Possibly, it is a bit above the lava, to be honest I'm more used to building snowy environments than lava ones Thanks Gabe I did make the bottoms of the falls have 'splashes', but they aren't real noticeable, also I have the lava splashing up a little bit on the section of rockwork in the foreground. Overall though, I think you're right and that a bit more irregularity in the lava probably would have looked better. I didn't really want to do much experimentation with the lava because it is all built on a two plate thick layer of clear 1x2 plates that span the whole lava section... I actually had to make a support that I could slide under the trans plates to go underneath wherever I was attaching the cheese slopes so that the trans layer wouldn't collapse when I pressed down. Thanks for such a long detailed comment. I think I will have another go at lighting sometime

I love your vine design, will have to borrow that, and the top section of the tower is fantastic :wub:The whole scene works very well together and captures an excellent Black Spire vibe

I the duo of double waterfalls and the frogs sitting on the bank are a nice touch Excellent rockwork and the trees look good too
-
Lovely floor pattern and I like how you made each side of the build match the faction it's representing Great stained glass windows and the balcony the king and queen use is excellent, nice use of those 1x4 tiles with studs at the ends. I also really appreciate the extra work you put into your builds to add PF It is always great to see another build from you

Excellent finish to your tower builds. The wooden section at the top looks great and adds to the Mitgardian feel of the build Like mcp6d,I really like the little entry building connected to the main tower Excellent bridge too -
Good texture on the ground and the burning flag is a nice touch

That is an impressive collection of elves Great work giving each clan their own distinct style

Thanks Thanks Gideon, I thought the plants on the roof added some nice color and added to the Nocturnus feel of the building, and it seems pretty common for moss/vines/whatever to grow on roofs if they aren't kept up well. If the lighting had worked as I planned it, it would have been much more even. There were going to be two light sources underneath the right side of lava and one in the right lava fall. Unfortunately when I went to put the light sources into place, only one would fit under the right pool of lava (even though I tested how they would fit when I build that section ) and the light source in the right lava fall wasn't bright enough to show

Thanks! I almost asked for credit on the roof/roof rake, but I do roofs a lot so I decided I could wait a bit

Thanks Jareth Thanks Kayne, I use a free web-host for my website and therefore it can be rather problematic. I'm going to get a better web-host (one that you actually have to pay for) in 2014. That's fine with me for the lighting category, I can see why you would want some lighting in the actual building

Thanks janatale! I got the idea for the roof design from this build by Legonardo: Thank you, and I did think about the plants being rather close to the lava, but I decided I liked their aesthetic enough that they were worth keeping even if they are a bit unrealistic

The row boat works surprisingly well for a wagon The cow pulling it is great as well Looks like Fool and Jester are on their way to a successful business

Excellent addition to your phase I build. I see that you took the advice about finishing the ends of your roofs with slopes Do you have any pictures of the interior?

I'm glad you're on Team Nocturnus The leaning effect on the tower is superb and I like the wooden section at the top, neat door and window there. The rockwork is fantastic, I think you're the only one I've seen build cliffs that way. Lots of great details throughout: the raft, the crane lifting supplies, the door in the rockwork leading to a balcony, the palisade, and especially the ballista So happy that you joined GoH
