blue plates while at BFVA, so it was nice to use them here Thanks! Thanks BC, it was rather fun to build, though at first I wasn't sure how it would work out. Thanks dG, it is fun to create different races/people groups Thanks Gunman! Thanks! I'm glad you like the icicle battlements, once I decided on an ice fortress, I knew I had to include those
  10. Excellent farm scene! The garden looks like it has a nice variety of plants, and I like the vine/bushes on the back right As BC said, the pig shelter is quite nice too. And you've gotta love pigs rolling in the mud! If you could tighten the sheet behind the build, so that it wasn't as wrinkly or folded over, that would improve your presentation a bit
  11. I think this is one of my favorite additions to your saga so far, and I can't wait to see the Festival continue! Great stands using those prefab doors, and the way you attached the torch holders/banners into them... Nice use of those missiles as beams being fired too I would like to see an overview of the build though
  12. I thought the polar bear Chima figs fit well in Mitgardia, particularly the Frozen Beyond, so I built a ice/snow fortress for them. "Svellbjorn" means ice-bear in Norse. The corner stone technique was borrowed from Andrew JN. The Svellbjorn are natives of the Frozen Beyond in Mitgardia, though their tendency to rarely venture outside their territory keeps their existence relatively unknown. Some hunters are bringing in a shark. And a fun shot, with a bit of glare off the 'ice': There are a few more pictures on brickbuilt. I may do more with the Svellbjorn in the future, I imagine them to be enemies of the Algus. C&C welcome
  13. These were my contributions to the Ye Old Merry Battleground layout at BFVA. The Vermillion realm (red) and the Cerulean realm (blue) are at war! The land's greatest heroes go head to head in many epic battles where breaches are made on both sides. The forest men who dwell outside of the two realms' protection acted upon the war's opportunity and planned their own schemes for riches. As you cross between the realms, beware of bandits, swindlers, and dragons. Be sure to check out the full write-up of the display on InnovaLUG.com.
  14. Definitely don't feel constrained by the color flags you own, you can always use 'flags' or banners you make with other parts
  15. Bought the Classic-Castle Knight's Challenge off of ebay for $50. For some reason the only 2 listed on BL are listed at $450
  16. Yeah, definitely looks like the Yoda sculpture.
  17. I'm glad to see this masterpiece finally posted in the guilds! The sprawling layout is quite elegant, and I really like your SNOT columns of 1x2 jumpers Great use of arches, round bricks, and gold lattices too And an excellent variety of trees
  18. Thank you, it's actually dark bley in the walls. Thanks, i don't use our dark red nearly enough Thanks! Thanks Garmadon! Thanks Mike, and actually, this was my one build for the YOMB display that did have a bit of interior! With the open window on front and back, I wanted to make sure it wasn't possible to see any filler brick, so I put an oven, table, and shelf of ingredients inside. No picture of it though.
  19. Very cool story to what inspired this excellent build. The building design is quite unique, and I like the stream
  20. Thanks, a slow-mo video was definitely needed Thanks! I knew I should have looked into whether Octan was even on C04, ah well Thank you Thanks!
  21. That is one epic speed boat! Love the super aggressive shape and smooth shaping
  22. Thanks narbilu! This was my favorite of the builds I made for the collab display. Thanks dG, and it is good to do some non-wintery builds occasionally Thanks Garmadon! I was really pleased with how the back turned out myself, part of my goal for this build was to have it interesting on all sides. Having so many builds together at once was definitely a new experience, though now it feels weird to have so many parts to work with again Thank you Thanks! I do tend to lean towards classic styling. Thank you Thanks Titus, I have lots of those cones so I thought it would be good to use them. Who can resist Forestmen? Thanks ME! Yeah! Mark started that stone wall trend for the display, and the rest of us gladly followed along
  23. Thanks Gideon Thanks Blufiji! What sort of thing would you have preferred to see rather than the mountain? Thanks Puvel! Thank you, dG, we were quite pleased that the complete layout came together so well. While building each individual module, it's hard to know for sure how it will all work out in the end. Thanks, it is quite hefty Thanks! Thanks ME And it's good to see you back in the Guilds! Thanks Kai! Being that this was set in Mitgardia, and we've got a whole dwarven mountain, dragons didn't seem to far-fetched. They were probably the most popular single feature in the public's eyes at BFVA
  24. Thanks Titus! The lighting does make the d. bley look a bit different here. And go for it! I'm certainly not the first to use that part as architectural decoration Thank you! I always appreciate your detailed comments
