  1. Stunning build! The olive green against light bley rocks and a dark brown path really pop together Gorgeous castle, and the autumn trees are also quite lovely. Great to see Challenge V get going
  2. Besides the size of BTTP displays, the incredible quality of landscaping always astounds me The buildings are always excellent too, but the landscapes have to be some of the best I've ever seen!
  3. Very cool medieval building! The timber framing is done well, and I like the handcuff used over the window
  4. One of the details that stood out most to me here, were the colorful shutters, very nice design Excellent layout overall as well
  5. I was admiring this on flickr yesterday. All you contributors did an amazing job with this
  6. Thanks for the link
  7. Thanks Legofin, and I always enjoy seeing others implement my characters/locations
  8. Yeah, the trans clear plates are over dark bley plates which I just overhung off the base plate. Most builders do something similar when putting a border on a build with a baseplate: overhang the plates 1 stud and you don't see the baseplate line.
  9. @Blaze You should add a link to your flickr stream in your signature, I'd love to be able to favorite this build for future reference. And also see updates on your builds at Flickr
  10. Thanks Titus Thank you, Puvel! Thanks en_zoo Thank you Graham! Thanks mrcp6d, it's always good to hear from you! Yeah, this made me want more dark green myself! Thank you Thanks Garmadon, and I do like those flowers in brown
  11. @en_zoo: Nope, I always use baseplates right at the bottom myself Here's a post on my website showing the build progress, link.
  12. Gorgeous Whoever helped you with the pics did a great job, they look fantastic! I very much like the layout of the build and how you have several different buildings included The woodwork all around is excellent, and the snow cover on roofs also looks very nice. Tremendous dragon as well! The dark silver parts for wings work beautifully and I like his spiky look It's great to have you back
  13. I have used baseplates for builds with irregular edges, Chillon Castle for instance: But generally, I find them most useful for large layouts with modular sections. Like John and my Nordheim and Katoren collabs.
  14. @Blaze Glad to hear that! @Legofin2012 Santa's Workshop is a nice set.
  15. Yay for the added overview picture! I like your humorous approach to the mini-challenge, the pumpkin warrior is great Good work with the SNOT base, incorporating the Spire colors, and setting up a raised area for Raavage
  16. Thanks! And yeah, John and I have had some fun with this one The log brick design of the shelter and wall are necessary to help the targets slide more smoothly, but I could likely have used a more complicated roof. Thank you, I wasn't sure how to make the ballistas functional at such a smalll scale, until I remember those disc launchers. Thanks Blufiji, the moving targets gave me some trouble at first, but the finished design is quite simple. Thanks! And yeah, the landscape steals the show here Thanks Kai, wasn't intending to make them look like tombstones, but they do have that shape.. Thanks Slegengr!
  17. A little surprising to see Mitgardian dwarves making Nocturnus pumkpin pies Excellent build though! The angled sections around the dragon cave are great, and I like the wooden sections incorporated into the stone walls
  18. Excellent interior! I quite like the round tiles decoration and the map is a pretty clever idea to include
  19. Archery Phase III, was finally able to get it posted
  20. The driving idea behind this MOC, was to have moving targets. Once I had those designed, I figured some functional ballistas would be a good addition, so the build basically became a target game. Both the large targets move together, and you can conceal one target at a time inside the control building. I also experimented with a dark tan and dark green landscape, and am pretty pleased with the result. The Annual Marksman tournament at Valholl consists of standard archery, and a separate competition with moving targets for ballistas. Who will win this year? More pics here. C&C always appreciated
  21. Looks like a well equipped and capable chef
  22. Glad to have you back in the guilds, Puvel! Great color choices for the market stalls, and the 2 trees in the back help finish off the scene well I like your approach to the shield rack, and weapon display too
  23. The wooden rafters are what stand out to me most, though I also like the large barrel holder made with upside down arches The large round window is a nice touch as well
  24. Very fun kitchen! From the dragon 'oven' to the ice room, you've packed in detail throughout
